I thought about making a TLDW, but it's a good video with lots of info. Just watch it.
This is a interesting video about nostr, despite the fact that I don't agree with 100% of the video. I don't believe that nostr will replace everything, but I believe it will be very capable of replacing a lot of social media functions.

cross-posted from: https://lemmy.world/post/19879824 > If you ever wanted to know what would happen to all the Christians when the communists take over, the Reverend Estus W. Pirkle has the gory answer. > > Directed by Ron Ormond, an exploitation filmmaker who found Jesus but still used his exploitation sensibilities to make this film. Rev. Pirkle is not very charismatic, but Ormond apparently thought very highly of him. The "actors" he was able to find for the film are not exactly talented. > > Keep an eye out for my three favorite scenes, all three about kids: > > • The kids in the classroom with the candy > • The kid who wants to know where his parents are > • The kid and the two communists who have a stick. > > There is an LP version of the sermon in this film. The band Negativland sampled it for their song Christianity is Stupid from the Escape From Noise album, which is where I first heard any of this. > > By the way, almost every single person in this movie is ugly. Like it's kind of amazing how ugly everyone is. > > Edit: found a collage of screenshots. > > > ![](https://lemmy.world/pictrs/image/e27bdeba-0820-4e4d-8a37-89e6864f970e.png)
I'm not sure why they chose the title that they did though.

These folks are scary and nuts.
Stephen Miller, Trump advisor, absolutely loses his mind when journalist José María Del Pino asks him where he gets his information about Venezuela's supposed low crimes rates.
I'll never forget his contribution to the fallout community, as well as my childhood.
I've stumbled upon that in my feed.
Not American, just liked the music > Here comes the general… election! The Election of 2024 is fast approaching, and your voice matters now more than ever. > > Your vote isn't just a right—it's a responsibility. Don’t throw away your shot—get involved, and vote in 2024! > > Plan, Pledge, and Register with help from VoteRiders.org and WhenWeAllVote.org > > Featured in the video are Hamilton Broadway cast members Amanda Braun, Chloë Campbell, Marc delaCruz, Jared Dixon, Julia Estrada, Alexander Ferguson, Tamar Greene, Johanna Moise, Willie “Tré” Smith, Gabriella Sorrentino, Ebrin R. Stanley, Cherry Torres and Morgan Anita Wood. Lyrics for the anthem are written by Kurt Crowley and music is by Lin-Manuel Miranda, who also serves as a When We All Vote Co-Chair.
The American debates had me thinking about this one.
