I've been trying. Unfortunately, people in power seem totally unresponsive to the needs of the people. Don't know what the optimal solution for that is, but historically, the solution is usually something you're not allowed to encourage on social media.

Yep. I'll keep my Dualsense, thank you very much. The trackpad is invaluable for things like weapon selection, and having the gyro default to on means I don't have to take my hands off the face buttons to aim. Also, flick stick rules.

Apparently the Horipad's gonna be that. I think I'll stick with the Dualsense.

No. 538 gave Trump the best chances out of any model, which Nate was criticized heavily for. 1-in-3 chances, which is what Trump had in 2016, are still pretty likely.
Have you heard of the critically acclaimed webcomic Homestuck? With over 8000 pages and the award-winning soundtrack and animations which you can experience the entirety of for free with no restrictions on reading time.

I'd love how they plan to regulate people buying their own batteries and wiring them up to their own bikes.
Sounds extreme, but that's the exact same arguments that they use against regulating firearms.

Hmm. Self-organizing projects whose workers work on them entirely based on their need to be done, and the results freely distributed to anyone who wants a copy?
Literal fascism, obviously.

IDK, maybe the penguins and seals of Antarctica might get mad at us for drilling for oil down there or something.

What is there to think about? I complain about people who support Soviet-style dictatorships having full control over online platforms moderating exactly as one would expect, and I get told by Random Guy On The Internet #368,452 that I'm apparently a hypocrite because wanting action to be taken to stop authoritarians from controlling social networks makes me the real authoritarian or something. All this to "suit my agenda", which in this case is wanting to be able to say that authoritarians are bad.
God forbid I find arguments like that incoherent and unworthy of taking seriously.

I prefer the XKCD map. Really illustrates that whole "empty space" thing pretty well:

Yep. Something needs to change if we want Lemmy to be something besides a place for Soviet simps to hide from criticism. Authoritarianism cannot be tolerated.

To be fair, all Prowlarr does is make searching multiple torrent sites easy. That's basically what this site does.

I mean, that's the problem you get when so much is readily archived. If whatever's currently coming out sucks, there's so much history to pull the greatest hits from that you can just...stop watching new content. For years. Possibly ever.

If media companies want us to consume their products legally, they need to make a version of Prowlarr, but for legal streaming sites.

I hope he realizes that having moderation isn't a choice social media websites get to make anymore. That's Apple and Google's choice now. Why? Because in order to have literally any userbase at all nowadays, you have to have an app. Websites barely get used in comparison to phone apps. And if you don't bother moderating your website and let people send things like racial slurs and child porn unabated, you get kicked off the app stores by Apple and Google. Not to mention that payment companies don't like those things either.
