I could be entirely wrong about this but isn't it in-universe lore that Elves don't see the curvature of the world and that's how they can see so far?

That's what I'm hoping for as well. The Switch is a great console and the only thing it really needs is upgraded hardware.

I don't know how relevant this is to you but I was looking at getting a Boox since it would easily let me read my Kindle and Kobo books on a single device without any hassle. However, it achieves this by running their apps so the books are segregated. There's no one library with all your books. Your Kindle books are only on the Kindle app, your Kobo books are only on the Kobo app, your library books are only on the Libby app.
It sounded really tedious to have to flip between a bunch of different apps to track all my books so I decided to just stick with Kobo.

Her quote never really felt that outrageous. She wasn't even calling all Trump supporters "deplorable". Here's her quote
“You know, to just be grossly generalistic, you could put half of Trump’s supporters into what I call the basket of deplorables. Right?” Clinton said. “The racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamaphobic—you name it. And unfortunately there are people like that. And he has lifted them up.” She said the other half of Trump’s supporters “feel that the government has let them down” and are “desperate for change.” “Those are people we have to understand and empathize with as well,” she said.

If I was a corrupt Russian general, embezzling funds meant for nuclear deterrence upkeep would be a pretty safe bet since they are the weapons least likely to ever be used and thus least likely to be found out.

I agree although I paused a bit at "is still". I think it's because it was written left to right but at that point I was trying to read it right to left.
If the is was right aligned there it would have worked perfectly.

I bought a SteamDeck as a way to test and see what works and what doesn't on Linux. So far all my games have run with no issues.
I'm likely going to be posting and searching through a lot of Linux forums as Win10 gets closer to EOL.

Out of curiosity, what do you use to transfer files between computers?
I ordered a mystery box from Adagio which finally came in and was surprised at what came in. I was expecting a collection of single cup samples but instead I got several of the larger bags that can make multiple cups each. This box contained: - April in Paris - .8oz - Blueberry Peach Gobbler Green - .5oz - Double Ginger Herbal - .8oz - Lemon Meringue Green - .5oz - Zodiac - aries tea - Single - Black Jasmine Song - Single - Tie Kuan Yin Black - .4oz Since they change what they put in the mystery box each month, I might just see how to setup a monthly auto-purchase.

When I think about what I would do if I suddenly found myself transported to another world, the last thing I would be doing is looking for a job as a mercenary. As stupid as a lot of the plot is, I really like Striving for a Luxury Liner simply because the MC recognizes that he's not cut out to be an adventurer and becomes a merchant instead.
The only isekai I've read that properly utilized the isekai genre was Release that Witch since the MC's "cheat" is his knowledge of mechanical engineering. He kicks off his own little industrial revolution to defend his territory.
DharkStare 5 months ago • 100%
My main critique of the genre is how lazy it's done. There's nothing wrong with having the MC reincarnated, transported, or made overpowered. One Punch Man has a massively overpowered MC but it's still really good. The problem is that they're all low effort cookie cutter stories that are just checking items off a list.
They're also fairly unrealistic. "Gasp...is this that isekai thing I've been reading about? I guess I'll go join the Adventurer Guild and get a super dangerous job killing monsters despite the fact that I've never been in a dangerous situation before."
There's no way all these random people will just calmly accept finding themselves in another world with no freaking out or depression setting in first.

I didn't realize there would be sex scenes in it. Glad to know before I started watching. I miss the days when it was pretty safe to watch anything. I wish all these producers would realize that some people have families and that we don't need sex scenes and nudity in everything.

Majora's Mask is the best Zelda game. However, Wind Waker is my favorite Zelda game. The setting, art style, and musical score all combined perfectly to make a game that was both really fun and relaxing. No Zelda game since has ever matched the feeling of sailing to the Great Sea soundtrack.

Wow. I didn't realize at first that this picture already did the fact swap. I was mentally swapping their heads before I realized.
I picked up some new teas from a shop while on vacation and this one was pretty good. I like teas with lavender in them but I find that it's sometimes overpowering. This one had the lavender taste without it overwhelming the other flavors. Edit: I tried to upload a picture but it wouldn't let me so I used a link to the one of the pictures on the site.

I've gone from getting tea bags at the grocery store to tea bags ordered online and just started getting loose leaf tea. I've been buying the bags and the loose tea from Stash but I was wondering where all of you get your tea.
I just tried this tea and it was very good. I'm not a big fan of cherries but I have been drinking it almost every day and like it more than the Cinnamon Black Tea I bought at the same time.
