Hey folks. I've run a Plex instance on my home server for friends and family for a while now. I recently discovered how easy it was to use Stremio + Torrentio + Debrid, but all my users are already used to Plex, and I like to use the Plex app to download media to my phone before I fly somewhere on vacation. The [plex_debrid](https://github.com/itsToggle/plex_debrid) project made me wonder how easy it could be to use Plex with Debrid. Over the last few months I've been putting together [**Coaxist**](https://github.com/mplewis/coaxist), a **single Docker container** with Plex, Overseerr, Rclone, and Debrid support. Features include: * **Support for multiple Media Profiles:** e.g. grab 4K DV copies for home viewing, and 1080p copies for maximum compatibility * **It's just Plex:** use the Plex apps, share with other users, download for offline viewing * Plex watchlist and Overseerr request integration, out of the box – no copying API keys around * "Instant" downloads with Debrid caching support * Automatically refresh your Debrid files before they expire It's easy to get started: start the container, set your Debrid credentials and media profiles in the config, and sign into Plex and Overseerr. The Connector searches Torrentio for your requests and sends the files to Debrid, while Rclone mounts the media locally for Plex to serve. This project is still in early stages – expect many breaking changes – but if you're brave, and have a Linux, Unraid, or NAS machine that can run Docker containers, I'd love for you to try this out and let me know what you think.

On my last visit to Japan, I brought home a cheap pair of reusable plastic chopsticks. The hard case they came with lets me toss them into my bag without worrying about them breaking, and usually I wrap a handkerchief or cloth napkin around the case. I use these chopsticks more often than I would have expected. I used to be a fork person, but I've converted – once I got used to using them, chopsticks turned out to work better for the things I'd otherwise eat with a fork. Today I ate some salad on the plane that I brought with me to the airport, instead of spending $8 on wilted lettuce. Ine is a scenic fishing village of around 2,000 people which sits on a quiet south-facing bay. Spend some time staying in a boathouse right on the water and take in the tranquil ocean air.

What were your favorite little spots that weren't horribly touristy that you hope other people get to see? A couple of mine are: * Shimokitazawa - cute shopping district not far from Tokyo * Miyajima Island - beautiful island with tame deer, easy mountain hikes, and lovely temples, off the coast of Hiroshima via ferry * Kamakura - former capital of Japan with lots of temples, a historic electric railway that still runs antique passenger cars, and surfing at the beach. 1.5 hours south of Tokyo.

I try to stay minimal in terms of volume, and for me, that means ditching most redunancies when traveling with one bag. I replace the electric shaver with a simple disposable razor, and I only pack one [CeraVe SPF face lotion](https://amzn.to/44LvgYV) that I use for my hands if I need it. For doing laundry in the sink, I use a cut-down bar of [Zote pink soap](https://amzn.to/44Z7Yi0) in the [Matador dry-thru soap bag](https://amzn.to/44KDh07). For my dry goods, I use this [Sea to Summit hanging toiletry bag](https://amzn.to/3OAeOF5) which I bought for ultralight camping. This thing is super light and has plenty of great organization for being so tiny. For the 1 quart liquids bag required for airline travel, I recently upgraded from a ziploc bag to [this generic, durable, clear-sided plastic bag](https://amzn.to/43ProVs) with a zipper and handle. I attach a small carabiner and clip the handle to the hanging bag if I don't have space by the sink. What are your favorite toiletry tips?
