TIL that in ancient japan instead of buying ninja swords at the mall you had to contact this guy called a "Black Smith" who would make one for you

apparently he'd fold it like 20 times or something but if i got one i wouldn't want him to do that because i don't want my sword to be bent

sucks there's no malls back then though. i can't go sword shopping without an orange julius
