I haven't played with it. However, I can say it is based on Fedora which is a good distro and Glorious Egg roll himself, besides working at Red Hat, is the creator of the Glorious Egg Roll version of the Proton compatibility layer.

Edit: stupid button, hit before I was finished. Besides the GE proton version, he does a lot of other enhancements to make Nobara more gamer friendly so it should be a relatively good distro to use because he knows the system better than most average Linux users and so provides the enhancements out of the box for gamers that want to game.

If you know what you are doing, the enhancements can be added to Fedora easily. But if you just want to setup and play immediately, Nobara is the way to go.

Yiffstar, the original and best site for yiffstories is now sofurry.

Though most of the original stories from the yiffstar days never made their way onto sofurry. You can still find them on archive.org though.

Besides Blender, the only other software I could find that can handle jewelry designing would be LibreCAD.

But it only works in 2D. It does offer an isometric view function though so it could still work out if he wants to design jewelry.

Personally I do believe we as a community need to reject the puritan idea in all it's forms.

If anyone is being called out, it could be viewed as online harassment and it should be documented and reported to website administration (if on central network social media like Facebook, deaddit, and dead bird site.)

If you are on any decentralized social media and they are calling you out on your instance, document their attacks and report them to the instance administrator. If that instance administrator will not do anything, leave that instance for a better instance like Yiffit.net if on Lemmy or packmates.org if on Mastodon.

What they propose over the community is censorship. It is not a valid reason. It is a means of control. If we give in to their demands on this, they will demand another thing be censored and we will have to give in to appease them. Then another, and another, and another till the fandom itself is either dead or a husk of it's former self because it censored everything out of it on the clean web and drove everyone that was a part of it either into seclusion and never talking about furry fandom or really limiting it down to encrypted matrix chatrooms and onion links on the dark web because puritans destroyed what we had on the clear web.

We should be allowed to freely think and have our own ideas and depict what we want in media we either make ourselves or commission from artists. We shouldn't be limited by other peoples narrow ideas, views, and beliefs. Whether they are children or adults.

And we need to stand up to that. It should be made fully clear that they are not welcomed within the fandom if they want to force us to cowtow to their demands of censorship.

They need to accept the fandom for what it is. Otherwise they need to leave the fandom.

Well the pawstar website says it is butterscotch colour using wild wolf fur (a synthetic fur they custom made that involves black highlighting through out to give it a more realistic fur pattern.)

The only times I have seen this pattern accomplished, and accomplished well is from artists that do a realistic style or a hybrid of toon/anime/realistic. Good examples are artists like Dark Natasha (realistic) or Kacey Miyagami (hybrid).

Commissioning them is usually hard + expensive.

It is probably better to simplify the color to it's base colour, butterscotch, for simplicity sake.

I don't think their is anything wrong with the website from an upload I just did. Images are uploading without a problem from the website. Try and find another image to test with and see if it can upload.

If the other image uploads, it means their could be something wrong with that PNG itself.

Are you using the website or an app? If an app, which one and what OS? IOS or Android?

Check to make sure the file size is below 5mb. Last time I talked with @Wander on this, it was sorta agreed 5mb was a good file size to accept since most images out their are below that size.

Jpg and png files will upload just fine.

Gifs will upload but they get converted to an MP4. I'm not sure about the exact file size with it exactly it probably is at that same standard to require the gif be below 5mb.

Phill Kline was not disbarred, he had an indefinite suspension of his Kansas law license. Meaning he cannot practice law for 3 years.

In Friday’s order, the court rejected the recommendation of the state’s disciplinary administrator for attorneys, who had sought Kline’s disbarment. It also ruled that Kline did not violate four other rules that a state disciplinary panel had previously found he had.

Since that article was published in 2020, Kline will be eligible to reinstate his Kansas law licence in November of this year.

Personally, I feel the episode was subpar. Even when compared to the worst episodes of Comedy Central's run of the show. That run was rife with Meta humor.

This episode just felt beneath even those IMO. It doesn't help that it seemed like their was only one good joke that landed which was a 20th century version of binging. The rest fell flat or just gave a slight chuckle.

Overall for me, it was not a good start, but here is hoping the next episodes are better.

Opinion: I personally have no problems with AI art. The methods AI uses to draw are almost verbatim the same techniques humans have used for centuries to learn the techniques or even copy the techniques of the masters that came before them. The difference is that the AI can learn at a much quicker pace due to the models it has to work from.

I have no problems with this. Is AI perfect? Absolutely not. It still requires, besides a prompt, human intervention (AKA inpainting) to fix the flaws of the piece the AI has created to give it the perfection cannot due the first time. A flaw most artists also suffer from (some fix, some don't.)

The good thing about AI art is that it isn't copyrightable. As proven with the AI comic Zarya of the Dawn.

AI's are not humans. Meaning the works they create are in the public domain. And companies that want to use it, will not care enough to even pay someone to perform the inpainting needed to fix the extra limbs flaw that AI produces now. So such games like bloodlines, which uses AI and does not do inpainting, can easily be spotted and avoided because you can easily spot the flaws of AI art in it.

Now I do feel their is the problem that people could try and pass AI art as an artists actual work. Which is a legitimate concern. But AI companies like Stability AI or individuals building their own AI software could easily resolve this, by including in the software a watermark that is placed in the bottom right or top right corner and shows either the company logo and generated "DD/MM/YYYY" or clearly states "AI generated art, Generated on DD/MM/YYYY"

This way it can easily help separate the fakes from originals. Only way for anyone to fake an AI work as an original after this is to manually go in and edit out the watermark. Which a more talented individual can do, but why bother if they got the talent to remove it?

On the point of AI writing, I don't think anyone has much to actually fear. AI writing is still pretty bad even by modern and ancient author standards. The wiriting can sound convincingly human, but their is still nuance in what is written by humans that AI still cannot capture and easy to spot. Emotions are a good example of this. What AI writes sounds wooden and stilted and when it tries to include something like a joke, it falls flat. This is because it doesn't understand what makes a joke funny. It can copy something someone else has written that is funny but when it attempts to create something in that style and keep the humor, it doesn't work because again, AI does not understand this.

AI music is another thing, after having listened to AI neco arc, Freddie Mercury, Frank Sinatra, and Johnny Cash, the only two AI even got anywhere close to good was Cash and Sinatra.

But then the people who generated those carefully selected titles that would work well with the voice models they had on hand. And probably did extra work to perfect and make Cash and Sinatra's performance better.

Where as Mercury and Neco Arc suffer from AI with a very limited models and their is garbling within the audio leaving some lyrics unintelligible. And Freddie in particular has moments where it sounds like him then moments where it sounds like someone playing around in audacity to make the original singer mimic Mercury.

Should AI Art be allowed in furry spaces?: Yes it should. However I do believe it must be limited down to a single Community or thread if this were an image board, fully dedicated to AI imagery. None of the AI art should leak out into the other community or threads.

This way it doesn't overflow to all the other communities or threads dedicated to work created by actual artists.

Use cases: the actual AI creating generated art? Not so much. The inpainting tool however? I feel that is a game changer for lazy artists. It can be used to fix certain flaws that exist in their own works. Like say they drew a left foot, but meant to draw a right foot, the inpainting tool and with a model built around their own art style, can be used to allow AI to redraw the foot correctly. Fixing the artists actual mistake in the piece.

Long-term impact?: Their won't be much of a long term impact. AI is nice right now, but among furries, we are going to use and abuse it to the point we will burn ourselves out on it. It will drive many back to having greater appreciation for actual art made by real artists and not a machine. Simply because the machine has oversaturated the fandom with it's knock off art.

People have created knock off artwork for years that mimic a masters style. But people don't want art that mimics a masters style. They want an original piece from a well known artist or atleast a print of a well known artists work.

I have a simple shoe analogy that sums this up quite well "People want Nike Jordans, not Mike Jongdonz"

Granted, I don't know how popular Jordan's are in Europe or the UK, I know in the US they are quite expensive quality basketball shoes, and if never worn, retain their value. And prices for them simply go up because they are collectable.

Whereas if you have a knock off like Mike Jongdonz, they are not as well made, they contain no value and are simply their to rip off the real brand. Not to mention you'll be thoroughly embarrassed when people point out what you got are not real Jordans.

The same will be true of furry artists and AI art. Furry artists are the real deal and AI is the cheap knock off.

The knock off can be neat and interesting, but it will never compare to the real deal.

This is not a violation of their constitutional rights though... This is just a ban on copies of certain books from being in the school library. They want the bible included in that.

This is not saying a student who owns their own private copy of say, the bible, cannot bring their own copy to school and read it. Is only banning the library from carrying a copy.

No one's constitutional rights are being violated.

And it's been almost 20 years since I was in a US public school, but as I understood it back then, the public schools could not carry copies of the bible even if they wanted too.

I use to regularly use it when it first started. It's not as bad as you make it out to be. It was actually very well moderated and had serious discussion where both sides could talk, ask questions, and explain things to one another. The more trollish comments like "Furries Bad", or "kill all furries" were generally removed immediately.

Anti-furries could ask the questions they normally would never have asked when in an anti-fur circle jerk and furries could explain things about the fandom or LGBTQ stuff within the fandom in general to Anti-furs. And even bring up controversial topics like the difference between feral and zoophilia.why do furries have fursona's, why do furries act as weird as they do?

And Furries could ask the serious questions they never want to ask Anti-furs, like "why they hate furries so much? What caused it? Etc."

You even had burned furs participating and talking, explaining the experiences that made them choose to leave the fandom and their problems with the fandom. But that was when it first opened up.

I'm not sure when it happened exactly, but I will only assume it was around the time r/yiffinhell got it's entire moderation staff ousted by the Reddit admins and the new lead moderator put in place, was a furry.

I think it drove much of the Anti-furs that were participating away from wanting to communicate and participate and talk anymore. Very few remained.

From their, it kinda became more about drama in the furry community itself and on reddit. Like how the mod staff of /r/furry were overzealous in their moderation of r/furry or the drama surrounding that necrophilic zoophile YouTuber, Kero something....

I mean, it was still well moderated when I stopped subbing that sub, but it was more about furry drama among furries at that point. Well moderated drama, but still drama. And frankly I don't care enough about furry drama to stick around.

And that is why I left that sub. I still appreciate what it was trying to do early on.

They probably can't due to the way the old LA City laws were written. He atleast admitted those laws need to be re-evaluated. Will anything come of it? Doubtful.
