The end. Closure. I hope Brendon gets all the praise in the world. I wish I could thank every person who helped make this happen. I'm simply lost for words to describe how I feel.

Not sure why, but this is what TV Time looks like for me. It's the same now as when I tried two weeks ago.
I'll start. Two weeks ago I started using Trakt. It's a website/app designed to keep track of shows and movies you've watched, and gives you a list of which episode is available to watch next which updates as new episodes are released. A lot of other similar websites I tried don't have everything cataloged (some done have anime, while sites like Letterboxd only do movies). Recommendations function is pretty horrible though and they lock basic filtering functionality behind a subscription, but it's still pretty good for what I need it for. It also gives you stats for your total watch time. Which is now 192 days.. Not including reruns.. So maybe it's double that. I don't know whether to be disappointed in myself or proud.

Jeez, this sub has not been fair to you :/
I agree with you. It is important to try to fairly represent the opinions of others. Because once you do, then you can fairly tell them why you believe they're wrong.
Giving them reasons to doubt God based on flawed assumptions will teach them poor epistemology.
"I don't believe in God because I've never seen him" is not a good reason to believe God isn't real. There are legitimately good reasons, children must hear them.

What you described is called Steelmanning. It is the opposite of strawmanning.
The idea is to concisely repeat your opponents argument with the most charitable interpretation to see if they disagree with anything, for the purposes of ironing out any misconceptions.
People who cannot steelman are either ignorant, or malicious.

She's ready eating off a plate lol. I say bowl as a colloquial term. She really has nothing to complain about other than my lack of immediate attention.

It's what I'm doing now. Although it's really hard sometimes. I'm frequently busy at my computer, and ignoring her means she'll walk all over my desk and stare at me for a few minutes which is very frustrating.
Obviously I'm trying not to encourage her annoying behaviors, but sometimes I don't have the time to be patient.

Makes sense, but I don't know why she would develop the habit after four years of eating food without hesitation. She hasn't had any serious illness.
I even go through the effort of changing her food bowl daily so she doesn't smell the old food. She could even eat some of the food, come back in an hour and demand I prep her food again. It's very annoying.

If I must..
She's five years old now and developed an annoying habit within the past six months. Until now, she's eaten her food by herself when hungry, but she's gotten into the habit of wanting her food to be 'prepared'. Basically, I'll be working at my computer and she'll come into my computer room, jump up on my desk, sit and meow at me, reach up and touch my leg with her paw, or just sit at the door and stare at me to get my attention. Then, she'll lead me to her food and ask me to do prepare it. If I pick up the plate and shake it, or simply move her dry kibbles around with my hand, then dinner's ready! So, evidently, the issue isn't with the food itself. I suspect it's a social habit, but it's driving me a bit nutty. I've moved the food bowl into my computer room so she can eat and be social with me, but it isn't enough, she still wants me to prep her food. Sometimes she doesn't even want me to prep her food, simply gesturing to leave the chair will prompt her to begin eating (though sometimes not). If I ignore her she'll eventually start eating after a few minutes, but it's annoying. If anyone knows a way to break this habit and encourage my daughter to regain her independence and self-autonomy, I'll be eternally grateful.

A friend recommended this to me, a few years back.
It was incredibly annoying to hear this guy either making blanket statements about the alt-rights intentions, strawmanning, mind-reading or just outright infer correlations because it seems obvious to him.
Some of it is evidently true, but a lot of the rationality and evidence leading to those facts is not sufficient enough for me to accept his claims.

"Your capacity to be offended, isn’t something that I or anyone else needs to respect. Your capacity to be offended isn’t something you should respect. In fact, it’s something you should be on your guard for, perhaps more than any other property of your mind.
This feeling can mislead you. If you care about justice (and you absolutely should) you should care about facts and the ability to discuss them openly. Justice requires contact with reality.
It simply isn’t the case, it cannot be the case, that the most pressing claims on our sense of justice need come from those who claim to be most offended by conversation itself."

I don't think the amount of people getting high will change much. It's pretty easy to find weed wherever you go. All this will do is remove the black market, and provide high-quality weed for cheaper prices.
No studies have been able to show [canabis impairment] increases the actual risk of crashing, or that drivers with THC in their blood cause a disproportionate number of crashes.
It seems redundant to worry about it. Alcohol is worth testing for, the physiological impairment is dangerous (blacking out, blurred vision), and drunk people make riskier decisions.

Even if I did, it wouldn't be a valid experiment. Vyvanse can only be metabolised by digestion. You can't snort, smoke, shelf or inject it. Vyvance takes more than an hour to start working and lasts 12+ hours, meth is a few minutes and lasts a few hours.
My point is they are quite different. Vyvanse, by design, is much harder to abuse, and most people don't want to take it recreationally.

I would chalk that up to adrenaline. Also the pain depends on where the break is. If the muscles around the broken bone are spasming, then the two halves of the bone are going to be grinding against each other. That's why we use a splint in first aid.

- ability to shapeshift, but your bones and muscles are going to hurt like hell. You think breaking a bone is bad? Try having all the bones in your face rearrange themselves.

As someone who takes Vyvanse 70mg (lisdexamfetamine) daily, and have smoked meth a few times, they're quite different. Vyvanse does give you energy, but it doesn't make you feel ecstatic. To me it just feels like a really strong coffee but I don't feel like shit and I can sleep at night.
I've been through Vyvanse withdrawals twice, and it sucks, but its nothing like meth withdrawal (I haven't experienced it myself, but I know people who have). People with a meth addiction are desperate enough to commit crime. Vyvanse withdrawals are so bad, sometimes us neuro-atypicals forget to take our addictive and dangerous drugs.

Absolutely. Foremost, the governments job is to keep everything ticking along. My issue is with the politicians who vote against the will of the majority of the people, when it has no impact on keeping the gears turning.
Legalising weed would do nothing but good for our economy, numerous countries have already proved that. If I can step over them and skip months of bickering back and forth (so they can go back to arguing about how to improve things), I'm going to step over them.

Proton just keeps getting better, it seems like they're trying to create a suite to compete with Microsoft.
Email, cloud storage, VPN, calendar and recently password manager.
I do wish their VPN client for Linux was a priority sooner (they're working on it now). Also, I can't get email notifications on my degoogled phone because it uses Firebase for push notifications.
Other than that, I love Proton. I pay for Proton Unlimited, I'm happy to support their growth for a great product range.
For a few years I used dark mode because i thought it was better for your eyes; it isn't. When in dark mode, you're looking at an overall darker screen, your pupils will dilate to let in more light, which makes everything just outside of focus very blurry, and gives the text a halo effect. A few minutes will be fine, but anything longer is going to make your eyes begin to strain. When in light mode, your pupils contract to accommodate for the light, this is how our eyes are supposed to work, this is going to be less straining on your eyes. In low light environments, simply turn down the brightness and apply a night light filter. If you're going to use dark mode regardless, don't use AMOLED unless it's for saving battery. The contrast between bright white and pitch black is the worst combination. Consider using a soft grey, your eyes will thank you. [Source](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bCaFRN3aaP8)
Old habits die hard, but there's Reddiquette which needs to be revived, and some which needs to die. Many "golden-age" redditors remember a time when downvoting was reserved for hostility, not a different opinion. For the sake of our growing community I would like to implore everyone to be awesome to each other. However, this place is not Reddit. - We don't measure in bananas here. - We don't need to append "edit: typo" to edited posts and comments. - if you see something which is worthy of a downvote: down vote and move on! Don't engage with it and feed the algorithm/engament machine so other people are exposed to it when sorting by active.
