I'm on mobile so formatting might not look the best, but here it goes!
X11 scaling - does this link help? https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/HiDPI Specifically under either xorg or KDE plasma I think you might be able to find some settings that help
For Wayland - would wdisplays help you out? I've had good results using that along with kanshi.
As for system freezing, I'm just taking a shot in the dark but this might be a KDE thing based on a quick search. Wayland is new and sexy, but apparently all the bugs aren't worked out for KDE. This answer isn't great, and is very hand-wavey, but without more details outside of you're on KDE I can't really help much. Unfortunately for you, I switched over to Sway which apparently has better Wayland support out of the box.

Why would you get them something that is from a label that has no standardization? "Bird friendly" doesn't even mean anything. Birds aren't real

HOW DO I GET STARTED!!! What videos do I need to watch and what equipment do I need.
I have a breville espresso machine with a steam wand and I've never been able to manage anything other than a blob circle of foam that pours into the cup at the very end

Knew I should have read the docs ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
In my (not very thorough) read, I saw something about the bindings being per application. Maybe I should stop reading documentation before falling asleep

Just switched last night!!!
So far it's been great, but I need a way to migrate over my keybindings from xmodmap. I tried searching but everywhere I go gives a different answer. Can anyone help guide me in a direction? I'm primarily looking to remap caps to escape/control on hold. Would be great to remap some unused keys on my laptops keyboard to media keys as well. Thanks!!

Yeah, aligning with existing comments: it's a lot of self-help hotness with no real substance or framework that I can apply to myself. It ranks pretty low on actually helping me be "effective", but was decent at getting me to read the book.

If you're launching from steam, you can have a look at this: https://github.com/yuzu-emu/yuzu/pull/5229
yuzu.exe -f -g "path_to_game" - Launches a game at path_to_game in fullscreen
I think when you are adding a non steam game (I don't have my deck right now, so I forget the exact steps) - I want to say in desktop mode - you can add in some exe commands. '-f -g "path_to_game"' is what you want to add in

Yeah, I get where you're coming from. I am a fan of the series but I can't explain why I enjoy watching shows or movies that make me feel anxious and stressed out. I guess it feels more "real" watching flawed characters make flawed decisions?

Preface: I'm US based, I don't know how barbers work where you're from.
For me, finding a good barber includes having a conversation about what kind of things Im looking for. This can be as broad as "I don't really know what fits me" or "I'm looking to go a bit longer so I can style it like this picture of a person with similar hair".
After a couple of cuts, if I trust the barber can combine what I'm asking for with their skillset along with what they think looks good, I'll tell them something like "look, I trust your style. You can cut it however you think looks good". Their job is to cut your hair, but more importantly cut it in a way that makes you happy so that you keep coming back. A good barber will listen to you and get you a good haircut that gives you confidence :)
Good luck!

I have a Thinkpad x1 nano that I threw Linux on. Not sure if it counts since it came with Windows installed, but Thinkpads have historically done well with Linux support.
It's tiny, super light, can't upgrade any parts, has minimal ports and I love it

That's a rather broad statement. Did anime do something to you? Also, this is manga, so not only is your statement generalizing a beautiful genre, it's a statement about the wrong thing

I'm definitely looking at kobo readers now. Do you have any handy links handy for posterity/future people looking for ereaders? Otherwise I'll go looking for write ups on how to set this up before I pull the trigger

I'll +1 this guy. Is this the 100% best way? No idea, but there are going to be a bunch of ways. The less preconfigured options, the better. As you use it, your configs will be molded to your preferences so a minimal start is ideal and will give you a good sense of direction.
Good luck and happy vimming!

I used to always think that way until I realized that it's even better to be patient and not have to deal with prolonged recovery from starting back up too soon. I'll take better gains from properly waiting until I'm fully recovered every time

I've been having trouble getting syntax highlighting to work on my '```' fenced code blocks. I give it the right/supported language identifier, but nothing changes.
I'm using neovim with a bunch of lsp plugins and treesitter. Anyone have dotfiles with markdown code syntax highlighting working?

"...she thought I was going to harm her".
That's unfair, your dentist caused harm to you during your procedure because they were (I'm assuming here and making connections to try and stand up for you. You gotta fill in some of the blanks here) unable to plan accordingly for your crown.
You had a traumatic experience due to something that wasn't your fault and it sounds like the dentist is likely unaware of how you felt. Did you speak up and let them know that you were in an amount of pain that you were having trouble dealing with during the procedure?
Heyo all! I'm kind of in the market for an ereader. I've been primarily reading books on my phone with moon+ reader. While the application is very nice, I think for my pre-sleep routine I'd prefer a dedicated ereader. Are there any devices that can either 1) possibly sync my reading position with moon+ reader 2) have a comparable application on Android that can sync reading positions Not looking to read exclusively on an ereader (sometimes the phone is just convenient). Thanks in advance!

Same for me too! Every part but going in to the office. No people to distract me at home. Less traffic without a commute. Oh and this is not just Fridays, it's every day I don't go in to the office.

I think I share the sentiment with a majority of the responses from my fellow tech workers: fuck yeah, they deserve it. Those people are out in the elements (mind you during record breaking heat waves).
They deserve every dollar of that 170k and more as I sit in an air conditioned room pushing pixels

Have a 5600x with a 3080. I'm running the latest version of yuzu with (I think) v1.1 of the game. Runs pretty much perfect! There is the rare graphical issue with fog showing up weird (maybe once every 30 loads) and the game sometimes crashes during the load screen (maybe once every 50 loads). Overall pretty minor issues. I've dropped dozens of hours and am just trying to explore the world as much as I can before I finish the game. Would highly recommend!

I almost feel like this is basically Fridays at my place of work. Since it's not formalized that means I don't have to worry about anyone looking to adjust my salary or PTO or whatever corporate america would do to validate the savings of a 4 day work week. Selfishly I like where it's at, but I do think overall the 4 day work week would benefit us all as long as pay doesn't decrease
I've tried looking this up and never find a solid answer. Seems to be down to preference, but I'm thinking there has to have been some study around fonts and reading speed or reading comprehension, something that would help me pick a font? I have no sources but I also read that some fonts are easier for people of certain regions (ex: people from Antarctica enjoy reading Arial font). Should I just end my search and try to enjoy my ebooks?
