burn it in a usb stick before you nuke it to install linux
This is very very important unless you have another windows computer around. Took me a whole day to figure out how to properly burn a windows install USB from linux. It isn't straightforward.

I walked into a Whole Foods for the first time a little while back for an Amazon return, I saw the $9 gallon of milk and walked right out.
Hopefully the price slashing is significant.

Oh! Tree nets! I'm going to look into that. I was thinking chicken wire but it would be a bit of a hassle to deal with imagined. The little bird is a little worrying but probably a rare thing, hopefully 😅

I have chickens too.. and no mice! 😄
I might just have to make it physically impossible for them to do their business near the veggies, might not be pretty though.
Our neighborhood has a cat problem which means my garden has a cat problem. I've read online that some people spread chilli powder on their soil to keep cats away but I'd really rather not do that. Hopefully it's a common enough problem that someone here has found a better solution. Help please!

I'd recommend giving the ASUS Merlin firmware a try if you feel up to it. It might work out better than stock firmware if that's what you're running.

Does the controller software have to run 24/7 or only when you need to make config changes?
I'm looking into the Omada ecosystem and wondering if the hardware controller is crucial or a convenience that can be deferred.

I've been meaning to standup another pihole on another pi for DNS redundancy. I have to research how to best keep the piholes in sync. So far I've found orbital-sync and gravity-sync.
erre 8 months ago • 100%
I use pihole for managing DNS and DHCP. It's run via docker and the compose file and dnsmasq configs are version controlled so if the Pi dies I can just bring it up on another Pi.
The Pi with pihole has a static IP to avoid some of the issues you described.
Starting to feel like a rebuild year for LAFC. 😬
Conflicted about this but not hating another Spurs legend at LAFC. Wonder when we'll hear what happens with Crepeau.

Feels like the old CWC but more managed and UCL champs getting a guaranteed final. Not sure how much I hate it 🤔 Concacaf and Conmebol champs always being matched up I both like and hate.
Well this is terrible news.
I love/hate this cup growing in participants. Less true champions of their leagues but also more footy. 🤷
Feels like the end of an era is coming for LAFC. Waiting to hear news about Vela.
I'm not familiar with credible sports journalists covering the MLS but I hope this is false. Two seasons/cups per year is the one feature I dislike about Liga MX.
The injuries are starting to pile on 😔
On the one hand, it could just be he's sore from losing. On the other hand, I agree that MLS needs to either reduce the number of games teams play or loosen the roster rules to allow more depth. At least, if they want MLS teams to perform consistently well in international matches. > Throughout all the competitions we’ve been in this year, for any teams that are going to this next year, I can tell you the rules and regulations of MLS roster are not ample enough and we are not equipped enough for all these competitions”, said Cherundolo to reporters after the final. > > We have done an incredible job to stay in all comps very late but our guys are depleted”, he continued, “our stadium officer is tired, everyone is tired. Maybe it’s too many games or maybe we don’t have enough players and I think moving forward to create a competitive advantage for MLS, I think the owners and commissioners need to sit down and come up with solutions. The status quo does not work and I can tell you that is the opinion of other coaches as well.
Well this is a bummer. I'll have a few more months with my existing cities I guess.
Watermelon is their fruit of preference 😄
First rain in a while around here. I noticed the ash tree in my backyard was oozing bubbles, had never seen that before. It turns out, it's a thing! https://bygl.osu.edu/node/1595
Messi and Miami are going to be put to test and Nashville faces a strong Monterey. Who makes it through to the final??
Bummed to see LAFC out but the team looks to be in good shape for the league. Lots of fun matches today 🍿 Image from https://nitter.net/LeaguesCup/status/1690233625948594177#m
Hard to believe this transfer saga is finally over. Looking forward to seeing Kane in the UCL.
A couple MLS surprises led to this. I'll be here rooting for a Miami vs. LAFC final 😏 Image source: https://twitter.com/LeaguesCup/status/1689143912684777473

Recap of the developer diary and preview video release this week. Pretty excited to have so much space to build on console >_<
Not a lot of meat in the article except for the below > While Apple did not release specific numbers, in a statement, Apple spokesperson Tom Neumayr explained that the week of July 19th–26th had “the 3 most-watched matches ever on MLS Season Pass, with viewers in almost 100 countries and regions around the world. And the fans for those matches were roughly split between the MLS Season Pass English and Spanish language broadcasts.” It's gonna be interesting to see if League's Cup and Messi and can continue to capture people's attention and lead to meaningful growth.
Good for him, hopefully improves on a new team.

A little eye-opening to read about the issues experienced. Glad I wasn't an early adopter in this case.
Specifically with regards to checks you've written that are cashed months later, do you keep it in YNAB with the date it was written.. or move it to the day it was cashed?

More Kane than Spurs but figured some might like it.
