"Red Algae" by Dr. Nathanaël Prunet for the 2022 NSW Competition!

This piece, by Dr. Nathanaël Prunet of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's Department of Biology, came 8th Place in the 2022 Nikon Small World Photomicrography Competition. But in my opinion, the competition was fairly stiff! To me this looks amazing, and is a testament to the beauty of the nearly invisible, that we overlook nearly every day.
