No cóż, chyba inaugurację sezonu covidowego czas zacząć. zobaczymy jak to się bedzie dalej rozwijać. (pewnie jak papier toaletowy, bo to w ściekach, hehe hehe hehe... ... przepraszam)
inny artykuł pokazujący jak long COVID dotyka dzieci. Można zmniejszać szkody i ryzyko.
"The economic impact of these people’s health problems is evident,” the study’s lead author said, “underscoring the urgent need for specific treatment to reduce the loss to both the individuals concerned and society as a whole.” In Shanghai and Hong Kong, researchers have found similar results, though they speculate that brain inflammation, not the virus itself, may be a factor in memory loss. They also worry about the effect of COVID-19 on children’s developing brains: “These long COVID symptoms, especially memory problems, can significantly affect the self-confidence and development of children in coming years,” the researchers write. “Children under 10–12 years are supposed to be [in] the most important stages for the brain development, which [implies] that the effects of viral infection on children’s brains can be more destructive.”

Ok, dzięki za info! Dobrze wiedzieć :)
Badacze stworzyli urządzenie które w ciągu paru minut wykrywa obecność COVIDa w powietrzu.
The oncoming burden of long COVID faced by patients, health-care providers, governments and economies is so large as to be unfathomable, which is possibly why minimal high-level planning is currently allocated to it. If 10% of acute infections lead to persistent symptoms, it could be predicted that ~400 million individuals globally are in need of support for long COVID. The biggest unknowns remain the joined-up scheme of its pathogenesis and thus the best candidate therapeutics to be trialled in randomized controlled trials, along with a better understanding of the kinetics of recovery and the factors influencing this. Some countries have invested in first-round funding for the pilot investigations. From the above, far more will be needed.

"Look, everyone wishes we could get back to some kind of normal. A lot of us are doing that with clean air technologies and masks. The rich don’t like that… That doesn’t give government agencies or the media permission to lie and manipulate data in order to get the reality they want. If my math is right, then it’s honestly disturbing to see the lengths our institutions will go to in order to convince the public that they’re safe when they’re not. My math says excess mortality remains at 6 percent or higher, depending on the month. This isn’t conspiracy talk. The numbers I’m looking at literally don’t match what “liberal” mainstream journalists are trying to tell us. It looks a lot like someone’s trying to cook the books on excess mortality, using the last two years as a new baseline for measurement, a “new normal.” If so, that’s basically cheating."
"It is in fact difficult to know which subgroups of the population have low risks of adverse consequences from breakthrough infection or reinfection, nor is it established that such subgroups exist, to begin with. People of all ages can develop debilitating Long COVID following SARS-CoV-2 infection, even after vaccination2-4. Current evidence suggests infected adults and children are at greater risk of new onset diabetes5-7, adults are at increased risk of cardiac problems8,9 and the long-term impact on children’s cardio-vascular health is uncertain10. In addition, people can experience kidney injury11,12, liver damage13, erectile dysfunction14,15, hearing loss16-19, immune dysfunction20-23, brain and memory dysfunction24, ocular damage25,26 and dermatological complications27,28. In fact there are few organs that SARS-CoV-2 can’t harm, largely because COVID-19 is a vascular disease29-31 with immune-mediated severity impacting multiple organs32,33. SARS-CoV-2 is an airborne virus that is transmitted via the respiratory system34, but the disease it causes is not localized to the respiratory tract35 with its multi-organ, multi-system impacts stemming from its vascular nature, the associated immune perturbation, and other systemic effects. (..) SARS-CoV-2 has been with us for three years. We are still learning how the virus affects human health, but there is already overwhelming and clear evidence it can have lasting impacts on almost every organ as well as the immune system."

"Spring-Summer 2023: Living With COVID I look at my notes from January. Threaded through the words are red lines of anxiety about COVID, the continuing humiliation of having to reveal my medical facts to teenagers and depend on their generosity. In January of the new year, the CDC records a weekly average of 3,662 deaths. I wonder: If all these people were millionaires, then would we still say we were over the pandemic?"
