Finding Communities

I’m new to Lemmy and getting to grips with it all. I’ve found a community !education@lemmy.world using the aggregator lists in the starting guide. However if I use wefwef app or vlemmy in browser the search isn’t seeing this community so I can’t join. Am I doing something wrong?
