Even in a future where we fix car dependency, electric vehicles will still exist as busses, trains, emergency vehicles, ebikes etc.

Hacking got harder, and the enforced penalties for getting caught became a lot more severe (in the west at least). This meant that most hackers aren't doing it for luls but for serious business.

The timing of Biden dropping out was very strategic to save Harris from getting dragged down by primaries, and leave RNC without much time to come up with an attack strategy. A Canadian election could be up to a year away, seems premature if that is indeed the plan.
That said I don't think there is a PM that could save the liberals much at this point (I don't think there is literally anything that could save them now) Freeland has pretty much the same baggage as Trudeau and Canadians vote more for party than for PM.

A judge sentenced the 54-year-old on Thursday to four months’ suspended imprisonment and an 800-euro fine ($886.75) for grossly negligent homicide.
Imagine going to court for 3 years trying to get your loved ones murderer to face consequences, you win, and they get off with a 800 dollar fine.

Personally I prefer free range Fediverses.
But seriously, I think it's still an extremely tough sell to get people to pay for social media. I also think this is only meaningfully effective at a pretty large scale, I think the fediverse is better with many small servers. If we do want this sort of larger scale development I don't think "donate to vote" is particularly appealing to the average user.
I think a more enticing model I think is pay for feature work. An estimate is made for a features difficulty and then users donate (with some sort of fee to go towards server maintenance/upkeep) towards a feature and if the goal is reached the feature is worked on. This is already a popular model for particularly translations of freeware.

They had a whole section for healthcare, harris called for expanding Obama care and attacked trump for doing nothing during his time. Trump said he'd replace obama care when a better solution comes around and accused Harris of wanting to get rid of private healthcare (which she denied).

I just skimmed /r/conservative 's live thread and they are mostly talking about how unfair it was, with a few "i got a bad feeling about this" and "why are we being bigraded" posts, which is a pretty good indicator he lost imo. It'll be 8nteresting to see what narratives they cling too once the dust settles and the astroturfers sync up.

Here's a case + 500w psu I picked up the other day:

(if you already have a case, hdds, psu, and cooling on hand.)
You can also get all of those except the hdds for quite literally 0 dollars, although depending on electricity prices and what upgrading you want to do it might be better long term to spend on the psu.

Are you worried about getting in or are you worried about what you'll do when you get there? What I did was find a syllabus for one of my first year courses and then obtained the text book by searching online (this site is pretty good http://libgen.rs/) or checking the library. Don't worry about getting the exact version the point is to get a leg up on the concepts.

Canada post is a lot more popular than what i hear about usps. I'd say most packages that aren't Amazon (like 30% of amazon too) go through canpost, until now at least it's usually the cheaper option, and at least in my area much less likely to damage a parcel. They also have more locations. In my town of 600k there is 1 FedEx package pickup with no transit options or bike lanes, but canpost is in every other drugstore.

You don't seem to be reading my comments, or perhaps you are conflating them with someone elses?
Firstly, I asked why the statements that I said are not sexist are harmful, I don't think your statement answers that.
Second, the whole point of my initial post and the original post here, is that it isn't biological differences, it's social differences about how you are raised, how you were taught. Within a western context we all were sent to the same schools, the same playground experiences, the same movies and TV and the same daycares. Even if an individual escapes the socialization of one of these vectors, they are still exposed to all the others. that's what's under critique, not inherent truths about humanity. It's important to introspect on these issues and seek to unlearn the parts that are harmful.
I also never even mentioned the word rapists in any of my comments, that seems like an entirely separate conversation entirely.

You can also use a water bottle or watering can, although I can't really recommend that experience but that's what people who are socialized to use them do when they can't afford/install a proper one.

Could you elaborate on why you feel one or more of those statements is harmful? These sorts of statements were very helpful to me growing up, it was pivotal in realizing there wasnt something wrong with me, but rather i just needed to seek some extra instruction. Seems like the one on emotional regulation might be very helpful to you as well, as it seems to be limiting your ability to communicate here.

Idk if it's getting worse, most gen z boys seem to have been taught to clean much better than those before and are expected to be able to cook. That's not to say all movements to equality happen in the right direction, it seems young boys have much more body issues than before (e.g mogging mewing etc) and that sucks.

Men are bad at cleaning => sexist
Men are not taught as children to clean => not sexist
Men can't emotionally regulate => sexist
Men are not socialized to emotionally regulate => not sexist
Women can't change a tire => sexist
Women aren't taught to change a tire => not sexist
Women are emotional => sexist
Women are taught to share their emotions => not sexist
There's a big difference between making a statement about society and making a statement about humanity.

With tea, if you resteep the tea multiple times, only the first cup contains significant amounts of caffiene, some teas resteep better than others (if memory serves oolongs are the best, and green teas the worst to resteep). My mum used to drink ~15 cups a day, now it's more like 3 resteeped 5 times.
Personally I have pretty bad reaction to caffiene so I only have coffee occasionally when I need a productivity boost or go without sleep, but I do the tea stuff too.

It's just not really true, when I broke my foot (as a Canadian) I didn't really consider an ambulance, because I didn't need stabilizing or healthcare on the ride over and i probably didnt want to go to the ER over UC during the height of covid. I just hopped in an Uber, which got me there faster, why would i want the whole gurny and flashing lights. There are certainly people who would have called an ambulance in my situation (and plenty of situations where a broken foot warrants an ambulance too) but there are also plenty of rich Americans who would do that too.
