Solo indie dev mashup of Risk of Rain, Helldivers, Vermintide, etc with its own soul and style of knights with guns. Dev is very active in the discord and takes feedback and actively plays with the small community the game has garnered.

I played the demo on a whim during a next fest expecting a janky joke of a game to laugh at but a decent and fun game caught me by surprise. It’s been improved and updated quite a bit since then.

I don’t really have a dog in the fight, but I feel like every time I see people say it was too easy they all just never used the echo switch skill. I’ve dabbled in horn since I started the series and that’s how it always played. Rise was just faster and had QoL. I guess the simpler songs are generally frowned upon?

Aside: I believe it was a mistranslation or mislabeling of the two modes since echo should have been double note input and recital should have been the dedicated song button, not vice versa.

I have never been a try hard in any game, let alone MH. But I am immediately turned off by the tracer and auto-targeting focus mode stuff. They just keep messing with my bow too much in these mainline titles for personal taste.

Get Crime Boss: Rockay City instead. $20 full price with all the DLC included. Single player rougelite campaign mode. Multiplayer missions with RNG so they stay fresh. Hilarious mostly horrible voice acting by washed up celebs. Fantastic gun play. Just a great value really.

Could be Southern Decadence. Plenty of chances to make Jesus’ sacrifice worthwhile there.

“Inspiration” is generous for Fistful given that Kurosawa sued Leone, albeit with admiration for the film anyway. And of course Magnificent Seven was just a western remake as well. Fantastic films all around, but “inspiration” went a little harder back in those days.

Played 3 hours last night with a buddy. No MOBA experience. We both had more fun than expected, even losing all our matches.

I already saw a community problem with people saying to forfeit within the first 10 mins and trying to abandon games. So I hope they keep the bot match options for when even the unranked queue gets shitty. Cuz it’s just a matter of time like all games.

Me and the boomstick have never gotten along, even in Rise. But this little preview guarantees I'll be trying to work out our differences once more. Those sidestep shells and the counter guard make it seem like they bridged the gap to my poke stick just a bit more.

Biggest takeaway for me (maybe) isn't IG specific. But the speed and smoothness of that Focus Mode attack looked really well incorporated into regular combat flow. Showed what I was hoping to be the case that it will be easier to integrate it based on your weapon. It just looked slower for the GS on that charge turn.

The spore charger is pretty neat and the mega hive is proper intimidating and tough, with an egg you can carry to extract for extra samples (got 2 pinks and 4 rares with mine). They did what I feared they would do with the impaler and let it place and attack with its tendrils wherever it wants. So the game design language from the first game letting you know where it is to go take it out isn’t there. Just like charger butts not being their weak points. Baffling really.

Don’t sleep on their later albums either. I did for a long time, but have come to appreciate them as I age. I think I like A Thousand Suns more every time I listen to it.

Exactly. The wounds appear to generate through regular attacking, so if they don't inflate HP to "balance" around needing to use focus and its just a bonus (like WEx essentially is anyway), then this should be fine. If it becomes necessary, it could be claw tenderizing 2.0.

yeah, it seems to just be the new tenderize that is (maybe) more smoothly integrated into combat. But its honestly a tad concerning they seem attached to it as an external mechanic vs just the tenderizer skill esp after its poor iceborne reception
