Play piano online with other people https://multiplayerpiano.net/

This website allows you to connect your midi instrument and play with people all together. It's quite fun, with moments of silence, chaos, and wonderful music

[score][jazz]Have made digital version of old paper score. Just want to share it with everyone. Remo Vinciguerra — IL CUGINO DELLA PANTERA ROSA

I've got homework on very old paper score, then have found poor old pdf on internet(it was a real quest for hour!), then made digital version of it. Just want to share it with everyone: https://musescore.com/user/35262412/scores/14298964 https://youtu.be/E940akZKg6M?si=_wYoE868PWZ2LLlS

Newbie question: how should I interpret this bit of score?

It seems that this score is asking me to play the same B with both hands here. I think I've spotted another piece that does this too. How should I approach this? Do I kind of acknowledge that it's indicating a continuation of the left-hand pattern but ignore that B in the left hand at this spot and play it with the right? Thanks in advance

moving piano on caster cups?

Is it reasonably possible for one person to remove caster cups, roll a wheeled baby grand a few feet out of the way on a hardwood floor, and then roll back and replace caster cups?

Concert Paraphrase on "Howl's Moving Castle" (for piano) piped.video

An incredibly beautiful piano solo arrangement of the well known Studio Ghibli’s “Howl’s Moving Castle” soundtrack. In fact, this channel has a lot of incredible arrangements and transcriptions. Highly recommend taking a look!

Music Practice App: Practice Time https://practice-time.com/

I just wanted to share a small practice app, I've build for myself to keep track of all my piano homework, called [Practice Time](https://practice-time.com/) as well as providing myself with easy self assessment as well as time tracking. **Features Include** This is currently fully implemented - Manage list of practice pieces - Organize practice pieces in easy accessible practice lists - Track practice progress as well as time spend - Offer self evaluation to keep track of improvements - Easy to access simple metronome - Works fully offline (all data is stored inside the browser) and can be installed as App - Fully responsive (works from phones to tablets all the way to desktops) - Backup and Restore feature **Things to Come** The development is not yet done. Here are a couple of things I plan to add over time - Practice notes - A simple timer (to quickly add a stop-watch during practice runs) - Expose more statistics through graphs Please let me know what you think.

Trying to start learning, how should I go about it?

I looked at some of those apps that claim to teach you, but I'm not really in a position to pay the hefty subscription some of them require. Any books or the like I could take a look at?

Beginner Classical Pieces

I have been playing piano for a number of years, and am mostly self-taught. Mostly I've been playing chords+melody, but I've been learning "easy" pieces that I know already recently. Now I am looking for pieces that are within reach. For now I can (relatively comfortably) play - [Rondo Alla Turca (Mozart)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aeEmGvm7kDk) - First, second and 3rd part - [Für Elise (Beethoven)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wfF0zHeU3Zs) - All parts, albeit some much better than others. - [Minuet in G (?)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=icZob9-1MDw) - All the way through, comfortably - [Prelude in C major (Bach)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=frxT2qB1POQ) - All the way through, semi-comfortably Does anyone have any suggestions that doesn't give me a too steep learning curve?

Tips for playing Chopin's Op 25 No 5 cleanly

Hello, I am currently on a quest to learn Chopin's etudes. I know there is a path full of pain ahead of me, but I want to do it for the challenge nonetheless. For my first target I picked the "Wrong Note" etude because I really dig the dissonant character (even though I'm aware it's not the easiest of the etudes) I quickly noticed that the most important aspect is to keep the high notes in the right hand clean and bright so they kinda lay on top of the dissonant seconds. Is there any specific technique, or do you have any tips on how to play this properly? Or is this just completely wrong and I shouldn't worry about it and just push through it? Note: No, for me the tenths in the left hand aren't the biggest problem. I've read this a couple times on different forums and I don't have that problem at all, I find the left hand to be the easiest part of the entire etude

Best Piano Practice App for Custom Sheet Music with Midi support

I was wondering if anyone has suggestions for a good app that allows you to practice custom-created sheet music (e.g. via MuseScore). The problem is all the apps I found so far support custom sheet music but they don't listen to a midi input to verify how accurate my playing was (e.g. what Playground Session does for their library).

Which midi keyboard is best for me under 200 bucks?

I used to play piano when I was a kid and I want to get back into it now that I'm older. I think I have more patience for it now, but I don't have room for a large keyboard. I'm thinking of a small midi keyboard like a oxygen pro mini or mpk mini plus. Do they need to be plugged into a computer to work or can I just connect headphones to them directly? I know these are stupid questions, I'm sortof new at all this. If they have to be connected to a computer, are they compatible with linux, are there any good linux apps to use with them? I don't mind small keys, and I do prefer nice key feel over more midi features. I'm probably not gonna record anything. Lemme know if this is the wrong place to ask this. Thanks.

Which piano for a kid?

Hello! My 5 years old kid has been taking piano lessons for a few months and he seems to enjoy it. I'm thinking of buying a piano for him so that he can practice at home. However, I don't know much about pianos and I'm not sure what to buy. I'm looking at digital pianos mostly since they look cheaper and I don't have much space at home anyway. I did a bit of research on the internet and I understand I should be getting one with weighted keys. Beside that, I don't know what brand or model to pick. Do you have any piano recommendation for a kid who is just getting started? Thanks!

Digital Pianos

Does anyone have a digital piano they'd recommend? I've been missing playing since I moved to my current place, and would like to get back into it. I'd rather spend a few extra bucks now and get a nice one that will last.

how long does it take to learn a song + process question

How long does it take you to get from never seeing a sheet before to playing at the recommended tempo? Just wondering what's typical. It typically takes me several weeks at a minimum, with the caveats that I have little time for practice and am self-taught because I don't have money for a teacher. My process is this: practice each hand independently in chunks, bring each hand up to the 'normal' tempo, then put the hands together at sloooow tempo and gradually raise the tempo. The last part takes the longest. Does anyone have suggestions for improving my process?
