Thunder ain't bad either. really tough for me to choose between Jerboa, Liftoff, Thunder and Voyager. Using all of em xD

Tried using on both. Same problem
I was browsing [!pop_os@lemmy.world](https://lemmy.world/c/pop_os) without sign in, was able to see new posts, the moment I logged in, All I could see was posts older than 10 days in the same community ( tried sorting but no luck ) ## Edit: Changing the language in settings from "Undetermined" to "English" fixed it for me.

Why YSK: Did you know that throughout history, there have been cases where animals were actually charged with criminal acts? It's pretty surprising, right? These stories give us a unique glimpse into how societies have dealt with the actions of animals and how the legal system has responded. By learning about these cases, we can see how our attitudes towards animals and ideas of justice have evolved over time.

Just a random thought flashed through my mind that once Cliff and David were done with the space mission, back on the earth how hard it would have been for Cliff to prove David guilty?

We should be united in our thinking and ready to protect our platform.
cross-posted from: https://kbin.social/m/kbinMeta/t/71764 > The amount of apps being developed for iOS / Android is getting really crazy now and new apps keep popping up every day. Artemis is specifically designed to work with kbin, not sure if or when any of the other ones will go in that direction or become interoperable as there are some challenges with the kbin API at the moment. Having said that, a new API is in the works ([https://codeberg.org/Kbin/kbin-core/pulls/357](https://codeberg.org/Kbin/kbin-core/pulls/357)) so things should get better with time. Some of the apps are in very early stage of development so it may happen that they adjust OS availability and platform support.

interesting, didnt know about Connect, will check out!
Hi Lemmyfolks, I'm currently using the Jerboa client for Lemmy. I'm curious to know what other 3rd party clients people are using?
Puzzlehead 1 year ago • 100%
interesting my take on that is :
"In the Black Mirror universe, Netflix is a major streaming service, but it is also seen as being somewhat generic and uninspired. Streamberry, on the other hand, is a newer streaming service that is seen as being more edgy and original.
By having Stuart mention that Netflix documentary, Waltonville Claw it sounds like the writers taking a dig at the fact that Netflix is often seen as being a home for bland and forgettable true crime documentaries and might be suggesting that Streamberry is a better place for more original and creative content.
Not to miss the fact that Davis's documentary eventually streams on Streamberry is also significant. Also a potential hint that Streamberry is a more successful streaming service than Netflix, and that produces quality content "

i feel this way the fragmentation that would occur in the future anyways or might create doubts for the new or existing users whether which instance is better for xyz community (even knowing the fact they can still federate) can be reduced to a fair extent.
Puzzlehead 1 year ago • 100%
yes but I'm talking more of the similar unique named communities, like music on lemmy.world , music on lemmy.ml , kbin.social or any other possible instance lemmy.world is able to federate with can let us see all under one tab kinda thing

I think its the easiest plot hole but then you can see David standing outside the theatre clearly saying that survival of of human body and life is really central to the mission.
and then having replicas only in space would have its consequences as well, the storyline portrays the use of this technology in its early days and obviously that's why the concept looks rudimentary and personally I think that was spot on!

thanks!

that paparazzi one, yes the message was clear but for someone who's watched Black Mirror it definitely felt off. As I said, this season has gone more towards a thought-provoking approach that aims to spark conversations about the justifications and implications of the messages being presented rather being straightforward on future and tech this time.

like use of the metaphors, esp in Mazey Day and Demon 79. Edit: I have edited the post, metaphor is the better word

I was expecting the same realistic, grounded, futuristic stories as in previous seasons, but this time, the show took a more metaphoric approach. I so wanna share my thoughts but being mindful of the spoilers as of now esp for the ones using mobile app lol. > > But honestly I did enjoy. Full credits for the soundtracks choice. yes but read somewhere that it doesn't work well for the mobile app users, will have to check that again (since i deleted the app after some hours, I find it too slow). But yes that pretty much looks the savior for now

So there's nothing like hosted instances are using resources, and that can vary?
Day 2 here, and I can see the growth already. Personally I really like the notion of how its gonna shape up in the future but at the same time I really feel for the average user as of now its too complex to understand the working and how the cross servers thing is working. I mean yes still early days, UI will improve further leading to a better UX but the core mechanism yet is little tough to get along. For instance, still unclear if I made the right choice by signing up on lemmydotworld why not lemmydotml , beehaw etc.... and where does this stop? like in the coming times i it would be like a thousands of servers lemmy.this lemmy.that lemmy.etc or anything.anything. That's soo confusing for someone who just wanna join a server. Would be interesting to see how "signup anywhere, its the same thing" evolves.
