So, it seems like this community did not have any kind of activity for the past year, but recently [!vexillology@lemmy.world](/c/vexillology@lemmy.world) and [!vexillologyjerk@lemmy.antemeridiem.xyz](/c/vexillologyjerk@lemmy.antemeridiem.xyz) have been opened with a few posts already, so if you're looking for an active community please check these out, thank you!
The U.S flag could be interpreted to represent Nazi beliefs; the history of the U.S seems suspiciously similar to Nazi beliefs, to the point that an argument could be made about the U.S being the real Nazis. * The belief in a superior race (whites). * Hate against a religious belief (atheists instead of jews). * Ultranationalism. * Imperialism. (U.S invaded *tons* of countries.) * Racism. ([The Nazis were also inspired by the U.S's racial segregation.](https://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/2017/11/what-america-taught-the-nazis/540630/)) The only difference from Nazi Germany is the lack of antisemitism. --- # Interpretation of the U.S Flag * The white color could represent white supremacy. [The U.S government site also says the white color symbolizes (vague) purity.](https://www.usa.gov/flag) * The red stripes could represent hegemony of "American" blood. [The U.S government claims the red stripes represent valor and bravery](https://www.usa.gov/flag); but the history of the U.S shows otherwise. lmao * Blue could represent the psuedodemocracy of the U.S. (I really want to escape this shitty country...)
