In my opinion Ironsworn is the gold standard and complete package. I've really enjoyed it the past couple of years.
I am pleased to announce the creation of our new Mörk Borg community here on Lemmy, a space dedicated to discussions, ideas, and resources for our favorite dark and brutal RPG. I want to extend my gratitude to the creators of Mörk Borg, Pelle Nilsson and Johan Nohr, who with their distinct aesthetic and design have given us a game that champions creativity, freedom, and gritty adventure. Their work not only sparked our initial fascination but continues to inspire us and ignite discussions within this community. We invite you to share your experiences, house rules, character builds, campaigns, artwork, and other Mörk Borg related content.

Bunch of stuff here.
Build a rich world, create a character backstory, explore an ongoing adventure, or all three at once - with nothing more than a deck of standard playing cards and a handful of d4s. Meant to be played by a single player at a slow, contemplative pace, Her Odyssey can be completed in a few hours - or it can become a daily ritual, taking you on a metaphorical journey alongside your wanderer for up to two months per playthrough. Dozens of open-ended Hazard prompts provide a starting point for all sorts of adventures and misadventures. Four optional variant rules allow you to customize your game for the perfect genre and level of difficulty.
Looking for all of your journaling, tools and inspirations! Share away and you may just encourage someone else. Love Ironsworn? Show me that blog post with your suffering adventurer. Use Mythic GME? Tell us how. What hacks do you use? Use something else no one has heard about before? Great! Write your own stuff? Wanna self promote a little bit? Go ahead!

Dabbled with it the other day, it feels like a very watered down versiom of mythic gme with some simple ways of doing things. Not bad by any means but not exactly what I was expecting.

This booklet allows you to play Dungeon World without a gamemaster. These rules use a simplified yes-no mechanic designed to encourage the use of gamemaster moves. Adventure and the Campaign Front is a central element of these rules. As you play the Fronts will be built up based upon the choices you make and how your game unfolds. Although these rules are intentionally simple and easy to use, the booklet is 24 pages, and include plenty of examples and full colour art by Felipe Ganona.

This is why constructive criticism is important. Though we should be ourselves what others think can be somewhat important in adjusting how we display ourselves.
I've been told I seem arrogant in the past. I always wanted to be perceived as the person who would help anyone whenever they needed it. A mentor opened my eyes with some tough talk and it has made me pay more attention to the little things I may do.

Sworn by Ghostlight is a GM-less game intended for solo play - or co-op with two investigators - over one to two sessions. It is designed to be printed as a tri-fold pamphlet TRPG. All you need for play is a six-sided dice, 2 ten-sided dice, and some pen & paper. You play an Occult Detective in the haunted, Victorian-London inspired city of Mónaþstone, where the moon's cracked surface bleeds Ghostlight onto the world, where it festers as ghosts, necromancy, and undeath. Investigate locations & clues. Interrogate suspects & witnesses. Fend off assailants. Solve the investigation and close the case. The culprit - their motive, means, & opportunity - are not predetermined in a Sworn by Ghostlight game. Rather, the clues you gather help you to envision them. When you feel you have all the information you need, make the final reveal & close the case. But, will you catch the real culprit, or is there more to the case? Are they out there still, even now? Play to find out. Sworn by Ghostlight is played using simplified rules from the Ironsworn RPG System. Every game of Sworn by Ghostlight is unique to your version of events. May Ghostlight guide your path.

Quill is a solo roleplaying game with a twist. Instead of hacking goblins and looting caves, you are writing letters. Rather than having attributes like strength or dexterity, characters in Quill use Penmanship, Language and Heart. In a game of Quill you will write real letters, with the aim to craft the best, most beautiful missive possible in order to get a favourable response. You will use words from the Ink Pot to inspire your letter - but be warned, should you roll badly you could end up writing a bad letter. If you're looking to kill some time, Quill is a perfect roleplaying distraction and something completely different from anything else out there. Winner: Best Free RPG of 2016 - Indie RPG Awards

Two playthroughs of this and I'll be using this as a tool from now on when worldbuilding.
Not only was it fun and interesting to discuss the conflicts between factions and power struggles over resources... it was relaxing. Growing the city/village through the generations is interesting as well. Most enjoyable with some good ol pencil and paper. I did however make it work (mostly) with Roll 20. Definitely worth the 10 bucks.
