I am running manjaro with a AMD 7900XT GPU, i needed to do a lot of work to get my windows vm to display correctly and it does not perform well in terms of graphics inside the VM. Personally I keep a dual boot with Win11 debloated to run games that require kernel level anticheat. With that said, if you wanna know if it's a good idea to switch, protondb.com gives you what to expect from your games on Linux!

If you can't find that tab, it could also be because you need to go to steam settings and enable steam play for all titles (which will let you use Proton with any game)

I've gone about 15+ times on my own, a lot more just to show friends. I still haven't bought mine, my thinkpad still works fine which is both good and bad since I really want a frame.work

Although it is true that this happens a lot with vr and non vr games, you always have the option to put yourself out of the situation. If you feel unconformable, leave the game. Of course, this advice doesn't fit every case, when online it always seems like you can't leave that call or that game cuz people will judge you but that should be less of a priority than your mental health ~

Kdenlive is great, I've been editing a lot of my videos on there and some shorts on YouTube. It's got a pretty unappealing UI but one you get to know and figure out where everything is you can get some content out :)

I can actually confirm this a little, when Elden Ring came out, it ran really poorly on Windows so rebooted to my Linux os and was getting a solid 15-25 more fps. It even made one of my friends install Linux just to get the performance boost.

Look, another failure. A dictionary is clearly bloated when you only want words that can be played in hangman! 3 letter words and bellow comprise way more memory overhead than required for a good challenging experience.

I second this, grayjay.app is great. It does break TOS but you don't have to login to the app, you can just add your subscriptions over and boom. It's not FOSS but it's not really too much of a problem since it's supported by an organisation focused on decentralizing the big tech (FUTO) so I think it's pretty safe to support using the app.

Omg it wasn't like this a while ago, I can't belive it! I'm going to reinstall it to play as soon as I can. Needing to reboot to windows just to play is the reason why I play Battlefield 1 a lot more. Thanks :)

EasyAntiCheat is the biggest problem on Linux, I have to boot to my windows install just to play The Finals and Hell Let Loose... It's such a shame cuz I think the developers can enable a setting to let it run on Linux but then that would mean they would actually have to support players who are playing on Linux and that's too much work for big corpos

Sir, it's your turn, there's nothing we can do.
I used the clear all unreads shortcut (`shift + esc`) and it doesn't go away... Edit: For anyone having this problem, I'm using GNOME desktop environment and clearing the notifications on the shell removes the bubble on the app icon. Thanks to @EmasXP for the hint.
