This was just released this year, and it feels like a godsend because this kind of bass is perfect for me, especially since I've been thinking a lot about getting started on recording my debut solo EP. Originally, I was going to use a standard BTB747 to record that EP, but **this** is even better because of the advantages of fanned-fret basses, which include having some degree of more comfortable playing, but, most importantly, it entails a more clear and robust sound for lower frequencies as well. I used to play six-string bass regularly and primarily, but due to complications with my family, I lost many of my instruments. I got a budget 4-string Yamaha as a gift, and I practice it every day, but my heart has been with the extended-range prog metal kind of deal for ages. I intend to use this as my signature instrument, as it's basically the only easily accessible model that gives me everything I want from a bass. I intend to use drop A tuning on it, so it'll be rigged up with the strings from lowest to highest being A₀–E₁–A₁–D₂–G₂–C₃–F₃. Like I said, this is most certainly what I'm going to record my debut solo EP with. When I've saved up a good deal of money, especially now that I'm getting back to job stability, I plan to make it work. I have everything I need to get started on this album except for the instrument itself. I have recording equipment and a DAW, alongside my brain, creativity, and fingers, of course. I have conceptualized some things on my 4-string already, and I feel a lot of inspiration through the ideas I've been able to come up with so far. I will also eventually seek out a full band, and yes, we will dj0nt obviously, but I'll be more likely to look for other musicians after I finally start the process of beginning the actual technical workings of my solo EP, such as full-fledged songwriting, recording, and production. It will be an instrumental progressive metal bass EP consisting of multiple seven-string bass tracks, programmed drums, and maybe some light synth-like ambiance as well.

Starting today, I'm gonna make a series of posts that are in the format of "[$X / $900] Rent Fundraising Post - Day Y (Deadline: October 1)" I've been having tons of anxiety about meeting that goal because, considering how everything has stacked up over this rough period, I don't currently have any amount for this goal to be honest. I had to take care of a few other things first, but now I'm fairly comfortable in all aspects besides meeting this rent deadline of October 1st, having food and all that. My mental health is really rocky right now, and I'm dealing with harsh feelings pertaining to bigotry like racism, transmisogyny, enbyphobia, ableism, etc. With that in mind, I'd like to emphasize that any amount helps, and when I say any, I mean *any.* My situation feels bad enough that even a $1 donation would make me soy out at this point. Also, strength in numbers is a comforting thing to imagine. Like, if 10 people donated me 10 dollars each over the course of 9 days, that could reach the goal, but ultimately, I appreciate whatever you all have the means to contribute. I don't know what the exact amount I'll need for each product is honestly because I'm low on so many things, but $20ish should be fine. The bad news is that my work situation still seems rather fucked up. The remote job that I apparently got hired by seems to be doing some very sus bullshit. They stated that they pulled me from the "project" that I was "currently working on," but what's really strange about that is that **I have not even started working on anything yet because they haven't even given me any training courses, let alone actual work!** It makes the response they gave seem very automated. I emailed them to get more information regarding these concerns, and I have no doubt that they'll struggle to be transparent. The good news is that I just got out of an interview with a pro-worker organization, and I get my answer from them within 48 hours. Not only that, but they let the people they hire start their job ASAP, so I'd potentially be working the next working day if all goes well. However, I keep my expectations for jobs accepting me low, even if the job is seemingly more leftist and pro-worker. Unfortunately, I did not get in this animal rights advocacy position that I applied for, but I'm decently more confident about this job with the pro-worker org. With all of this in mind, seeing as how it is now September 10th, I want to be rather preemptive in starting to fundraise to cover my rent/bills due by October 1st. The sooner I start, the better, because I'll have no way of telling what my work situation will be until I get more information, but I will definitely keep this community up to date with that. I'm most likely going to need to make multiple posts over time just to provide clarity on how far along I am with covering my bills. The total I need to raise is about $900 for the actual rent/bills themselves, but to be honest, $1,000 may be a tad bit more accurate considering that I also have to purchase necessities like food and hygiene products. **Any** help that **anyone** can grant me is super appreciated, even if it's not financially. I enjoy coffee many ways. I often drink it black, but I also have been known to have it with unsweetened soy milk and usually agave/maple syrup in addition to that. However, I noticed that using *both* soy and a sweetener makes it taste kinda "overwhelming." This morning, I put some agave in my coffee but I put no soy, and it tastes much better. Bottom line is that I can enjoy coffee either black or with sweetener *OR* milk/creamer, but I can't do *both* sweetener and milk/creamer. Now, *that* I can't get with.

You are all awesome. I was able to get roughly $25 from yesterday, and that was enough for me to get my hands on basic bulk stuff like rice, beans, potatoes, etc, so that'll do. However, I am still needing to refill both mood stabilizers and HRT, purchase a new charger, and renew my YouTube music.
