To echo what a lot of people are saying, just go for it with confidence (which is easier said than done, I know.) "Hey, I think we would be a good couple and I was wondering if you wanted to go out sometimes." And if they no with same confidence (or fake it) "I'm so sorry, i must have misread the situation. Don't worry, you don't have have to be awkward around me.". And that'll take the pressure off of both of you so it's not weird

What about "Hey l'm so sorry I really can't talk right now, I have to finish the yardwork before [some excuse] but I can stop by tomorrow to chat for a few minutes."

Nope sorry. But maybe I should tell people it is. The first lyrics of the first song of my all time favorite album is "No regrets Coyote"

I'm a little nervous to post because I haven't shown anyone yet, but I really like it. No regrets Coyote (Crossed posted on Pixelfed and Mastadon)

Like what you like! l'm not here to yuck anyone's yum. You like Systemd cool. You prefer something like Runit cool. You don't care one way or the other, that's fine. Run what you want ... BECAUSE YOU WANTED TO

I actually wanted to make a systemd meme that wasn't a part of the flame war at all, so this meme isn't taking a stance, just here for your amusement.

Yes. I don't remember the exact numbers but the early 000s deal with computers and the later 000 deal with hoaxes and forgeries

Of course. And no worries. I know it's a niche joke. Buckle up it's a long one. Many public libraries, at least in the US, use the Dewey Decimal System (000-999) to organize their nonfiction books. The gist is that Mellville Dewey is problematic for many reasons, but for this example you have to know that when organizing books, Dewey's best practice is that known hoaxes are categorized and shelved right along with the nonfiction books in the same category. For example the book 1421 claims that America was discovered by the Chinese in year 1421. This book is shelved right along the rest of American history in 945.05. However, the 000's is the "contested knowledge" which has ghosts, UFOs, Bigfoot, etc. I feel that moving books like 1421 into 000s it lets librarians contextualize books by essentially saying "we think this book is as true as ghosts."
Saw this format a few times and enjoyed it
Who else is excited about Under Night In-Birth II Sys: Celes is being released this week?! Hyde was the first fighting game character I ever learned. Full disclosure: I am not good at fighting games, I just love to play them

Besides physical violence, the most absurd thing I've seen was a man who bought a car after his wife pleaded not to because it would bankrupt them. He didn't like that she was "telling him what to do." They had two perfectly fine vehicles btw.

I recommend OpenSuse Tumbleweed because it's easy to install and easy to get up and running,! Personally, I use Void. But I think the more important question is which desktop environment should I use because that will have the greatest impact on how you use and interact with your device.

Maybe try a game in a different genre than fantasy. That way you won't constantly be comparing the system or your PC to Path Finder.
5e is fine but I also love indie games and creators

Losing gives you a chance to practice being happy for someone else. Remember board games especially are an excuse for you and a bunch of people you like to sit at a table and do something fun. If you can't find joy in simply playing a game, just take a moment to appreciate the joy and excitement of the people around you.

I use Void Linux. I switched from Arch btw because I liked their package manager, was curious about their init system runit, and still wanted a rolling release. I've used it for a little over a year now and overall I've been happy.

Apologies if this is a dumb question. I use a different VPN instead of Mullvad. If I install that VPN's plug-in and delete the Mullvad's VPN plug-in would that make me easier to identify since I've made changes to the browser?

I'm in the same boat. I had a PS1 when I was a kid and didn't rediscover video games until a few years ago in my early 30s. I definitely appreciate games more as a form of self expression as an adult.

Not every game is for everyone, and that's okay!
For example, I am terrible at Super Meat Boy, but just playing it has really improved how I play platformers and games that need faster imputs overall.

Judge John Hodgman. It's about people with silly disputes, and John and his bailiff Jesse Thorn way in on them. What's great is even though the disputes are silly, they both come at the cases with such thoughtfulness and empathy, listening to the show will make you a better and kinder person. Also sometimes Jean Grae guests bailiff's and she is amazing too.

I would liken it to more like if Debian was a shot of whiskey, Ubuntu is like a whiskey sour. It still has whiskey as a base but enough ingredients have been added and changes have been made that it's its own thing.
