Another way of looking at it: "AI successfully used to manipulate people's opinions on certain topics." If it can persuade them to stop believing conspiracy theories, AI can also be used to make people believe conspiracy theories.

I didn't know OPS provided interviews? If so, that'd be great since I've been wanting to join for months.

FNP, TL, ST are good. Any general purpose PT is nice since you're probably never getting into RED or OPS anyways haha. Like me :(

I can also recommend Zorin OS for a semi-familiar look with a very polished design. Switched to it as my first distro after ditching Windows for good.

People are biased and prejudiced. People make LLMs. LLMs get trained on data created by people. LLMs become biased. Where's the surprise xD

Oh my God I completely misunderstood the entire thread.... sorry for making you write so much. OP is talking about downloading from jellyfin and sequential downloading has nothing to do with zips. i mixed up .part and .001 .002 etc. oops
LucidBoi 4 weeks ago • 100%
I'm not sure whether I get what you guys are talking about. So, OP is downloading a torrent containing a sequential zip file? What I'm asking then is, how would he be able to continue seeding if the files were extracted by the torrent client?
Another question. When I'm downloading .part zip files as part of one torrent, how can I go about continuing seeding but not having to have both the archives and the extracted files to save space? Is that even possible?
LucidBoi 4 weeks ago • 100%
How do you keep seeding it then?

Oh the files don't have the date in their names. Is -name still gonna work with 'Aug 18'? I'm parsing for the date shown by -ls.
LucidBoi 1 month ago • 100%
I'm using "find . -name '*-FLAIR' -type d -ls -exec cp -lr -t ../../../media_links/ {} ; | grep 'Aug 18'" to make hardlinks for directories created on a certain date. However, I always get an error saying that it can't create hardlinks for a folder that doesn't even match the find criteria, while it works for the folders that I wanted. So, everything works, but I just wanna know why I'm getting that error. Any help? lmk if u need more info

Hi all, I haven't used Discord in a while, but it became so that now I **have** to use it for communication with certain people getting support for some services that I use. What I'm doing currently is: - using a separate randomised e-mail address only for the Discord account - using a randomly generated username - no profile picture - tweaking the settings as best I can for privacy Other than these points, I'm also being wary of talking about anything personal on Discord. Would you add anything so I can be even safer when using Discord?
I want to hear your opinions on the technical changes of the new Notesnook update.
I wonder what my fellow lemmygoers think about the new Notesnook updates, privacy and security-wise.
Does anyone know if it's possible to sideload apps on HBD? I really want to install AudioBookShelf, but support says that it's not available officially yet.
Hi all, I've switched to Linux only recently, and am very sad that I had to abandon WinCompose. For those who don't know, it is a taskbar application which allows you to toggle "compose-mode" with your R-Alt key and then combine multiple keystrokes to create special characters in an intuitive way. For example, Alt -> U -> "-" becomes Ū. Is there an alternative to this for Linux? I'm on Zorin OS 17.1 Core, specifically. To clarify, I'm not looking for a symbol table add-on. I'm looking for something that I can utilise with only my keyboard. Thanks in advance!
I've been using AVG's Alarm Clock Extreme and am looking to make the switch to a libre option. Any recommendations? The more customization options, the better. I go crazy with my alarm optimization.
Zanima me kako su Hreminzi (HR + Leming) politički orijentirani. Ja osobno planiram glasati za Radničku Frontu. Jednostavno se najviše poklapaju s mojim svjetonazorom. Mogu prihvatiti i Možemo.

Hi all, I was wondering whether anyone uses KeePassXC with the Firefox browser add-on on Zorin OS. I can't get the browser add-on to recognize the app. I spent a better part of yesterday trying to figure out a solution but just can't seem to get it to work. Any help?
