Why not just make a good enough laptop for a cheap price ?
You can have a good laptop or a cheap one, not both.

I run Linux Mint Cinnamon, latest version, on a GPD Pocket 2 with absolutely no issues. The touch screen, although it is a small one, works perfectly.

You are a fair removed. People working the carnival / fair scene don't have the best of reputation. In Belgium we had a song about this phenomenon and the real fair people were all kinds of angry about the stereotype. The thing is about stereotypes: it really has a base in reality.

No matter how much you invest you're time and effort for your job: You are expendable, and the only people who will know you were absent from home because of work 20 years later, will be your kids.

It should have fallen on her manager to handle, and she should have put her foot down on that.
Head of HR is Linus' wife. Yes, it is that bad. Even telling her manager, would have netted zero result.

and offers a true desktop experience in a handheld.
Awkwardly telling us it's an unsuited Windows 11 installation on a handheld. Would not want it on my desktop, let alone on my unwieldy handheld.

Duvel, Belgium's premium beer. Duvel translates to Devil, the beer most preferred by Joe Cocker and the reason he wouldn't return to Belgium because it would be the end of him. Looking back he had a point. (1944-2014)

My main OS since Linux Mint 17.3, and still very happy with it. Switched from MacOS after a 10 year Apple stint and haven't regretted it for even a second. My hardware needs were much cheaper if anything.

Daar gaat het dan ook helemaal niet om: goede antwoorden. Moeilijke vragen moeten gesteld kunnen worden zonder zo'n hissy-fit. Daar zijn reporters voor.

After whining for a long time my mom let me see Carrie on a Wednesday afternoon, the Sissy Spacek version. After watching it pretty unscathed to the end the scene came where they show her grave and the hand rises up from the grave....My first official jump scare and since I still remember it today, it has left quite the impression.

That's what Rossmann has been advocating for years. The Most silly thing is: Amazon canceled his account because he dared to call them out for shady behavior against a paying customer and not even apologizing for it when they were caught, with their trousers around their ankles, for being wrong.

It's a large wholesale seller of computer gear, and they rather not deal with checking if the watch you wear is yours or comes from the stock they keep, so that's why the rules are strict. Sucks big time. Huge metal detectors and detector wands when you leave.
In later times the Superman 4 movie was burned to the ground, but at the time I was happy with a new Super movie.
Cheated a bit by having it be battle damaged. You can hide the imperfections in the damages ;-)
