While base HTML+CSS is nice it's a lot easier to use a Static Site Generator. At least the ones that don't generate sites that use or need JavaScript. But since I started with Flask it wasn't hard to transition to Lektor as they are both Python libraries.

I see "In python What are the difference between xrange and Flask" is one of the questions. Do interviewers like comparing Apples to Oranges? Though I suppose if I hadn't used Flask to make a website in the past I wouldn't know any better.
