Yeah just let me watch new movies from the comfort of my couch. I’ll just wait for them to come to streaming anyway.

I've been following this one, but I'm not really sold on it. I feel like it's a little too sandbox for my tastes, but I love the aesthetics!

Just picked up Dave the Diver on sale and am loving it.
Edit to remove a game newer than 12 months! :-p
Disappointing, but I get why they're doing it.

Just got back from the vet, no fungal infection but they’re trying some really strong antibiotics. Because of some swelling in the bridge of his nose, they are also thinking polyps or a tumor if the strong antibiotics don’t get it. Guess we’ll see how the next few days go.

Here's a picture of the little guy. His name is Wheatley.
Hello all! Looking for any advice or thoughts from anyone else in a similar position. One of our cats has been super congested (whenever he is active you can especially hear it) for a few weeks now. I know most cats always have a low level viral respiratory infection (especially shelter cats), but last Tuesday (9/3) I took him to the vet and they said he may have a secondary bacterial infection so they gave him a shot of antibiotics and said he should be better in a week or two. Today, he still sounds just as bad and stuffed up. I also tried having him in the bathroom while I ran the shower hot and it seemed to loosen up a little, but it still sounds almost as bad. Anyone have a similar experience? I am planning on taking him back to the vet early next week if it doesn't improve over the weekend but I'd rather avoid the bill if this is more of a 'wait it out' situation.

Agreed. In my experience, the more processed the original product is, the easier it is to replicate.

I legit saw something about it for the first time and was like ‘is this a Raid Shadow Legends spin-off’? I remember seeing the character in their ads so was very confused at first.
How is it in 2024 now that it’s finished? A lot of reviews I see are based on when it originally came out but I’m curious about the current state of the game. With it being on sale now it seems like it’s worth it even with flaws. For some context, I’m not a huge city-builder guy (I’ve played some here and there) but the sci-fi setting and the narrative are what interest me here. I don’t really care about replayability as long as one play through is entertaining enough. Any thoughts?

I don’t know what I’d add, I’m not nearly creative or talented enough to design games. I just love the world and want more official stories in it.
I trust Valve to only do it if they have something that would be as big a jump as there was between 1 and 2.

Going to name a few that I would be happy with:
Jimmy Eat World - Clarity
Mineral - The Power of Failing
Anathallo - Floating World
The Decemberists - Picaresque
Neutral Milk Hotel - In the Aeroplane Over the Sea

Gotta second the Miele. We have the C3 and it is fantastic. Our friend who is allergic to cats barely had any trouble when she comes over because of that vacuum, she even ended up buying one too.
They are expensive so hopefully you can find a used one. There are also places that will repair them, so you don’t need to trash them if something breaks.

As someone who completely missed out on it when it first aired, watching it for the first time last year I don’t think the last season was that bad either. Certainly not as good as the highs of the first two seasons, but still decent.

I played this game and loved it but never finished it. I feel like I was either too dumb to figure out what to do next, or I could tell what I needed to do but couldn’t maneuver my ship/character well enough. Total skill issue on my part, though I intend to dive back in at some point.

I am so sorry, that is a horrible story. It is not your fault!
I saw this and thought, well yeah that VP is right, cold calls are annoying spam. However, based on the insane comments by all the salespeople, you'd be wrong. Like, are salespeople that out of touch with normal people?
So I've been doing a deep dive into all this stuff recently, I find it to be fun and interesting. However, I'm having trouble figuring out exactly what all these whistleblowers are alleging. Basically, the idea is that there is a secretive group of USG employees that know what is going on with UAPs and researching stuff, but Congress and the President know nothing of it and have no oversight of it? Is it just a bunch of high-ranking military people who pass the knowledge on to their successor when they retire? Or is the idea that all of these whistleblowers and Congress are in on it and this is all part of a slow 'controlled disclosure' scenario? Or is it a combined scenario where some members of the Executive Branch DO know about it but others don't? Obviously, there are no hard and fast answers to this, I just feel like I keep hearing conflicting things about who in the USG knows what, and wondering if there is any kind of rough consensus about this? Probably a fools errand, but I figured I'd at least ask.
Anyone else have fond memories of Star Control 2?
Been waiting my whole adult life for this one!
Hello all, I am a 39M whose wife (42F) was just diagnosed with ADHD. We’ve had a suspicion ever since our 6 year old was diagnosed and we started doing a deep dive into it and realizing a lot of the symptoms fit her. Even some of the memes from this community helped her to start looking into it herself. She is relieved to find out she’s not just ‘a disorganized slob’, that there is a reason for her struggles, but now the real work begins. My question is: what do you wish your partner would have known/done for you? I want to be as supportive as possible and make sure I’m not contributing to any negative feelings, and help her find ways to build coping mechanisms. Just looking for any advice!
Just found out about this law that went into effect in 2021 in MD. HOAs or communities cannot require turf-only landscapes.
Just so tired of almost every time a doctor submits stuff to insurance, we have to be the ones to make multiple phone calls to both the doctor's office and insurance to iron everything out, figure out what the issue is (it's always a different issue), and basically be the go-between for the office and insurance. What am I paying $500+/month for?! It's like paying for the privilege of having an exhausting part-time job. And yes, I understand that insurance wants to weasel out of paying anything, but this isn't even shadiness, just straight up incompetence and lack of communication/following procedures. The amount of emotional energy we have to spend untangling this stuff leaves us drained.
So excited for this - a sequel to Star Control 2.
So my wife and I were watching through Babylon 5 on Tubi. We've both never seen it and have really enjoyed it. We hit the end of season 4 and it really felt like the end of the show (I'm aware of the background issues and also that the season 5 finale was filmed for the end of season 4 but then shifted around) and we were very satisfied with where everything was left. We took a break to put a hold at our library on a DVD of the movies to watch "In the Beginning" before we started season 5. Got the DVD, started watching it, and my wife started falling asleep, so we stopped and just...haven't gone back. I can't explain it, but neither of us feel super motivated to continue even though we were really enjoying the show. So, B5 fans who have watched the whole series, what can you say to motivate us to continue watching?!
Just to be clear, this isn’t my creation, just something I found and wanted to share.
