This also might be the thing the first astronauts warned us about a private space industry. Sure, they can innovate faster and cheaper, but not as safely. There's a 60 minutes interview with musk crying because his astronaut idols didn't see eye to eye with him on privatizing space.

You get it! Sadly the star Michael St. Michael was recently ill and had a GoFundMe, but that did give us the opportunity to view the movie in a limited support screening to help him out. Was worth it to see it again in theater.

The Greasy Strangler had a very minor theatrical release and is a fantastically weird movie I love to recommend.

Directed by Bobcat Goldthwait, great movie!

Would be helpful to compare fleet sizes, how many accidents per total flights. Total accidents doesn't mean much without a comparison of either those stats.

Absolutely agree. I'd argue Blazing Arrow by Blackalicious is one of the greatest albums of all time. And that came out in 2002, eight years after Illmatic. Blazing Arrow is such a seamless and well thought out album from start to finish. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blazing_Arrow

Lol, I look forward to good results by the end of the year? Maybe not the best algorithm after all.
I personally don't have one particular way of discovering new music. It's a mix of suggestions from different apps or friends. Shazam during movies and TV also helps guide some discoveries. Also just clicking through a rabbit hole of suggestions and marking stuff you like for future digging.

Not trying to call you out or anything, just my googlefu couldn't find anything about any government jobs that did this. All I found was companies and other countries that were trying it out.
I feel like it would be big news if that was an option for people seeking employment anywhere.

I posted a lot on my .world account in a community and when I switched to .dbzer0 nothing showed up on the said community before my new account existed. This is months if not a year ago. Thought it was a larger lemmy issue, might still be ongoing.
betabob 7 months ago • 97%
I still think this is the biggest issue with lemmy right now. There should be a way for communities that are identical across instances that can connect where a post would be cross posted and connected with links to each instance it's connected with.

The article mentions "Alliance for Creativity and Entertainment". https://www.alliance4creativity.com/
Looks like a group that takes down piracy websites.
I assume MPA refers to "The Motion Picture Association". They keep changing their name: "The MPA, originally called the Motion Picture Producers and Distributors of America (MPPDA) and later the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA)", then abbreviated to MPA.
Just clarifying the abbreviations since it isn't really explained/articulated in the article.
betabob 7 months ago • 100%
A bit misleading but yes, 1000km is what they are talking about. Also the article doesn't address scalability.

As mentioned, the first outcome would end the game in turn 14 and also be impossible to place in the first phase of the game. The second solution comes closer but weighs heavily on getting two tile types to get there.
I just got the game and have been loving it but there are many more variables to solve this. Some examples are: group size, and random tiles drawn.

Thanks for the information! I'll look into it, sorry for my ignorance on the dev, just wasn't aware of it.
betabob 9 months ago • 100%
No worries. I try to stay informed but there are to many projects to keep up. Keep us updated on the progress if you can, but an individual dev might lack the manpower for such an endeavor. All the best thought, am always happy to see any foss projects moving forward!
betabob 9 months ago • 93%
Neither your post or the link for the fundraising even says what the project is or what it does. I assume it's a foss browser or Operating system (maybe), but there is a lack of information upfront. I could look it up, but as of now I'm not sure why if a simple explanation could be added to either. Firefox is my go-to browser, if this could be a better fork or alternative I'd like to know that before funding any project. Also, 12k seems like a lot more than what is tallied in the costs, but good luck to the dev/project!

Sure, but I feel like there is still fluctuation and more often than not a varying degree of activity and posts that it makes it hard to stick to just one (identical) community for now. I'm sure it'll settle over time though.

betabob 10 months ago • 100%
Same, on many topics. How would I know which community will have the most activity, or none at all. It's my biggest issue here. Not a deal breaker, but annoying.
betabob 10 months ago • 100%
Why couldn't one of the communities abandoned just be dropped from the 'group' then. Or have Moderators from several communities work together to moderate a larger one. They are still federated, just working together. If one becomes obsolete, defederate it or let it be. Why should I have to be subscribed to the same topic several times to find the discussion?
Only a few more games left this season, we'll be there supporting in person tonight, hopefully we don't get rained out!
Forgot to post for Wednesday's game vs LAFC, it was a close one, but was rough seeing Fagundez play against us. We need some points to qualify for the tournament tonight, Listos Verde!
Listos Verde, let's get back above the playoff line!
Miami also plays vs Nashville @6:30 for those Messi fans. Hopefully we can recover from our second longest losing streak. Listos Verde, we're back at home!
Sad last second goal kept us from being Copa Texas champs a second year in a row. The red card was surprising. We are still in the bracket to qualify for the tournament but it's a tight race! Listos Verde!!
Finally back from our hiatus after getting tossed out the Leagues cup in the group phase. Going to be missing Fagundez. Listos Verde!
