Dust is meant to give you an instant overview of which directories are using disk space without requiring sort or head. Dust will print a maximum of one 'Did not have permissions message'.
Dust will list a slightly-less-than-the-terminal-height number of the biggest subdirectories or files and will smartly recurse down the tree to find the larger ones. There is no need for a '-d' flag or a '-h' flag. The largest subdirectories will be colored.
It's like a killer combination of du and sort oneliners that actually shows me what I want to know: What's the big stuff in this dir.

Depends on the machine and.. maybe other things. I used to think that, too, but on my current machines I can step backwards just fine.
It's probably a much more intensive operation requiring processing a lot of the file from before and throwing away current buffers or something.

Trying to find out exactly what privacy policies or documents apply to the use of Microsoft 365 Education is an expedition in itself. There is a serious lack of transparency, forcing users and schools to navigate a maze of privacy policies, documents, terms and contracts that all seem to apply. The information provided in these documents is always slightly different, but consistently vague about what actually happens to children’s data when they use Microsoft 365 Education services. Maartje de Graaf, data protection lawyer at noyb: “Microsoft provides such vague information that even a qualified lawyer can’t fully understand how the company processes personal data in Microsoft 365 Education. It is almost impossible for children or their parents to uncover the extent of Microsoft’s data collection.” Felix Mikolasch, data protection lawyer at noyb: “Our analysis of the data flows is very worrying. Microsoft 365 Education appears to track users regardless of their age. This practice is likely to affect hundreds of thousands of pupils and students in the EU and EEA. Hardware and embedded software engineer Kévin Courdesses has replicated research into breaking the flash encryption on selected Espressif ESP32 microcontrollers — including the ESP32-C3 and ESP32-C6 — using side-channel attacks to extract data and even bypass secure boot functionality. "I recently read the Unlimited Results: Breaking Firmware Encryption of ESP32-V3 (Abdellatif et al, 2023) paper," Courdesses explains. "This paper is about breaking the firmware encryption feature of the ESP32 SoC [System on Chip] using a side-channel attack. This was an interesting read, and soon, I wanted to try to reproduce these results. To understand everything about this attack, I wanted to start from scratch, even if it meant sometimes reinventing the wheel."

SÄHKÖN hintaa nostavat tiistaina ainakin vähäinen tuulivoimatuotanto ja Olkiluodon ydinvoimalan kolmosyksikön sähköntuotannon keskeytyminen. Olkiluoto 3:n sähköntuotanto keskeytyi sunnuntai-iltana turbiinilaitoksella havaitun vian takia. OL3 kattaa noin 14 prosenttia Suomen sähköntarpeesta. TVO:n tämänhetkisen arvion mukaan sähköntuotanto Olkiluodon kolmosyksikössä alkaa uudelleen puoliltapäivin tiistaina 21. marraskuuta. OL3:n ongelmat ajoittuivat sään puolesta huonoon aikaan. Tiistaille on ennustettu Suomeen kunnon pakkasta. Samalla kantaverkkoyhtiö Fingridin tuulivoimaennusteen mukaan Suomen tuulivoimalat tuottavat tiistaina vain vähän sähköä. Ennusteen mukaan tuulivoimaloiden tuotantoteho nousee korkeimmillaan tiistaina aamuyöllä runsaaseen 700 megawattiin. Keskimäärin tuulivoimalat tuottavat tiistaina sähköä runsaan 300 megawatin teholla. Teho on todella matala, sillä tuulivoimaennusteessa käytetty kokonaiskapasiteetti on 6 445 megawattia.

Kuluttajariitalautakunta myös toteaa, että sähköauton latauspaikkaa ei ole tarkoitettu pysäköintiin sähköautoa lataamatta. Kuluttajariitalautakunta antoi asiassa päätöksen huhtikuussa. Kuluttajariitalautakunnan mukaan kuluttaja oli pysäköinyt auton alueelle pysäköintialueen ehtojen vastaisesti, koska autot oli pysäköity sähköauton latauspaikalle autoa lataamatta – kuluttajariitalautakunta piti siis valvontamaksua aiheellisena.

Helsingin yliopiston rikosoikeuden professorin Kimmo Nuotion mukaan kirjauksen taustalla saattaa olla suomalaisen dosentin Johan Bäckmanin kaltaisten henkilöiden toiminta. Mahdollista tulevaa lain kohtaa voi jopa nimittää ”Bäckman-pykäläksi”. Bäckman on levittänyt Venäjällä perättömiä väitteitä Suomesta.
