Well I'll just wait for the ultimate edition to go on sale for $50 or whatever.
I guess this is kind of the logical conclusion of the "never buy unless it's more than 50% off" attitude.

It's amazing because GFN is still going strong and Microsoft is really pushing their cloud gaming platform. Stadia was just horribly mismanaged.

Let's be honest, the reason for that policy is so that if a Chromebook does fail you can go back to the manufacturer for warranty coverage.
I would trust an Anker charger just as much as an OEM charger.

USB-A, per the specification, is only supposed to provide 5V max. Qualcomm Quickcharge violates the USB-A specification, so only other devices that are designed to violate the specification and thus be compatible with QC will charge faster.

But for my son I got an 8bitdo Lite 2 because it's smaller and easier for him to hold. Works great.

No, my Framework 13 is integrated only but it is still significantly more powerful than the Steam Deck. I haven't really done any ML stuff so couldn't tell you.
Mine was quoted as Q4 2023 when I ordered it and shipped by the end of November.

So on their site they are pretty clear about the Kopperkant being made in China, but specifically say the Drakkant Stainless and Ti are made in the US. I will take a look though!
I'm specifically considering the Drakkant Ti. I have a Rockwell 6S but I want something a bit more aggressive. Does anyone have a razor from them? Is it solid quality?

Are you talking about something you hook up to the TV? A raspberry pi is a great option but you need to provide your own games. It's just going to be the most flexible for playing whatever game you want. There are a couple distros for it that are easy to use once setup (retropi, recalbox). An RPi 3 or newer will do anything lighter than N64.

D3 at launch had no endgame at all, much like D2. It was just farm bosses in the campaign until you got better gear to move to the next difficulty, rinse and repeat. Now, it did take longer because the game was balanced around the auction house. You were incredibly unlikely to find gear that would carry you into the next difficulty, so buying gear was generally the strategy to get you to the next difficulty. Then you could sell the gear you farmed there. It wasn't really an issue on Normal/Nightmare, but it was on Hell/Inferno.

Ha fair point. I'd argue though that if you never, say, took the steps of getting to the NFL then you didn't make an "attempt."
But yeah, in your analogy it's more like his team didn't make it to the playoffs.

To be fair, that balance of progression in D3 didn't come until Reaper of Souls. Should they have learned from it? Yeah. But D4 is honestly in a better place than D3 was at launch.

Eh, you're talking what, $1500 for a headset and rig? Even if you have 4 setups at one of those kiosks the cost to have someone running it is going to quickly outpace the cost of the hardware.

I can't imagine there is but I'm wondering if I am missing something. I use GeForce Now and unfortunately it does not work in Plasma Wayland (issues with input redirection). Is there any problem with logging into an X11 session whenever I want to use that but using Wayland generally?
Here is what I've compiled so far: - Allen & Bright - Christmas Vol. 1 and 2 - Trevor Gordon Hall - Let Your Heart Be Light - Tommy Emmanuel - All I Want For Christmas - Tommy Emmanuel - Christmas Memories Any other recommendations?
While even the artists signed to the major label imprints aren't as popular as some other genres, today's ease of distribution means we have some great independent artists to listen to. What are some you'd like more people to know about? - [Cauldron Born](https://cauldronborn1.bandcamp.com/) a cool solo project that puts out some consistently solid US Power Metal. He currently has a new album on indiegogo. Some of his earlier stuff can be a bit rough around the edges so try his newer albums if you're interested. - [Osyron](https://osyron.bandcamp.com/) is a very cool progressive metal group. At least one of the members is active on Reddit.
My laptop is arriving on Monday and I haven't picked a distro yet. I currently use Debian but that is on older hardware. I'm experienced with a lot of distros so I'm a bit flexible here. I was thinking openSUSE for the sake of the latest and greatest AMD drivers, but I do see that Fedora is officially supported while openSUSE is not. Are there any hardware compatibility issues I could expect?
A pretty solid prog metal outfit out of Canada.
If you aren't familiar, it was Travis Baldtree's ARPG before he worked on Torchlight. You can recognize some of the concepts there like utility pets. It also has a cool loop that you "retire" your character to pass on bonuses to your new character - increased fame and being able to hand down an item that gets upgraded every time you do so. I'm not saying it beats out Last Epoch or Grim Dawn, but it's a solid old-school dungeon romp.
I have a Galaxy Tab S7 and for a trip to Spain I downloaded some stuff to watch on the flight. When I got on the plane none of the stuff downloaded on Disney+ would play. Maybe an issue with downloading to the SD card? I don't know, but regardless Disney offers SD card as a download destination so they should make sure it is working. So now I'm here pirating a show that should be available to me through a service I pay for. Gabe was right, piracy is a service problem.

I recently switched my server over to running Plex and Home Assistant in Docker. I like the ease of transfer (just move my compose file and one directory where I have stored all the configs and I'm set) as well as the simple permissions management to give access to directories. I have only used Fedora briefly, but I am considering it instead of my usual openSUSE because it is "officially supported" for the Framework 13 I have on order. I saw the immutable versions and the idea seems cool though I don't really understand what new I would need to learn or really what benefits it would have. Is the concept overkill for a single-user laptop?
A lot of them seem to be "free" with an optional subscription.
I was always a huge fan of the Guild Wars Mad King event. GW2 took it to the next level with a lot of fun activities. What games have seasonal events that you enjoy?
Made me realize they don't understand GFN at all. This is Neocore who developed Warhammer 40k Inquisitor and The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing. Van Helsing has been offline for almost a year and the Inquisitor Prophecy launcher is offline (you can still play all the content through the Martyr launcher). I reached out to their support on Discord. They first responded with "you can't play unsupported games on GeForce Now." Well, yeah, it's supported. Then they said "because it no longer supports the online mode you won't have it on GFN." Obviously BS. Then they went to "well it used to be supported but isn't anymore. We'll see if we can get them to update the listing to make this clearer." I explained that it's supported because they opted in - it's just broken. Then they finally said they won't be able to get anyone to look at it because the game is not supported anymore. It's baffling that this is the response from a company that has opted all their games into the service.
I played a ton of Diablo when it first came out, but never really got into Hellfire. I set it up on devilutionx on my phone and I've been playing a warrior. I keep getting "block locked." I remember that being an issue in Diablo, but not at all to the extent I'm seeing here. As few as three enemies can keep me locked up to where I can't fight back. Am I misremembering Diablo, or are things worse in Hellfire for Warriors?
Has anyone else been getting frequent error messages on lemdro.id the last couple days? I am using the standard web interface and keep seeing something to the effect of: `FetchError: request to http://lemdroid-lemmy.flycast/api/v3/post/list?type_=Subscribed&page=1&limit=20&sort=Hot`
I was on Play Music/YouTube Music for years and ultimately switched to Spotify as I found that YTM didn't have accurate information about obscure artists. For some obscure bands I like it either had no information (and so playing radio of them would just play their own music, or unrelated music I like) or poor information (and would play music that wasn't really similar). It also became "over-personalized" - for example, on my wife's account it would only play power metal if I played Blind Guardian radio, but on my account it would play death metal and stuff that's somewhat related but not particularly. Spotify has been better on the first front as they have a better database of music, but still has issues with the second. I'm also frustrated with the number of ads I still get despite paying - not audio ads, but popups and such for concerts, or recommended podcasts or whatever while browsing. Any recommendations? I tried Deezer but found that they have pretty poor info about artists - with very dissimilar artists being noted as similar.
No one told me the new Tomb Mold was so good.
I'm thinking about buying the 16 as I want a new Linux-compatible laptop and I like the whole idea behind Framework. I do a little bit of gaming but honestly just what my Steam Deck is capable of, so I was planning on buying it without the GPU for the moment. Looking at the two processor choices, they seem *very* similar on performance. I'm not sure I can justify the $200 price difference, especially with the hope of a future upgrade to a newer generation. Any other thoughts?
I'm thinking Crusader or Witch Doctor because of the speed build buffs to both, but I don't know. I'm sure DH/Monk will still outclass them.
I can't even find an official link to post, but it's there now. You would think Nvidia would have some huge announcement for this one. Maybe it wasn't supposed to drop until tomorrow.
I'm in the market for a new laptop. I'm currently considering the Framework 16 but I'm wondering if there's anything else I should look at. The System 76 Adder WS seems like a better value, but I'm hesitant to buy Nvidia. I don't need anything super portable, just looking for a decently powerful laptop for some gaming and other basic tasks. I use openSUSE TW but even with the Nvidia repo I've had issues with Nvidia graphics.
I let myself get caught up in my Diablo nostalgia and bought D4. I trudged through the campaign but I just can't get into the endgame at all. Yet I jump into Diablo 3 again and have a blast. And they're still doing balance changes and even adding new features in this update. Diablo 4 just feels so much like early Diablo 3. Loot isn't rewarding, it feels like you're wasting your time with a lot of the grinding, etc... I had hoped Blizzard would have learned since they really improved D3 over the years, yet it seems to repeat so many of the same mistakes.
There goes my dream of an Agents of Mayhem sequel.
Beyond excited for this. I thought they were done after the last expansion. It will be cool to get a transforming mastery in GD also.
