Echoing others, outdoor exercise is definitely the most restorative activity for me.
To add to this though, I also have taken up Photography as a way to add to or enhance my hobbies and activities.
I usually bring a camera with me on hikes, trips, walks, bike rides, nearly anytime I leave the house. It helps me see the world with my creative switch “on” but without the pressure of having to take an amazing photo - something I feel when I only bring out a camera for special occasions.
I also want to stress the importance of taking photos for yourself as the primary goal, and if only sharing photos that you personally like, not photos that you think others will like.

I believe some custom ROMs use an AOSP version that is very simplified, but it’s not a 1:1 replacement. I’ll be following this to see if anybody has suggestions.

The benefit of taller screens is for productivity, not media consumption. More lines of text is preferable to many people, myself included.

Thunder on Android is a very good experience, and Memmy on iOS are my favorites at the moment - have been for a couple weeks now.

Very cool! Love it. I’ve also settled on HP5 pushed to 800 as my favorite all purpose film. Works in nearly any condition and always gives usable if not great results

Makes sense to me, it seems Lemmy.world hard become the more stable and active instance since I first posted this proposal.
+1 to unify on this instance 🎉
Hi folks, and welcome to Lemmy. I haven’t seen any posts here yet, so I figured I’d get things started. Please feel free to say hello and share a bit about why you’re interested in film photography/videography, cameras and lenses, TONEZ, repairs, development, inspiration, or anything related to the “analog” hobby. Cheers!

The real issue with instances shutting down is losing access to a user account. Correct me if I'm wrong, but there would be no way to login/recover an account from an offline instance.

+1, with increasing users and posts, this is becoming a real pain. BTW, this post just popped up to the top of my home page haha

Super cool perspective
Hi folks! Is there any objection to unifying c/analog posts to one instance, namely the !analog@lemmy.ml instance's community? Thanks!

I've used linux either as my main or secondary OS for about 18 years. Ubuntu is still the easiest to setup and get started, but in my experience becomes the least flexible over time to tweak to my liking. Arch linux does have its cons, and often requires care and time to address updates, but it is by far my favorite distro — pacman + AUR and the full control of my OS are what makes it truly feel like my own OS and computer
