Good morning everyone [@helpers](https://forum.friendi.ca/profile/helpers) I would like to try to understand why from Friendica I can't connect to the Wordpress blog of [@mau](https://frenfiverse.net/users/mau) already federated with [@pfefferle](https://mastodon.social/users/pfefferle) plugin, which is instead displayed correctly by Mastodon. NB: I also have federation problems with Lemmy and not just with Friendica Have any of you figured out what the problem might be that prevents Friendica and Lemmy from federating with that blog (but not Mastodon)?

These are the screenshots of the app Basically, I would be really happy if the Friendica interface (or at least an app) managed to enhance the Friendica groups which, in my opinion, represent one of the most beautiful added values of the Fediverse. I add a further "off topic" which is that if an app for Mastodon managed to represent Friendica groups in such an intuitive way, Friendica would only have to gain. Unfortunately today Friendica groups are a wonderful idea, but their use is still very bizarre; at the same time Friendica could be the killer application of the Social Fediverse, but at the moment it seems more like a (very fun) game reserved for geeks... Could a radical rethink of the interface represent the future path?
I am trying to transfer an account between Friendica servers. On the destination server I type in https://new-server/user/import, it displays the ‘move account’ page. However, when I upload the \*.account file and select ‘import’, it displays a ‘not found’ error page with address: https://new-server/uimport . The versions of both servers are identical, the database versions: 1557. Please advise me how to transfer the account.
Maybe missing something obvious here: Is there a way to build a channel (or otherwise view) communications / posts by "mutuals" (as in people I follow that follow me too)? I thought I've seen that around here already but I fail to find it again. At least in the channels creation screen, I don't see that option...

Es gibt doch die Möglichkeit, einen abonnierten RSS-Feed als eigene Beiträge teilen zu lassen. Ist es zufällig möglich, RSS-Beiträge mit bestimmten Wörtern im Inhalt nicht zu teilen?

One of my currently biggest "issues" with Friendica is handling re-sharing posts right. Like: If I use just "native reshare" on the post, behaviour differs according to where a post comes from. Meaning: Resharing Pixelfed or Mastodon posts will only make them visible to the AP crowd. Resharing Diaspora\* posts will only make them visible for Diaspora\* folks. Same for Tumblr and \*cough\* Bluesky. So I usually do use quote-sharing for content that matters (to me), which however results in being unable to use random Mastodon API clients (like [#phanpy](https://loma.ml/search?tag=phanpy) , [#rodent](https://loma.ml/search?tag=rodent) , [#tusky)](https://loma.ml/search?tag=tusky%29) for that - as in there, I can only (by now) boost Mastodon posts as far as it seems and I am unable to at least easily do a quote-share of an existing boost. Unfortunately, even though I really \_do\_ force myself to use Friendica web / Frio all the time, it still leaves some things to be desired especially on mobile devices. So, wondering: How do you folks handle this? Just use Friendica web and go with its "issues"? Just use whatever "reshare"/"boost" does without not bothering too much about who's able to see the posts? Or not interacting with any people outside the ActivityPub universe at all....?
or maybe more general [#Fediverse](https://loma.ml/search?tag=Fediverse) crowd: Given some communication over here recently, I wonder whether it's possible to compose posts that are visible to followers only but for which \_each\_ of my follower is able to see each response and able to interact with each other person responding there no matter whether these people follow each other too?

When it comes to attachments you can upload and link them, but I didn't found a way to delete an uploaded attachment. Neither in Frio, nor in Vier. Also I can't find a way to list the my uploaded attachments Is there a way to list and delete attachments that I have just overlooked?
Hello , I had to write-protect `config/node.config.php` as it is sometimes being spontaneously overwritten and wrong URL paths like `/featured/` or `/profile/` is being set. For now I guess that code part will fail and then I will be hopefully able to find the cause of it. First I thought this was due to migration during upgrading Friendica but now it just happened without any apparent reason again. First it set `/featured/` as extra URL path, now it was `/profile/`. Is anyone else having this problem? As I wrote in the beginning, I have now write-protected it and wait until I get the error message, that Friendica cannot write to it.
Hello .. I still have lots of theses errors in the admin area, although I have increased the memory limit from 512 M to 1024 M: `2023-01-29T18:10:05Z ALERT worker Fatal Error (E_ERROR): Allowed memory size of 1073741824 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 203440128 bytes)` I am the only user on the instance and the errors seem to appear even when I do nothing. Should I open an issue?

It seems that the notifyall addon was not working with 2022.12 and it is not working with 2023.01. I found this commit on friendica-addons repo ([github.com/friendica/friendica…](https://github.com/friendica/friendica-addons/commit/be80e77e938f2d139645bd3165926cdccf8c6926)). If I apply this change, the addon is working again. Why this small change is not applied to the stable branch? 😀
I'm considering setting up my own instance and in that case I would want to move my account from venera.social to my own. If I export the settings and import on my own server, will my Mastodon, Akkoma and Pleroma followers get moved over with my account as Friendica and Diaspora followers do? There seem to be serious issues with federation between Lemmy and Friendica. When I comment something on a Lemmy server or try to make a post it doesnt get through. Sometimes it gets through to the server after a day or so and other times it has showed up instantly but its very unstable. I have tested with two Friendica accounts - on venera.social and librenet.de. On my Mastodon accounts I have been able to comment and they showed up on the Lemmy instance instantly. Is this a known issue?

Momentan kriege ich von soc.ua-fediland.de eine Friendica-Instanz viele dubiose Followanfragen. Und ich würde die ganze Instanz mal eine Zeit blocken. Aber ich finde die Möglichkeit nicht mehr, wo ich ganze Instanzen blockieren kann. Hab mich durch alle Settings und Addons geklickt. Wo ist das?
Hi , I updated my production node to the latest `develop` this morning and I encountered two problems: * No styles were loaded (as others have been reporting). I found out that the value of `system.url` in `config/node.config.php` had changed to `http://friendica.mrpetovan.com` (notice the absence of https) which triggered mixed content errors in my browser, preventing from loading the styles. Updating the config value to `https://friendica.mrpetovan.com` fixed the issue. Still, it shouldn't have happened in the first place. * Session didn't work across page loads. I use the Cache session handler with the Memcached driver, the `session_id` was constant across pages, the session handler methods were called, but ultimately no data was retrieved. Running out of ideas to troubleshoot this critical issue, I reverted to `stable` where session worked again instantly. Help [@nupplaphil](https://friendica.philipp.info/profile/nupplaphil)

Hi, I just installed Friendica but I have some issues. My instance does not receive comment replies and DM. View from my own instance:  View from my other account on venera.social instance (cat avatar) :  As you can see, from my other account on venera.social I replied to my account on my own instance, but my instance did not receive them. It's the same with private messages, venera.social instance gets them but if I reply from there my own instance will not get the replies. BTW, I installed Friendica through Docker by following the official instructions. I have a reverse proxy in front of it, which is Caddy web server. Thank you

Hi I just ran into a problem that must be related to the Friendica 2022.12 upgrade. Backstory: I use Friendica's calendar for showing upcoming events on my companies website by extracting its ical export. The problem is, that I can no longer read the exported file if I am not logged in and the same is true for the csv export. I checked permissions in Friendica's settings under "Additional Features" and the "Show Calendar to anonymous users" was indeed off although it was definitely on before! Turned it on, still no luck. Using this setting I can hide/show the calendar for anonymous users in Friendica's Web-UI. The exported ICAL and CSV files remain forbidden whatever the setting is. What am I missing here?
I tried to save a post in a own folder. Now it is in Everything and in my (Bookmarks) folder. It's not only once there, looks like a endless loop. Im able to mark the post, but not able to delete it. There is a "Delete selected items" popup instead of the bin icon. Nothing happens, when I click it.

I'm behind on releases, I'm still on 2022.06. One thing preventing me upgrading is that I need to make a full backup for upgrading, but my database has blown up in size. For me, the new storage table is pretty unfamiliar. But it seems to me that there's a lot of unused data there. Everything in storage must be either a photo or an attachment - right? I have 191433 rows in `storage`. I have 127206 rows in `photo`, and just one in `attach`. Hello , The worker queue is growing a lot on my instance right now. The queue has a lot of entries from a blocked server. For running some tests on my test instances, I'd like to have a bot. I'd like a command line that can run on a cron job and which makes a post with some kind of dynamic text content, with the URL of the post on stdout. Ideally also: * Have the post include an image * Have the post be a reply to another post with a specified URL * Option to wait for a new post from a specified user, with the post being a reply to that post * Authentication via username/password passed on command line * Nicer authentication options available Does anyone have any experience with / recommendations for such a bot?
