I use lidarr in combination with these scripts for downloading.

Really nice set up, add music you want in lidarr and it just magically appears for you.
For front end I use plexamp like others have mentioned
Hey all! Saw some chatter across the community and just wanted to give an update of where things are. It's been a busy summer with vacations, work and the craziness that comes along with it. I personally had 2 new additions to my family (twins!) and was on parental leave for a bit then figuring out the new work routine with the additional kiddos! All that being said things are starting to stabilize for me and I'm getting back into the swing of Liftoff development. I have a laundry list of items I plan to tackle during the long weekend in the US: - Move through the backlog of open PRs and get those merged - Look into the unwarranted post view refresh that I've seen reported - Triage the GitHub issues list - Sluggish FPS Additionally we're actively discussing larger user experiences that we're thinking about changing, specifically multi instance and cross instance account handling. You can track that discussion and please contribute your thoughts here: https://github.com/liftoff-app/liftoff/issues/251 Thanks for using the app, and thanks for being an active community. Excited for what's to come! As always please join us on matrix!

Yes it's still being developed. You are right there was a slowdown. I recently had twins and was on parental leave then back to work. So I'm getting back into the swing of things. I have a laundry list of items I plan to tackle with the long weekend in the US.
Sorry for the slowdown!

We don't really want to do that because it's impossible for us to keep it up to date. Instead we're going a browser redirection route using app deep links with a tool called:

Woah nice find. This is outta control. I think our new infinite scroll library will make this better. That should be in the next release and I'll personally keep a close eye on this. Pretty wild. Thanks for reporting!

The card shadows are a little much. I forgot those were on my default. @mykl@lemmy.world would you agree?

This looks really great! If you're interested in contributing to an app you should check out Liftoff!
We're totally open source and community contribution driven and we're moving fast! But we're lacking designer contributions!
If you're interested check out our open GitHub issues/enhancements:

The Mario is from fab365 and it's a bunch of tiny parts you glue together
zachatrocity 1 year ago • 100%
This is currently not possible. We'll see about supporting it. You can go darker with AMOLED, but I know some users want an in between.
More theming capability will come eventually but likely after official iOS/Android release

We're working on improving the interactions for non logged in instances. Specifically trying to enable functionality that should be possible if you're on a different instance that is federated.
You can track the progress here:

Thanks for the report, will get this fixed

Ah.. I see, thanks for clarifying.
That will be low priority on the todo list. We're focusing on base functionality to get us to our 1.0 release for iOS and Android. Contributions are welcome though!

I believe that's what the preview icon in the top right does?

Basic notifications were added last release and more features are are already added for the next release. This is a good idea though

There is no tracking through this public API, unless you're already logged into Google but at the point you probably don't care about privacy
zachatrocity 1 year ago • 100%
Lol this could mean 100 different things. Do you have an example of what you mean?
This is already sort of a WYSIWYG editor
zachatrocity 1 year ago • 100%
There is an open feature request for this on our GitHub. However it is lower priority. Our main focus right now is getting the apps core features complete, keeping performance up, and releasing out of beta

The 3d Mario took the longest cause there were so many tiny parts to glue.
The Z-Hop inlay parts were only about 45 min each configuration with sequential printing on my voron
Hey guys, I used to post a bit on Reddit whenever I would do zhop inlays. But now I'm on Lemmy and I wanna share with this community! It's sort of tradition for our household that I 3d print the cake decorations for our birthdays. This year's theme was Mario! I printed most items using the Z-Hop inlay method with sequential printing in super slicer. I also printed a box that the turtles shells, bricks, coins, and mystery blocks can go it so we can save those for future play.

There are plans for more mod features. We did just add back the mod log which seems to be helpful. But mod actions are planned

We've added modlog in the latest release. And basic mod actions are coming.
Additionally notifications are really close to being done

This seems very high and something we will look into. I wonder how much of this is related to new versions due to active development. We'll look into it!
Took this picture on backpacking trip in the Frank Church. Easily my favorite picture I've ever taken and the best place I've ever been backpacking!

I was able to add your instance:
zachatrocity 1 year ago • 100%
Hey there! Welcome to Lemmy, and thanks for trying Liftoff!
Some context: Liftoff is a FOSS revival of a previously abandoned Lemmy app. Because of this we got a lot of great things already completed, but also some pain points like the one you mentioned above. One of the main focuses of the original was to provide a tailored experience for people with multiple accounts accross multiple instances. We've come a long way in 2 weeks but we're still in beta testing and there will be bugs and user experience issues that we're working on.
To your points:
- Right now search or hyperlinks from posts are the only way to discover communities but we're working on a community discovery tool.
- In order to provide an experience for people who don't know Lemmy we add Lemmy.world as a default instance. That can be deleted from the account settings by pressing and holding on Lemmy.world.
- Currently if the links to communities aren't formatted with the /c/ notation, there is a bug where the email app gets opened. The fix for this is in progress and should be in the next release.
- You can't currently rehide NSFW posts but that's good idea for us to implement.
- About the saved posts I agree this is hard to find and something we're wanting to tweak. If you have multiple accounts across multiple instances then you have different saved posts depending on the account. That's why it currently found on the account page.
Thanks for trying the app and stay tuned as we're fixing bugs and adding features daily!

We're working on making link handling more intuitive, which includes parsing links from markdown to communities and users.
Until think you can link the community in your comment/post by using this icon:

Hey everyone! We have been blown away by the response to Liftoff and we really appreciate the support of the community. We're passionate about creating an app that we want to use and we're excited with the progress. There have been a ton of updates and bugfixes this week and we wanted to share the latest state of things ### v0.9.18 Release #### iOS: - [TestFlight](https://testflight.apple.com/join/jKENkGjX) #### Android: - [GitHub](https://github.com/liftoff-app/liftoff/releases/tag/v0.9.18) - [Play Store](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.liftoffapp.liftoff&pli=1) - F-Droid is coming - If you want to stay up to date with the latest releases before it gets on Play Store or F-Droid, [checkout Obtainium](https://github.com/ImranR98/Obtainium) ### Changelog - Fixed issue where "Everything -> Subscribed" feed showed no posts - Added better compact view - Added Post Customization page in settings with live preview - Added ability to customize font size - Added ability to quickly toggle between card and compact view - Fixed mark as read not working, added mark all as read - Fixed issue with comment share link not being generated properly - Added Gesture Navigation (Thanks [shocklateboy92](https://github.com/liftoff-app/liftoff/pull/82)!) - Added TOTP Login support (Thanks [swmarks](https://github.com/liftoff-app/liftoff/pull/56)!) - Added animation configuration (Thanks [johnc86](https://github.com/liftoff-app/liftoff/pull/45)!) ### Known Issues (In progress) There are a few bugs still that we're working through and we really appreciate all the support from the community helping us Beta test. Here are some of the known issues we're working on: - User and community link opening within the app is finicky [#107](https://github.com/liftoff-app/liftoff/issues/107) - Separate default comment sort from default post sort - New sort in community page's posts sometimes not working properly - Unclear usage of everything feed causing seemingly duplicated posts across the difference instances. - [Check here for a full list](https://github.com/liftoff-app/liftoff/issues?q=is%3Aopen+is%3Aissue+label%3Abug) ### Screenshots ![](https://lemmy.world/pictrs/image/442c1cab-c1ea-4622-8889-8b0ed7dd393c.png)
