ArchWiki has a list: https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Discord#Third-party_clients
Ripcord is really unique and it's still my favorite third party client. Abaddon might be worth trying. Unfortunately, most other third party clients are wrappers.

As per rule 1 (All post titles must be “anime_irl”.), could you edit your title to "anime_irl"? I hope that's okay!

Ah yes I recognize this one. The art style is familiar. Thanks for the heads up.

It's not really the difficulty that bothers me. Randy gets boring when he decides not to do anything for an entire year. I prefer regular attacks/disasters with a bit of downtime in between.

I played through Randy once and I honestly like Cassandra more. I prefer the consistency of Cassandra over Randy's randomness.

I have a lot of abstract paintings in my room. They're not mine though. They're a collection of my parents who have nowhere else to hang them.

I don't remember which update it was but newer versions of Lemmy use significantly less database storage.

Great Teacher Onizuka is probably the closest thing to Golden Boy. If you want something more recent then maybe Prison School but I haven't really watched it honestly.

Sounds good! NVIDIA cards work well with Resolve on Linux.
hitagi 11 months ago • 100%
Are you using an AMD card? You might run into some trouble.
Also there's a codec suppport list here: https://documents.blackmagicdesign.com/SupportNotes/DaVinci_Resolve_18_Supported_Codec_List.pdf
It says that for Windows, only 8-bit H264 is support on free. For Linux, H264 is only supported on Studio. On MacOS, it's supported on both free and Studio hence why you have no problem there.

I went through the Sendgrid docs and your configuration seems to be correct. Just to make sure, your login is literally just "apikey" right? As indicated in the docs.
The rotating arrow means that the email is not sending out.
You can also try starttls
(port 587) if tls
and none
does not work.

You're welcome. I think there should be a better way to communicate a removed or banned community. Maybe like a "removed/banned community for X reason" sign instead of the "community_not_found" error page.

You need smtp_login
and smtp_password
there. Not sure what that is for Sendgrid however. It might be your accoint sername/email and the API key. Sendgrid probably has docs for their SMTP server.

I watched it pretty recently and even watched it twice in a single day. I still think it's a great film in terms of narrative and cinematography. The dialogue and editing (especially the baptism sequence) were also very effective.
I wouldn't trust any claim that "X movie is the greatest of all time" however. Movies are highly subjective and I wouldn't trust IMDb's top list to decide what movies are great. Most of their top movies are from Hollywood.
If you didn't like The Godfather, then that's actually okay. I know other people who didn't like it.
edit: By the way, if you're looking for another good Marlon Brando movie, check out Queimada. I think a lot of people here on Lemmy might like this film.

It might be pretty expensive to host something like that. Video encoding can get really expensive. I enjoyed RPAN's brief stay though.

The reasons for this can be traced back to a breaking api change on an external website
This probably explains why our local feed was flooded earlier today. It seems this community was flooded along with it too. I'm fine with the normal behavior of Shinobu honestly but less posts to concentrate discussions would be better.

I did say the complaint:
The mod tools are too basic and barebones
I also gave three ideas that are (1) manually done by mods/admins, (2) manually done by users, (3) automated by mods/admins.
On a small subreddit I moderate, we have automod automatically queue posts at a certain age. If your account is less than a day old, your post is hidden for public viewing while the mods manually approve it. We had to deal with a lot of spam bots and this was a good solution for us.
I believe the way the report feature works on Lemmy is that it sends out to the mods of the community and all the admins. It doesn't work quite well when I don't know the rules of a community. "No memes on mondays", is that really something I (as an admin) should be worried about? That's not my job.
I hope this clears things up.

The mod tools are too basic and barebones. I'd appreciate if we can get:
- Post approval system for new or low-karma accounts (it can be karma for local communities)
- Reporting system with multiple options (very hard to implement in the fediverse as everyone has different rules) so that the reports are sent to the proper channels. Admins shouldn't have to deal with community-specific rules (for example, "memes only on mondays").
- Automoderator (these might already exist? I have not tried them.)
I don't know if I should split this comment into three or not but they're some general suggestions to address the complaint of basic mod tools.
