I met a guy in the city that supported himself selling cracked firesticks, I shit you not. 40 bucks a pop and it'd be plug and play all the way supposedly, and that's all he did, sell those via word of mouth.
As an old, I have to chuckle at the whole thing as it reminds me of the '80s when (if you knew who to talk to) you could pay a guy to open up your 13 channel, wood paneled cable box, move a few things around, and give you free Home Box Office. It was the tits, let me tell you.

Hate to tell you this... I don't know if you have kids yet, but it absolutely does not matter how you raise them, if they're gay they're gay. The only thing you're teaching your children, if they are gay, is that their father probably will hate them if he finds out, and they better hide in the closet until they grow up and can escape you. Nothing else. LGBTQ is not the result of poor parenting, friend, it's genetic.

I want to love the idea of a universal messaging app, but being on a waiting list with tens of thousands of other people for months has killed my excitement for it.
Does anyone else see "1 more reply" fairly often, but when you click it, the one more reply is not revealed?
I don't know if this is a problem with the app, a problem with Lemmy in general, or if I'm just doing something to fuck things up which is most likely. Quite often, I'll make a comment on Lemmy somewhere, and then the next time I go to make a comment, the text from my previous comment is already in the box and I have to delete it all to begin anew. Sometimes I get like an error message about it, sometimes I don't, sometimes it doesn't happen at all. It's a little unpredictable. Does anyone know if this is a known issue, or if I'm doing something to cause it? Edit: I added a pic of the error message. Interestingly, the error indicates that the app quit while I was typing, but that's never the actual case. I post and comment just fine, with no app failures. I just get this message the next time I open Voyager.
I'm not a big networking guy, so I'm not sure exactly the best way to ask this. My internet tends to drop out a lot, and I get disconnected. I'm wondering if there's an app out there that I can just put on on my laptop or phone and let it run in the background for like 24 hours to see exactly how many times my internet really gets disconnected during the day. I'd like to be able to contact my ISP and give actual information rather than guessing. Anyone know if such an app exists?
And if you do, what's best, killing every enemy in the dungeon, or just speed running to the boss?

When you click on a picture preview, and it opens up, in order to close it, you have to click the little X up in the top right hand corner. On big screens, it might be nice if you could just tap anywhere that's not the picture and it would go away and take you back to what you were looking at before.

Hey there. Looking for tips. I have a level 40 pulverize druey and just got to King Tyrant Brol. I just can't seem to get him. I even went back to Tier I to try, and it's the same every time, I use up all my potions before I'm half done with him, and then he gets me. I try to get out of his AoE when his circle pops up, and his adds aren't really a problem, I just consistently run out of potions and he doesn't seem to drop many. Any advice for me?

I'm seeing a lot of celebratory posts around in various communities regarding the explosive "growth" over the last couple days. Meanwhile, I'm seeing posts about the registration exploit, and how even just to test it out, the guy reporting it created tens of thousands of accounts on an instance in a matter of minutes. Instances are popping up with 10,000 "new users" and only 5 posts (I made those numbers up but they are representative of what's popping up all over the place). How many accounts got created in the last hour is seemingly no longer meaningful in terms of engagement.
I saw a question elsewhere and it made me wonder... this dude basically posted asking what the heck is wrong with people who play Diablo IV and don't min-max, and asking how that could possibly be fun. What are y'all's thoughts? I'm kinda torn. I don't like it, personally. If I have my druthers, I like to set up my characters with things that I think are fun and look cool, not necessarily things that are best/most powerful etc. It's interesting how so many people want every player wearing the exact same gear, using the exact same things (even in the exact same order for some games!)... For a lot of people, their whole goal seems to be to clear rooms as fast as humanely possible, to get to the end and beat the boss as fast as humanely possible so you can see what he drops, lather rinse repeat. I'm like, do you even enjoy playing the game? That feels like work to me. I prefer to take it slow because I like playing the game; I don't really want to be one-shotting everything all the time, because I I like a challenge, and I often prefer gear that looks cool af over gear that is qualitatively "the best". However, I do understand that I'm in the minority on that, or so it seems, and I don't want to end up with a character that no one will raid with, getting kicked for using the "wrong" gear and skills. In that respect in multiplayer games, I feel pressured to fall in line (assuming I make it to the end game, lol). What are you guys' thoughts?

I have the "digital deluxe" edition, which should come with: Diablo III Inarius Wings Diablo III Muloc pet Diablo Immortal Umber WInged Darkness Cosmetics The dialogue boxes indicated I could find these in the wardrobe. Nothing is there though... I'm thinking maybe this stuff is actually for use within Diablo III and Diablo Imortal, not actually for use in DIV... is that correct?
I am literally just starting, and my friends that I'm gonna play with are telling me "pick anything but a druid, they're bad". But then I see articles out there saying that Druids are one of the most powerful at end game. Any thoughts from some of you that have been playing?
