I personally wouldn't use greywater for plants since it's a mixture or oils, skin, hair, and soap/shampoo. Not without treating and filtering it beforehand. Greywater always smells far more foul than blackwater in my experience.

Yeah, this is a weird hill for op to die on. I'm no fan of cars, but riding a bike in a tux or dress sounds like a recipe for disaster.

It's a symptom of our modern society and the information age we live in. People don't have the time to sit and enjoy a long video, they need a 5 second one to keep their attention.

This research paper explains it far better than I can.

I know a couple people who do this and their texts always seem far more dramatic and loaded than they mean.

"Hey, thanks for doing x” - me

    " You're welcome..." - them

    Uh oh - me internally.

Yup, exactly. Or it's particularly windy that day, or a different route has more hills than usual. The range extending impact is huge, it allows a lot more options on where I can go with my ebike. I can also do small shopping trips with my ebike and not worry about being bogged down (yes, possible without power but it makes it more appealing day to day with power).

Another option is to turn the water off in between steps if you don't already. So turn it off when you lather up, wash your hair, etc and only use water to rinse off after each step. It helps reduce how much you use by only having the water on for a short time overall. With a lot of showerhead attachments you can turn the water off right there so you don't have to fiddle with the temperature controls every time.

Yup, let them get used to each other's smells and slowly introduce them to each other. You can't rush this step, depending on the cats it can take a week or so.

If only we wasted less money. Every item procured is late and costs more than anticipated.

Look at the new AOPs that Irving is fumbling though making. They're delivered with massive deficiencies, can't do half of what was on the contract, and somehow are out of warranty so Irving won't pay for the repairs? Seems reasonable.

The Borderlands (2013) is a great found footage horror film with a unique twist on the genre. The ending was particularly horrifying to watch, and I don't normally find horror films scary.

While a great movie, I wouldn't necessarily call it a horror. The Thing is a suspense movie based on mistrust and paranoia, but I wouldn't call it scary.

What is a gender neutral replacement for man, guys, buddy, etc?

So I've realized that in conversations I'll use traditional terms for men as general terms for all genders, both singularly and for groups. I always mean it well, but I've been thinking that it's not as inclusive to women/trans people. For example I would say: "What's up guys?" "How's it going man?" "Good job, my dude!” etc. Replacing these terms with person, people, etc sounds awkward. Y'all works but sounds very southern US (nowhere near where I am located) so it sounds out of place. So what are some better options? Edit: thanks for all the answers peoples, I appreciate the honest ones and some of the funny ones. The simplest approach is to just drop the usage of guys, man, etc. Folks for groups and mate for singular appeal to me when I do want to add one in between friends.

    Splitwise alternative

I'm looking for a simple alternative to Splitwise to self host. Currently my partner and I use it to keep track of monthly expenses to ensure there is roughly even spending between us. Doesn't have to be complex, in fact the simpler the better as my partner prefers simple, ready to use tech. It would only need to be accessed locally as we update expenses once or twice a month, and would prefer FOSS to have control over our data. I thought of having a Spreadsheet that is synced using syncthing between my computer and her phone. This seems simple on my end, but I worry that it would be more complicated for my partner as they primarily would use this on their iphone. Currently on splitwise you can add expenses with only a couple button presses. Thanks in advance.

Tape wear always on heel of the blade.

Like the title says the tape on my stick always wears away first on the heel. Does this mean I need a stick with a different angled blade? Or am I not getting low enough? For reference I'm 198 cm (6'5") and have to add extenders to my stick to make them fit.
