Modding Skyrim, looks like the 2021 Anniversary DLC is both necessary for a lot of mod lists and prohibitive on older mods.

As fun as retro computing and gaming is, I've found emulation to fulfill that itch for a more reasonable price.
I use Qemu/KVM with virt-manager, I'm currently playing with Windows XP and trying to get games like AOE2, Warcraft3, etc running on it. Eventually I may get an old white LCD 4:3 monitor.
Retro handhelds like the Miyoo Mini Plus, Anbernic RG35XX-H & Trimui Smart Pro are cheap and fun portable retro game handhelds, they are becoming very popular and the firmware mods are getting better.

Rachael Dixon and two other people are believed to have consumed mushrooms at the Soul Barn Creative Wellbeing Centre in Clunes near Ballarat.

Because public schools have to compete with private schools, the uniforms make them look comparable and has more of an effect on the parents perception of value of the school.
Each public school gets funding dependant on enrolment, the end result is absurd pricing for single income parents. When I was in High School we could get a $7 shirt from Big W and look identical to other students minus the logo.

I see references of previous Starfleet officers such as Worf or Captain Sysco;
With Worf the writers where careful to create a scenario where it was known and out in the open, that the only Federation law he broke was leaving the ship without authority, which he was officially reprimanded over. The actions he took on the Klingon vessel were considered lawful in and of itself.
Captain Sysco's may be more relevant and example, but to me it felt more like a necessary decision for the benefit of future outcomes. To compare this to SNW S02E08, I don't feel they outlined that he was a future threat to anyone, that being said I am undecided on the Sysco comparison.
I have also seen reference to Captain Picard's assimilation, but to me that one is not appropriate as it was against his will.
In regards to Dr M'Benga killing the diplomat? I supposed this is two questions, whether a federation doctor should have been written to have killed a person as well as how Captain Pike / Starfleet should handle it in Season 3.

Victorian police have arrested Erin Patterson in relation to the suspected mushroom poisoning deaths in regional Australia.
**OPINION** >Tap off: Why Melbourne’s public transport system doesn’t need ticket cops >You haven’t truly experienced Melbourne until you’ve had an unsavoury experience with a public transport ticket inspector. >Known as authorised officers, they’re a part of the fabric of the city, patrolling the network to ensure you pay the fare. They’re dressed in a SWAT-like outfit, donning black vests, cargo pants, and hard boots. They have a holster strapped onto their belt (to carry a card reader). Their demeanour is typically stern, and they always congregate in groups. Even when they’re patrolling undercover – where they trade in their black vests for oversized black hoodies – they’re as easy to spot as a horse in a haystack. >Their appearance and attitude could easily lead you to believe that they’re police officers, which is probably not a coincidence, and it’s long been felt by many Melburnians that this new generation of fare cops is a calculated, cheap tactic by the Victorian government to stop evasion through intimidation. >Earlier this month, a Melbourne teenager created a fake Public Transport Victoria poster that was plastered across a number of public transport stops that read, “Don’t touch your Myki on or off. Authorised officers are violent thugs that target minorities. Fines are only a punishment for being poor. Refuse to pay. They can’t fine us all.” >The allegation that authorised officers discriminate against minorities and poor people struck a nerve across the city. Hundreds of people commented on this masthead’s social media accounts to share similar experiences, many of whom were young students and/or minorities. >Having lived in Melbourne all my life, I have been an unintentional fare evader. I was 19 years old when I cried at Melbourne Central Station in front of a gaggle of authorised officers, trying to explain my situation. I was running late for university and after touching off, four officers approached me. Their tone was immediately harsh as I dug around my backpack for my laminated concession card, to no avail. They began writing a fine of $288 as I begged, pleaded, and offered up proof that I was a student. At the time, I couldn’t afford a takeaway coffee, let alone a fine. >My tears developed into a panic attack and an onlooker watching said, “run, they can’t chase you”. I cried some more and tried to push past them, but two of the inspectors used their bodies to stop me. After 15 minutes of embarrassment, they let me go. The entire experience was demoralising; authorised officers in Melbourne have a special way of making you feel like you’ve committed a crime worthy of jail time, even when you haven’t, or genuinely haven’t meant to. >According to a 2016 study led by Professor Graham Currie, a public transport researcher at Monash University, that looked into the psychology of fare evasion, there are four types of fare evaders: accidental evaders, “it’s not my fault” evaders, calculated risk-taking evaders, and career evaders. >Though I was an “it’s not my fault” evader, we’ve all seen the accidental. They might forget to touch on when they jump on a tram, or can’t touch on before the train doors close. Then, a deep feeling of embarrassment when they’re stopped by officers, who ignore requests to rectify the situation. Do these people, usually someone late for work or not a tourist not realising they left the free tram zone one stop earlier, really deserve a $288 fine? >Most of the revenue lost in Victoria due to fare evasion comes from the career evaders, who were the smallest group of the four. These people were found to be typically wealthy and chose to evade for the challenge rather than being unable to afford the ride. Of this group, Currie said, “We’ve got this archetypal, old view that it’s a young person or a drop-out that’s doing bad stuff. No, that’s not what’s going on.” >What is going on, though, is that despite research showing the majority of fare evaders not having criminal intent, they are still being treated as though they do by the Victorian government’s authorised officers. >The findings of Currie’s research, which was commissioned by PTV, saw in an increase in the number of authorised officers patrolling the public transport network, and posters around the city that showed an inspector alongside the slogan: “If you’re worried about being caught freeloading, you should be.” Together, the research, advertising and increase in officers has led to a decrease in fare evasion. >I don’t endorse fare evading – I think paying for a service is fair, so long as it’s worth the cost. But it’s safe to say many Melburnians believe two things: Myki is deeply flawed, and officers are too harsh. >I can respect that authorised officers are merely doing their jobs and making a living. However, we should be criticising the system they work under, which seems to resort to public shame tactics and humiliation rather than education, and the way in which they are trained to do their job. >Now that I’m older, I doubt I’d cry in the same situation. But as a young woman, did I deserve to be treated like that when I was just trying to get from A to B and made a genuine mistake by not having my concession card in my backpack? >Myki fines feel like a punishment for a system that is frustrating and difficult to use. So why is the majority still being punished for the bad behaviour of a wealthy minority who get their kicks from flirting with danger?

>I played it on my phone which nowadays is the port of the pixel remaster. I loved it and I thought it was great! I definitely felt a little overpowered due to not fleeing at all. I would recommend checking it out, I got just under 28 hours of playtime on my first run.
cross-posted from: https://midwest.social/post/2310989 > It’s a great game and I’m so glad I finally got to play it. > > I’m running a RTX 2070 Super and a Ryzen 5 3600 with 32 gigs of RAM. Using Xenia-Canary I could run the game at 1080p with decent framerate, but that caused some really unpleasant brightness issues at night, so I stuck with 720p and honestly stopped noticing the low resolution after a while. The game ran at a stable 60 all the way to the end and I encountered absolutely no issues besides some flickering shadows once or twice. > > If you have a decent gaming PC and have never played the original RDR I strongly recommend you try this. It can be a bit of a faff to find what emulator settings work for you, but once you get it working properly, it’s an absolute blast. RDR still holds up really well in my opinion. >

I'm looking for a a manga that came out in April 2009, It contains 4 different Star Trek TNG stories called; ---- - **Changeling** >Picard assigns newly commissioned Ensign Wesley Crusher to his first away mission. What follows is an amusing lesson in humility for a newbie ensign who's just a little too full of himself. Stardate 43903.2 Trade paperback anthology of manga-style Star Trek: The Next Generation tales. Edited by Luis Reyes and Bryce P. Coleman. ISBN 9781427812728, 5 in X 7.5 in, 192pp, b&w. - **Sensation** >Answering a distress call from an archeological expedition, Crusher and Troi must find the cause of a disease affecting expedition staff that ultimately begins to spread among the crew of the Enterprise. Stardate 44389.2 - **The Picardian Knot** >The captain's emotional state is in question following an aborted assassination attempt by a Romulan officer. Stardate 43920.9 - **Loyalty** >While Picard is recuperating from his assimilation by the Borg, Riker is called to a secret meeting. Senior Starfleet officers want to sideline Picard and put Riker in command of the Enterprise. The first officer mounts an emotional defense of his captain, with some surprising help from Commander Shelby. Stardate 44012.3 ---- There was also an October 2020 reprint called *Star Trek: The Manga - Boukenshin*. >Star Trek Graphic Novel Collection Volume 135. Hardcover reprint published in the UK. More information about it is [here](https://www.wixiban.com/comics/tokyopop.htm) & here [here](https://www.startrekcomics.info/tokyopoptng.html). ![](https://www.startrekcomics.info/images/eaglemoss/v135.jpg) ---- I have looked at GetComics & LibGen, neither have it, libgen has only a single 2006 TOS manga. I have a usenet subscription if that is helpful. As per the instance rules, I'm not looking for a specific link, I should be able to figure what direction to look next with a point in the right direction.
