I have even more respect for medical training and doctors. It never occurred to me that they would go through this level of preparation before working in the field. Kudos, damn.
It's also wild to read that a real human cadaver hadn't been dissected until the mid 1500s. As much as the world is shit right now, at least I can be comforted in knowing that if I need surgery, it's based on real knowledge of anatomy.

Good point. It does read like a liability disclaimer.
I've noticed that Google doesn't always get the speed limit correct on more rural roads.
Or it can't tell if a temporary, lowered speed sign has been posted in a construction zone, for example.

I asked chatGPT what some of the risks are associated with using it in place of a certified therapist. This was the point I found most salient:
Ethical Concerns: ChatGPT is not bound by the same ethical guidelines as therapists, which include confidentiality, handling crises, and ensuring patient well-being.

And I heard that can sometimes happen with cuttings. Well, for snake plants, at least, so I wonder if it's the same with other plants 😊

Ask them about their investment strategies. If they put all your money on mutual funds, ETFs, etc (i.e. managed accounts that you can choose yourself in a self-directed account) then run.
Advisors often get a kick-back for getting their clients to invest in managed accounts where they have a relationship with the fund managers. AND you pay the fund management fees to the fund company on top of whatever your advisor charges you for their own fees.

The longest friend I've ever had is someone I met in school that lives on the other side of the continent... I haven't seen them in maybe half a lifetime now.
Buy we send each other funny stuff and random updates. I don't know why it has lasted, other than that there are low expectations and it's mutual. It's actually really refreshing.

I met a few good friends by joining a local, free run club in the area. We were all the slow people at the back 😂
I moved and the friendships didn't last, but I think that's just part of life. The older I get, the more stars need to align to maintain relationships.

I met my best friend while we were both volunteering to help kids with some stuff we're both really good at.
We're both nerdy about the same things. I made a few friends from that activity but only one has stood the test of time 🥹

Posting to several communities at the same time is spammy.

On the surface, success appears to happen overnight. In reality, it's a lot of long, thankless hours. That's why big success is rare, and can feel serendipitous at times.
It's also okay to try really hard and then change your mind, or feel disappointed if it doesn't work out ❤️

Discovery used to be science, nature, and well-researched documentaries. Then it turned into the TV version of click-bait. Netflix seems to be taking the torch from Discovery with some of their "Netflix Series Documentaries".
