I suspect that this may be partially a result of a recent post of mine that some may considered to be in bad taste. So this response is likely to be a bit biased.

For what it is worth, I considered tagging mine as NSFW but ultimately decided it was not necessary. I thought the image was very clearly a staged representation of drug use. Similar to how the Eric Andre meme is clearly a staged representation of murder. Further, there was no blood nor any indication of physical injury and I liked it to an image of somebody smoking pot or drinking to excess.

Do I think drug use alone require a NSFW tag? No.

Should drug coupled with blood, gore, physical injury, exploitation, etc? Possibly.

There’s a lot of anxiety about what Trump does to Republican ability to win in 2028

They think that he won't try again if he looses and he is still alive in 2028?

If only there was something that they could have done to stop him from running at all. Like maybe one or two opportunities to have him impeached that they could have seized in the past.

There is just this concern that like, ‘OK, if the party just goes in that direction, then what kind of party is it going forward?

And yet no thoughts of "what kind of party is it that allows this situation to happen twice".

The outlet also claims concerned Republicans hope Trump’s loss is by a wide margin in order to help stifle any attempts to cast doubt on the legitimacy of his hypothetical defeat.

I bet that "wide margin" they are looking for would be easier if they stopped rigging the system to suppress and underrepresent opposition voters.

We will have to wait until October to see if she gets a slap on the wrist. Seeing how two others were given deals in exchange for testifying against her, I suspect that she will be serving some jail time, especially since she went online, immediately after her conviction, and posted her total lack of remorse for her actions.

As for the donations, she had a team of lawyers working on this for at least 2 years. Pretty sure they are the ones primarily benefiting from any donations. Mike Lindell commented, before he went broke, that he had donated upto $800,000 to her legal defense (though the entirety of that quote makes this claim a bit dubious). Plus a failed political campaign followed by funding a recount for her failed campaign. I get the impression that she has more debt than donations.

But maybe I am wrong. She might get away with probation and / or be rolling in donations and appearance fees. It would be very disappointing but it is a possibility.

Leslie Van Houten, follower of cult leader Charles Manson, is one big step closer to freedom

Jerry Brown rejected all those recommendations. > > However, a state appeals court ruled in May that Van Houten should be released, noting what it called her “extraordinary rehabilitative efforts, insight, remorse, realistic parole plans, support from family and friends” and favorable behavior reports while in prison. > > “She’s thrilled and she’s overwhelmed,” Tetreault said. > > “She’s just grateful that people are recognizing that she’s not the same person that she was when she committed the murders,” she said. > > After she's released, Van Houten will spend about a year in a halfway house, learning basic life skills such as how to go to the grocery and get a debit card, Tetreault said. > > “She’s been in prison for 53 years. ... She just needs to learn how to use an ATM machine, let alone a cell phone, let alone a computer,” her attorney said. > The Manson Family > > Van Houten and other Manson followers killed the LaBiancas in their home in August 1969, smearing their blood on the walls after. Van Houten later described holding Rosemary LaBianca down with a pillowcase over her head as others stabbed her, before herself stabbing the woman more than a dozen times. > > “My family and I are heartbroken because we’re once again reminded of all the years that we have not had my father and my stepmother with us,” Cory LaBianca, Leno LaBianca's daughter, told The Associated Press in a telephone interview Friday. > > “My children and my grandchildren never got an opportunity to get to know either of them, which has been a huge void for my family,” said Cory La Bianca, who is 75. > > The LaBianca murders happened the day after Manson followers killed actress Sharon Tate and four others. Van Houten did not participate in the Tate killings.

WYR nobody be capable of lying to you, or have a device that allows you to witness any event that happened on Earth more than 10 years ago?

Everybody that speaks, writes, sings, etc to you directly or as part of a group would be physically incapable of saying something they knew to be untrue. Anybody attempting to lie would uncontrollably tell the truth instead. This only applies if you are physically in the audience. Example, btoadcasts and pre-recordings would not be covered by this, but all live performances would. Or You have a device, about the size of a mobile phone, that allows you to see and hear any event that has occurred. You only need to provide coordinates and a date to observe what happened at that place and time. Only events that are occurred 10 years or more ago and occurred on the planet Earth (up to 5 mi / 8 km above the surface) are accessible. You can swivel your perspective, but you cannot move around (so no following if your subject leaves the area or moving to peak behind / under anything). Once you start viewing a moment, events play out in real time and you can watch as long as you want. Nobody but you is able to witness the events and you cannot make any recordings.

    Got my Nevada Tattoo

The SO and I like to travel and getting tattoos. In Sept of last year we decided to combine those two interests and start getting "bumper sticker" tattoos for each of the 50 US states. The idea is we find a place that can take walk-ins, give them minimal criteria for the tattoo and let the artist have free reign for the rest. This is our 3rd state tattoo. The criteria for this was "color; a slot machine with an alien, a martini glass, and a heart showing on the wheels". I am so pleased with the results that I want the same artist to do my disco ghost tattoo in August. The SO got an alien Frank Sinatra (which can be seen on the artists Instagram).
