Specifically sponge cake? Like seriously?

I was totally reading this title thinking it was extending the shelf life of all foods generally and stuff, then they drop "Sponge Cake" in there instead. 🤣

I'm right there with you. Maybe us THPS fans all just have a "fuck the man" mentality and refused to buy from Epic. Then again, this game never got cracked, either...

Based on my research, the first season of the Netflix live action show (8 episodes) covers the first 61 anime episodes. At this rate, the live action show could still continue for 17 more seasons.
In all seriousness, the more I think about it, the more perfect this anime was for adaptation. There's a ton of filler in the anime, but otherwise good story beats and character development. When you condense that down, you get all the good and leave out the cruft.
I watched all of the live action show this weekend, and really enjoyed it. I figured the anime tone and goofiness that they clearly baked right into it would work against it like all the other live action anime adaptations, but it feels like it's a lot less of a quick cash grab than the others. Some real love and attention went into it and it's a lot of fun.

I'm not advocating for ignorance. We should still be as informed as we can be. Optimism and pessimism show up when there are unknowns.
It's ultimately best to be correct and happy, which is achievable, just not if you're pessimistic.

Fuck yeah. Nice work FBI. 👌

Because it's all for you. You're protecting yourself from disappointment.
Time almost always proves you correct, and very occasionally, you're pleasantly surprised!
But what about everyone else around you that you care about? Being pessimistic tends to wear on them and simply for personal gain.
I'd rather be wrong than unpleasant.

Yeah, the ISP cartels sucks. I've been stuck paying $170/mo for uncapped 1000/35mbps connection.
Thankfully, before the end of the year, a local ISP is moving into my area. They offer uncapped symmetrical gigabit, for $75/mo... I'll be saving $95/mo for BETTER service.
The longstanding ISP cartels should seriously be punished for the abuse of their market positions and failure to appropriately use government funding they've been given.

LTT, for better or worse, is a very popular tech/PC gaming entertainment YouTube channel. A lot of the younger folks in the nerd space probably grew up watching his content.
I started watching a little late, because I thought he seemed kind of annoying back in the day, but I actually do enjoy their content. It's clear they have some organization and communication problems internally that they need to sort out, though.

It's a little more than that. Felons in Georgia can apply for a pardon after fully serving their time, paying their fines, and then waiting 5 years without committing additional crimes. There are additional requirements, but those are the big ones.
The RICO charge alone carries a minimum sentence of 5 years. Trump is looking at 5-20 years if convicted.
So really, at best, Trump could be pardoned in 10 years.
RetroEvolute 1 year ago • 100%
He could not be federally pardoned, no. The State of Georgia can also pardon individuals of state crimes, but this requires the applicant has paid all fines amongst other requirements like being a law abusing citizen for over five years after serving their sentence. The governor cannot pardon.

I mean, it's still another pretty big company, but the Shopify "Shop" app is actually pretty great as an alternative to Amazon.
Basically, all the businesses using a Shopify online storefront are amalgamated and searchable in one app, and the UI is pretty solid, too. I really like that a business can have their own website with a storefront, but also be there for convenience and still be in the same system.

I like video games, goofy stuff, and tech. So lately, it's been:
- My Brother, My Brother, and Me
- Noclip
- Besties
- We Have Concerns
- Search Engine (New podcast from PJ Vogt of Reply All fame - if you haven't listened to Reply All, there are a number of great episodes to enjoy)
- How Did This Get Made
- and occasionally Swindled (my girlfriend likes true crime stuff and this is about as close as I like to get to that)

Hey, I thought your post lent itself well to using img2img stable diffusion to create a more detailed version of your 7yo's drawing and story.
By far, the best result came when I cranked the de-noising level up, but it's further removed from the original drawing. I used the story as the prompt to give the model (Dreamshaper XL, a brand new SDXL checkpoint) more information.
Here's an album including the ones with lower denoising values to line up more with the original sketch: https://imgur.com/a/hH9pYE5

Sorry, I was more referring to Biden'a classified docs that were found. Trump's offenses are on a whole other scale, but there's at least a modicum of similarity there to compare.
RetroEvolute 1 year ago • 94%
The only thing close to what Trump has done that Biden was involved with is when there were some classified documents found, which were promptly returned. Unlike Trump, who purposefully and knowingly took classified documents, left them unsecured in his resort, bragged about it, and refused to return them when requested.
Biden also didn't stage a coup or lie about and try to manipulate election results.
So, like, no where close to "half" of what Trump has done. If you actually believe that, you're a fucking moron.
And who gives a shit about Hunter. He's not even a public official, unlike Ivanka and Jared Kushner were during Trump's presidency where they promptly used their positions for personal gain...
Quit with the both sides bullshit and read a fucking book.

Sampling is just how many passes Stable Diffusion makes to generate the image. It makes noise based on the seed and then diffuses it with the prior image in "latent space" as many times as you select.
The first few samples are going to be pretty abstract, but with each pass it can add more detail. At a certain point, additional passes aren't likely to get much more detail, though, I think primarily due to the limitation of the resolution (512 for 1.5, for example). Instead, the new noise basically pushes the image in a slightly altered direction.
There's no right answer to how many steps you should use. It's going to vary between models, seeds, and your prompt. I find 20-40 works best in Stable Diffusion 1.5 based models.
If you generate an image that looks great other than some minor oddities, try adjusting the steps up or down a bit and see if it resolves it. If not, use a seed variation (the "Extra" checkbox next to the seed number in AUTO1111) to keep the original seed, but introduce slight alterations.

I know I'm an outlier here, but I really enjoyed the movie. The CGI wasn't perfect, but I don't care. There's so much CGI in the movie, some was bound to be shite. It's WB after all, what haven't they fucked up in recent years? I think the bigger problem is the association with Ezra Miller and this version of Flash being pretty childish and weird.
But I love a good Flashpoint story, and I'm excited about Gunn's DC.

Thanks! Those are birchwood butcher block countertops (bought from Home Depot). I cut them to size (including the one by the window lengthwise to be slimmer), sanded, stained, and finished them, then attached some legs and risers I bought from various places on the web. Pretty hefty which keeps shaking/vibrations to a minimum. 👌

Yeah, I saw that e3 demo with the pachinko barrels, water physics, and wood breaking, and I just knew had I to play it with no compromises. Spent my life savings at the age of 14 to build my first computer. Paid a friend's older brother to teach me how. 😅

Gotcha. If the m.2 is cheaper (and consider additional HBAs or Adapters or chassis you'd need), then I'd go m.2 still. Just figured SATA might be a little more straightforward and is typically cheaper. Seems reasonable enough.
RetroEvolute 1 year ago • 100%
Never tried a build withe M.2 drives, but unless you have a workload that actually needs that kind of speed, SATA SSDs might be better bang for the buck (especially if those m.2 drives aren't nvme). If you're just storing media or something, hard drives are probably still the way to go.

The $160 is a lifetime pass... I pay $20/mo for Netflix. That's $240/year. So, if you think it's worth it for even one year, compared to something like Netflix, then it's a pretty solid value proposition.
I bought the lifetime pass in 2014 when it was $75. Been more than happy with that decision.
