There are a few community archetypes that will always gradually, but inevitably, cease to offer anything of substance without a strong understanding of moderation. Unpopular opinions, communities built around making fun of [topic], any communities that can be used for creative writing, etc.. This community is a step further than most in that its subject matter is actively antagonistic in addition to being a potential space for creative writing. It’s doomed to fail without bizarrely dedicated mods or a queue of posts pending approval.

But… but musk said that starlink isn’t meant to be used for WAR! He surely wouldn’t lie in order to attempt to spin his intent to prolong the war and sell to the other side through an intermediary!!!
For example, Mystique being transgender and Morph being non-binary.

I can see people bopping along to music and ignoring the non-chorus lyrics but x-men, the half century old segregation allegory with enough content to occupy a small library… that is a hard sell. It feels insincere.

I require an example of someone stating that x-men isn’t woke. I don’t believe anyone could avoid understanding that.

If they exclusively targeted larger companies, they’d be fine with me. Generally, the way they operate is to first strike smaller, more vulnerable companies to build their case before suing a larger one. Patent reform can’t come soon enough.

I muted the game after an hour of anime noises so I have no opinion on the music. I honestly hated the combat, though. It was the worst parts of every combat system I’ve ever encountered, with slow enemy attacks coupled with slow movement and high HP that just made for long, easy slogs. Like master mode on BOTW. I enjoyed the genshin koroks and exploration, though. Those were fun.

“Police were quoted as saying “she had it coming, that mouthy *****r” before promising that they would end her family line generation by generation while she watches, cold and broken, from her holding cell. Several severed thumbs were reportedly discovered at her bedside in a punisher tote bag. Upon review, police declared that no department regulations were violated.”

Reminds me of a conversation I had a decade ago about “reverse rape.” It’s just rape. Academic study of racism hasn’t made “power+prejudice” the de facto definition and, as a result, it’s ostensibly racist to say “white western take.” I say this, once again, while agreeing with you.

That private prisons have contracts stipulating a minimum number of prisoners with long-term guarantees is dystopian on its own. Every bit past that is a shit cherry on top. The incestuous relationship between government and private industry exists because regulatory capture is ridiculously difficult to frugally undo once contracts are in place. How no one has tracked down the ceos of Corrections Corp of America et al., I honestly don’t know. There’s a very small, specific, actionable set of people making the world worse.

In a vacuum, absolutely. With human meddling inadvertently causing hotter, longer, broader, and more frequent fires, natural fires can cause a full or partial reset more frequently. Except in aus. Eucalyptus is future-proof. Just like politics, ecology finds people are the problem.

Politics is similar to the ecological structure and development of a forest. You begin with grasses which shield fledgling shrubs from the elements. The shrubs eventually push out the grass and make way for trees that push out the shrubs and then trees that push out the earlier trees. Then fire and flooding that brings you back to step 2.5. Focus on trees after you slit the stem of every single shrub and hope fire doesn’t set you back after.

Moderation federation is very spotty and always has been. I’ve cumulatively spent a few hours checking and it’s consistently inconsistent. Not to mention the fact that the referenced post was made after a user tried to make .world their personal drama blog using several accounts. This and the other post strike me as faux indignation.

Not sure if you’re aware of what happened to .world for a few months. If you decide to ascribe any political philosophy or moderation ethics to sublinks, it may be worth checking out the attack vectors used over there. Optimizing sql lookups extendedly occupied the .world admins so you’re already a bit ahead of the curve there.

Seems you’re getting frustrated by folks misunderstanding. I think it comes down to the oversimplification of a bar graph. Gotta offer data visualization that says what you mean it to. The bar graph says brave>tor. It’s probably best to avoid the bar graph or accept that people will misunderstand it. I’m a fan of privacytests. It’s a great starting point.

24 seems a decent time. Returning to the brain plasticity of a 4 year old with all of the memories and knowledge of a 24 year old would produce a horrific intellect and potential. Society would leap forward in any task you decide to advance. The indescribable isolation may well be the only issue, but piles of money heal many forms of hurt. See: Magic Johnson
