    I swear every TV show now has the same 5 voice actors and every one is some posho, spoiled kid with liberal parents who live in some mansion. It drives me nuts.     I've got a lot of podcasts that I listen to that are funny but not many that can actually get a laugh out of me. My Dad Wrote A Porno is probably the only one that's had me in uncontrollable fits of laughter. The Dollop and Last Podcast have had episodes on and off that have managed. It doesn't matter if they're not a "comedy" podcast per se, I just want a good laugh.

    I understand that the west has ridiculously high levels of propaganda against the DPRK but how do Communists argue with the fact that there is clearly some kind of family line to the leader role?

    Shouldn't the role be "advertised" to other people as well? Why is it following the Kim family line when that seems completely against ML thought?

    Why is a permanent leader important in communism?

    I understand the party is in charge and those positions will change but in most socialist states there seems to be a permanent head ala Lenin, Stalin, Castro, the Kim's etc. Is this what Marx meant by dictatorship of the proletariat? Is it possible to have democratic communism? I'm new to all this but I'm finding it all really interesting. Sorry if this is a common question.

    Hey, I'm new here. I joined Lemmy after the Reddit API changes and found Hexbear shortly after. Once the chuds started ruining Lemmy like they ruined Reddit I found myself here more and more. I'm vegan (don't struggle session me, bro). Nature and animal lover. I'm a big-time music enjoyer. As far as politics go I'm somewhere between socialist and anarchist depending on how hopeful I'm feeling. I've not explored ML much before but I'm finding the ideas shared here really interesting.     What's the history of Hexbear?

    I know it was originally a spin off of the chapotraphouse subreddit but I don't know much else. Is it it still affiliated with the podcast? How has it grown etc? Why was the subreddit closed etc. Give me the lore, baby
