He only show up like once or twice a season.
I like him, but I can see why people wouldn't.

This 100℅ I even bought a ps4 to play it. It was a really dull game and the character movement felt clunky. I finished it too, but I do not care to play it again.
Ff8 was dope though.

To be fair, it was a really fun game. They did a great job with it. In fact, I've been itching to play it again.

I played it at launch and don't think in had a single crash. Possibly 1, but I can't remember.
I had at most 2 bugs where I needed to restart the game.
I'm sure things have only gotten better.

Two years in jail or fight in a war and possibly get killed/maimed/traumatized.
I think I’m going to choose jail.
But if I were in Ukraine, then I’d fight. I guess it depends on the circumstance.

My desktop gpu is an rx470 4gb.
It’s only slightly more powerful than the steamdeck. I’ve been waiting for the day when modern gaming can comfortably be done on an igpu.
I think we are basically there now.

Someone said that valve does not want to upgrade the Steamdecks cpu regularly that way it can act as a baseline for games to target.
I kind of like this approach. I think so many devs focus on making everything bleeding edge when most of us would be happy playing with low settings.
Maybe the steamdeck will lead to further optimizations to these games down the line and maybe games that are early in development will try to target the steamdeck for the minimum spec.
Starfield and bg3 were too far along in development when steamdeck game out for them to optimize for it.
I’ll be happy to see how it runs though.

So you like $200-150 for a working system. Then the steam deck is like hey im $400 and way more capable.

Thanks for the recommendation. I guess I do not mind running stock Android, but I would prefer something less bloated. It looks like the s9 is about $70 here, but the s10 is $150-200. Why would that one be so much more expensive?
worfamerryman 1 year ago • 100%
I’m really just looking to spend around $100 on an android.
Where I live the 4a is like $140 used.
I was hoping that GrapheneOS would have longer security updates for the phones.
Maybe you would not know, but do you have any android models you would recommend? I’ll mostly just use it for streaming and a few apps that are not in the US App Store.

Once you get there, you can eat a bit better. It’s just getting there that’s tough.

I listed to a handful, and they don’t remember a surprising amount of stuff.
Also the actor who played Harry Kim, kinda comes off as a diva. Like he was complaining that the boots he had to wear were worn by another actor before him.
Then he stopped caring when he realized that they were worn by Data. I kinda forget exactly what else.
There were some interesting bits of info, but I can’t say if it’s new. It was new to me. But I only got into trek after the 09 movie.
It seems that every tv show has a podcast now, and that kinda turned me off to the entire concept of rewatch podcasts. It’s done for money instead of passion, so I may be a bit biased against it.

People always wonder why we don’t want to live in America. Although they kind of stopped asking as much the past few years.

It’s what I have to remind people when they are trying to change their diet to get in shape and lose weight.
I tell them, your not eating for enjoyment, your eating to fuel your body.
I was very fit, but I was eating like canned tuna and Greek yogurt, not mixed but one after another. That’s not a delicious lunch, but it was just the nutrition that was needed.

So, I’ve been using an Oppo f7 as I live between two counties and need apps that are exclusive to one country or another.
It’s dumb, but that’s how it is.
Anyway, the oppo f7 is kind of dated and the touch screen is hyper sensitive. I’m only really watching Disney plus on it or occasionally using it for Lemmy or mastodon.
I was thinking about getting a google pixel used for this purpose and putting GrapheneOS on there. I don’t want to spend a lot though. So, how far back would you go? Is a 4a going to be too old and run down?

This was an interesting read. When I go to the grocery, most fruit has a sign that shows which country it comes from. A lot of stuff is coming from China.
I have noticed that the peso is weakening vs the dollar. Only slightly, but it might be the start of things.
I’ve been really wanting to get a steamdeck. I’ve been playing a lot on my modded switch, but there is a lot I want to play that is not available on the switch. Does anyone have both systems and still use the switch? I imagine I can just dump my games and emulate them on the Steamdeck. I don’t do anything online, so I can’t imagine I’ll miss out on anything. Im an experienced Linux gamer, so im not worried about the Linux side of things.
I played this game back when it released on Gamecube. I honestly have almost 0 memories of this game. I only kinda sorta remember a specific room or two and not even well enough to really explain them. I am not sure why I do not remember it very well. I remember Majora's mask much better and I had only played that once at launch as well. At this point, I have finished the first dungeon and it was pretty easy. I wonder if this game is just an easier game then modern zelda titles. Although, it seems like it is easier than Ocarina. At least so far. The enemies feel meatier. Like, they take more damage and don't bounce around as easily. I am not enjoying it as much as I thought i would, but I am going to stick with it. I kinda want to play through the 3d zelda games again. I keep trying Majora's mask and then putting it down before I even leave the starting town. I am playing on a PC, but I'd much rather use a steam deck to play as I do not often sit at my PC unless I am working.
I first got into trek with the 09 movie. It was a lot better than I expected and a good friend of mine is huge into Trek. I decided to give the tv series a try. After being a little unsure what to watch I started with ENT. I figured it’s my first time watching trek and it’s their first time exploring and I liked that parallel. I’ve recently rewatched this series and liked it a whole lot more. This series is much better after having seen at least TNG, DS9 or VOY. My watch order, not including new Trek was, ENT > TNG > VOY > DS9 > TOS > TAS > PRO > TOS movies. I watched all the other new trek stuff as it came out and watched the TNG movies a few months back. By far, the TOS movies were the hardest to enjoy. The 2, 3, and 4 movies were decent, but 5 was really bad. TOS series was also a little hard to get through. I could only watch a few episodes at a time. Unlike PRO which I watched in a day. It’s hard to pick a beat or favorite series, but if you were going to watch one I think I’d easily recommend TNG. It’s such a great show and has such a great cast. I’m loving all the new trek stuff as well. I’m really surprised at how good PRO was. And SNW has been a masterpiece. I’m rewatching DS9 now and I’m at the start of season 3. Wow, this show has so many good episodes just one after another.
So the ending of Prod was basically the same as Pic. It’s a little annoying to basically see the same plot in two shows that aired like a year apart. Did they ever comment on how similar the endings were?
I just watched this episode the other night and Kirk seems to be annoyed with Sulu, then Spock is like 990.07 light years, not 1000 please be more accurate. It felt off for those characters. But maybe it was just late when I watched itS. What do you think?
I teach English and I need the Reach Higher G4A level and higher. There used to be a store online, but they were banned. I guess they didn’t sell a legit copy of the book. Can anyone recommend some places where I can search for them or even buy them? I’m not in the US.
I am trying to find a series of text books that can be used to teach English. I don't mind paying for them, but I can't find a way to purchase them in my country. The series I am looking for is Reach Higher, I specifically need the Reach G4A level and higher. If anyone has any advise on where/how to get/buy them, please send me a message.
I see Apollo and I’m not sure if I want to delete it. I’m not sure why. I guess I’m kinda hoping there is some update to it that adds some functionality, but I guess that’s not really in the cards. Anyone else not deleting their third party app for a reason?
It seems that I am less and less interested in new games and am happier playing older games on emulators. I still game a decent amount, but I don’t even watch gaming news for new stuff. I loved Skyrim, but I am not even interested in reading about starfield. It just seems that it’s going to be an extremely involved game. But at the same time I’d have no problem playing through Skyrim again and to be fair I just played through tears of the kingdom. Anyone else have this problem as they are getting older? I’m in my mid 30s btw.
This game was my first jrpg as a kid. Well after Mario rpg and Pokémon. But I guess it always classified it different as it was a more serious game. I was really young so it’s cool to play it now and better understand the story. But I did not remember the battles being so long. It seems that every encounter so far has been a really long experience. I just graduated seed training, so not to far into the remake. Im not worried about spoilers as I’ve played through this game when it was new, and watched a speed run of it a few years ago.
My wife just got into Tetris and wants to play together. I have been bragging to her about how good I am at Tetris and now she wants to play together We would like to play side by side on the TV, but we do not want any of that stuff where if person A does well, then person B gets random blocks. Does something like this exist? We could play on PC or on Switch.
I fail to see the purpose of a MacPro over a Mac Studio. I know it has pci slots, but can someone tell me how they will realistically be used? Used in a way that can't be done with thunderbolt. The pricing seems absurd compared to a Mac Studio.
I lived Red and Blue as a kid. I think I played Gold on an emulator back in the day. I really loved the challenge I had playing Red as a kid. I liked getting through an area with just a few hp left. I never got hardcore into the newer games and have been so disappointed with how easy and hand holding the newer games have been. I would like to play a romhack. Can someone make a recommendation for me?
I have only played with it for a few minutes as I am about to start work. But it seems really great so far. I need to look into the control scheme to learn some of the controls, but it was not difficult to figure out. I think it also supports controllers as well, I will likely play it that way at some point.
It looks like they forgot to finish their homework and submitted it hoping no one would notice, but it really stick out to me.

I am playing Pokemon Violet at the moment and it is a total bore. I have played the game so many times and I just want to run around catch Pokemon and battle. I do not need another tutorial about what a Pokemon center is. Or a tutorial to tell me that I need to use a Pokeball to catch a Pokemon. Can we get a "I've played this game 100 times" mode where it just saves the tutorials and lets us play the game?
I just wanted to thank you for your work on this app. iOS needs an app to access Lemmy. This is a great time for the app due to Apollo shutting down. I believe that your work on this app will greatly increase the number of people who join the fediverse.
Yes, there are basically no reasons to not move to USB-C. Up until this point, I have been saying that it is a matter of convenience. But it is also economical. The other day, my wife and I were out and planned to get lunch and go back home. We had outdoor seating and it was a beautiful day, so she decided to stay and work. She did not have her lightning headphones and asked me how much a cheap pair would cost. Well, since it is lightning it would be about 3x as much as a USB-C pair. I was so close to just pulling the trigger on an iPhone 13 since my iPhone XR is constantly freezing and has terrible battery life. This instance reaffirmed my decision to wait for a USB-C model iPhone. If the iPhone 15 for some reason does not have USB-C or it is wildly expensive, I am just going to get an iPhone 13 and use that until is no longer works.
I just played through Katamari 2 on the switch, but I played it way back on PS2. I always like Katamari 1 better. Katamari 2 tried a lot of new things, like keeping the katamari on fire by continuously rolling things up, or trying to roll it to a specific size. None of them were bad, but they were not particularly fun. Most importantly, the music from Katamari 1 is so much better. Those songs have been ingrained in my brain since I was a child. I still um/sing them around the house. After finishing Katamari 2, I booted up Katamari 1 and immediately it felt like the movement was a bit quicker. I think the next Katamari release was on the 360. I am not sure if that was the final release. I hope we get a remaster of it as I would like to see how it changed due to the increased power of that console generation.
**Very Early Game Spoilers** I am playing Grandia 1 for the first time on the Switch and it hit me so hard when Justin moved away. For reference, I moved to another country when I was 30 and I have not returned to my home country since. The plan was to come back at some point, but I have built a life here and have been married to a local. My parents came out to visit recently and I talk to them a few times week, so it's not like it is some super sad story, but it was a tough part of the game to work through. I related to Justin so much and have been drawn in to this game so much due to the characters. I am still really early in this game. I just made it across the sea and look forward to becoming an adventurer. One thing that I find interesting about this game is that the style of the game and menus are like a mix of PS1 and SNES graphics. I guess this was an early PS1 game.
