I've played both. Xenogears is a personal favourite of mine, though Xenoblade is years ahead of it in terms of gameplay/presentation. Not to mention it actually being finished!
XB:C doesn't go into nearly as much religious mysticism as XG did, though. So there are fewer vague terms thrown around near the game's beginning. That was kind of a disappointment for me, despite XB:C including some theological elements late in the game.

Transformers used one of the Valkyrie toys as like Starscream or someone early on.
Jetfire, who was named "Skyfire" in the cartoon and given a moderate re-design (and stopped appearing soon after the first season), because the toy design was licensed from Bandai, and Hasbro/Takara didn't want to include what was basically free advertisement for their competitors' design.
Battletech did snag the Valkyrie robots from Macross at some point (though I'm not too knowledgeable about that franchise)
A company called Harmony Gold owns the American broadcast rights to Macross, and has been infamously litigious about defending their IP, despite not using it much. It's a hell of a story, which continues to this day I think.

Don't be stingy with Psi powers. Magic Butterflies are commonly encountered in dungeons.
Grinding is easier after defeating the boss of a Shining Spot dungeon. The enemies there run from you so it's easier to get surprise attacks and insta-wins.
You can only get the Sword of Kings before defeating the boss of the Stonehenge base. All the monsters in the area vanish once the boss is slain, and the weapon can no longer be obtained. That said, Poo is plenty strong without it - None of the super rare weapons/armour pieces are necessary to complete the game.
Psi Thunder is powerful but often misses. As long as there are at least four enemies remaining, it's guaranteed to hit at least one of them.
Managing your inventory by phone is a pain in the ass. If you visit Tracy at your house, you can swap items in and out of storage at will.
The hardest part of the game is before Paula joins your party. Don't lose heart if the game feels too tough until then.
You don't have to call your mom regularly to prevent homesickness. Homesick happens completely at random, whether you just talked to your mom, or haven't spoken to her for the entire game.

I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in his stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Counciler or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate, who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who prefers a negative peace which is the absence of tension to a positive peace which is the presence of justice; who constantly says: "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I cannot agree with your methods of direct action"; who paternalistically believes he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by a mythical concept of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait for a "more convenient season."

That actually sounds like something I've experienced at some point. I HATE being interrupted, so I go out of my way to avoid doing it to other people. And I'm pretty sensitive, so I don't want to start off a statement by suddenly cutting through total silence, so I tend to speak softly. Fact is, I think people just tune me out without thinking. It's nothing personal, though I still feel shitty when it happens.

I should know what I'm talking about. I myself commissioned a genuine katana in Japan for 2,400,000 Yen (that's about $20,000) and have been practicing with it for almost 2 years now. I can even cut slabs of solid steel with my katana.
Japanese smiths spend years working on a single katana and fold it up to a million times to produce the finest blades known to mankind.
Katanas are thrice as sharp as European swords and thrice as hard for that matter too. Anything a longsword can cut through, a katana can cut through better. I'm pretty sure a katana could easily bisect a knight wearing full plate with a simple vertical slash.
Ever wonder why medieval Europe never bothered conquering Japan? That's right, they were too scared to fight the disciplined Samurai and their katanas of destruction. Even in World War II, American soldiers targeted the men with the katanas first because their killing power was feared and respected.

I got back into Lego after a 20-year hiatus. The new pieces are really quite fascinating and open up a lot of new built options, particularly the SNOT (Studs Not On Top) brackets. These are the result of a few months' of casual building. Lego isn't as affordable as I wish it could be, but there are KO brands available, and the Lego company actually makes it quite easy to order specific pieces. I haven't named these models yet. I'm hoping to eventually have a series of multi-coloured mecha which resemble industrial, exploratory, or scientific models, retro-fitted for combat (The People's Revolutionary Mecha Force). They'll face off against another series of B/W/greyscale combat models (The Corporate Fascist Oligarchy). (Names pending). 1. Mining mech with inspiration from Ripley's loader. Recently I had a meeting with someone from my government's job seeker assistance program, who recommended I make better used of LinkedIn in looking for a job. Specifically, she recommended that, if I find a job posting anywhere, I look the company up on LinkedIn, find someone who already works there, and message them directly to get the name of whomever is in charge of hiring, and even to ask if they'd be willing to give me a referral (which can be especially enticing if the company offers referral bonuses). I hate doing this sort of "networking," where every interpersonal interaction is a veneer of courtesy in order to maximize returns, even though I know it's a necessity in today's professional world. It does not sit well with my particular brand of neurodivergence. Since Hexbear is the most based community I know, even when it comes to professional bullshit of this sort, I was hoping someone here could sanity-check this approach. Maybe I just don't want to start hassling someone on social media without someone else telling me it's okay (besides a civil servant). A little more background: - I was laid off last September from an unfulfilling but steady job with a video game publisher. - I have several years of experience in entry-level tech support jobs, with a bit of work on things like databases and scripting. I prefer the latter sort of work because people are confusing and frightening, but my last employer wouldn't even let me do minor work on that stuff, and the ones who do work on it are very defensive of their positions so they didn't offer any help either. - I know the tech sector is kind of fucked right now but that's all I have to work with. - I studied computer science in university but I had to settle for a degree in general studies because I failed integral calculus four times. This was before I was diagnosed with ADHD. - I don't have any certifications. - I don't have much of a code portfolio. I try to keep working on it but it's already all I can do to stay motivated with the job hunt. - I consistently get good feedback on my resume and I've always been a stand-out employee when I am working. Now that I've written all this out I realize that my position is pretty envious compared to a lot of people. Still, after months of applications without so much as a callback, I've completely lost faith in my own judgment. So any feedback is appreciated. Thank you, comrades.
