Got my two kids tickets for thw Madrid show last night (surprise birthday gift), they had an absolute blast!
So stupid question: I went to go by Shipbreaker for 16$, evrything went through but I could not find the game in.y games & apps, I had to search through "all" and there it was, clicking it it said I need a game pass subscription to play. Is this right? I have to have a sub. to play a game I purchased? I got it refunded because I couldn't find a good answer.
So story time. Way back in the day I needed to have some more Math credits to get into culinary school (math was not my best subject in high school), and enrolled in the local CC. Now to round out my classes to qualify as being a full time student & take advantage of those benefits, I took a couple electives including Shakespeare. I took this class with my friend from HS, and we got up to the usual shenanigans in a class where everyone else were renfaire & thespian types so they took it very seriously. For our final, we were to present an act from a play. Everyone...and I mean every body else in the class came in dressed in the part they were going to act out (and remember, this was back in rhe day before cosplay was a thing). And then there was my buddy and I, presenting Othello in sockpuppetry. Now, the kicker was, my friend had been failing and I really wasn't in to the class so I was averaging a C. Because of our originality and perfect presentation I got a 2 grade bump and an A, and my friend got a C. BEST. FINAL. EVER!

cured for 3 days with salt, pink salt, brown sugar & toasted spices, Smoked for about 5hrs. Orange zest, juice, sugar, vinegar reduced to brush on at the end.
Single greatest pic of me @ THE championship game, flew back home from LA, lost my voice, took 2 days to find a flight back...so worth it!
Pickled cauliflower, drained & tossed with cornstarch, fried quickly 1-2 minutes (or air fry at home), dust with seasoning salt & bbq. This is a riff off the original dish I made this for which was basically the same prep, except finished with Generasl Tsaos sweet hot sticky sauce, served over rice & garnished with sesame & scallions.
This was a spread I did for our friends memorial last week. Elaine Kew was a remarkable and lovely person who would have enjoyed this. It gave me an excuse to use the gold sheets I've had for years. Various cheeses, charcuterie, grilled antipasti, foie gras and pate. We set it up for self service in our small restaurant and it was one of the few times i could be woth everyone instead of in the kitchen.
