Chasing graphics has lead to directions nobody could predict and I'm glad I don't play these games.

The rules and the preferences of the judges or what has not won before makes Game of the Year look kinda like shit. Like indie games and fps games without narrative have no chance?

Never could get into that game, I do like deep systems but not so much path of exiles where you pretty much create a character that is useless then you have to make a new one and follow a guide. I do appreciate it's existence but I liked torchlights more casual gameplay and aesthetic.

Dave the Diver doesn't strike me as a game that was rapidly made and I also don't trust Nexon.

Hah I'm still chewing through Dark Messiah, I want to get to Arx eventually too. Maybe try Dark Messiah, it mostly feels pretty modern and impressively immersive.

Weird list that's for sure but at least it's got a decent amount of indie games. Not many classics or older games.

Ah the classic IGN 7/10 for when a mediocre game comes from a big publisher and they don't want to rate it lower.

It was a bit long but I enjoyed myself through the entire experience, I feel some of the systems would fall apart if it was less than 10 hours long. Also the game was segmented into unique areas from what I remember so some of those would have to be cut.

Not a chance Molyneux is basically a video game scam artist now.

That's good they can make their own IP and not be limited by Bethesda and Microsoft. I don't think the fallout IP is going to go anywhere at least in video game form from what I've seen of the new games and what has been said by the lead devs.

Well the first one was a very causal puzzle game. Similar to polybridge but very easy and in real time. I remember it more for the the asthetic, art and music than the gameplay, but that was fun too.

Ty the Tasmanian Tiger is peak summer game. It's basically set in a setting inspired by the Australian outback.

I'm not surprised they have a lot of people in game dev roles. They are making games and an entire engine.

I want games to have labels that they use AI generated assets. So I can avoid them.

That gives me absolutely 0 confidence that any passion is going to go into the development of this game. It's just another big IP microsoft is determined to extract value from on a regular basis. I guess that's what happens when you don't deliver and microsoft comes knocking. But microsoft doesn't even care if you deliver.

As long as they stop with the limited time always online bullshit I'll likely be happy.

That sounds far more interesting than fallout. Fallout as an IP seems kinda overdone now and it's restrictive (they don't even want to do anything outside America).

Pre order a game that cancelled it's playtest a couple weeks ago due to most likely being behind schedule.
