Do you want to use tailscale so you can vpn from your laptop etc when your away from home for pihole to block ads on the laptop? Wouldn't it be easier to run ublock origin on the adblock on the laptop instead?

yeah definitely not a priority for now and if you're going to use AWS or something similar I think it much much better to use it for text translation so it's easier for people to communicate across languages seamlessly (another thing phanpy does greatly! it autodetects text in other languages and translates it for you below the original text wihout needing to click anything)

Thats awesome! I wonder if it will be possible to conveniently click to generate a transcript of words in the audio posts for people who have hearing difficulties or just can't listen to audio in the moment

Is there somewhere I could point others to so they could learn from your work? EDIT: Not sure if I'm misunderstanding the notifications, if I keep it on do I get notifications about replies to only my comment or any replies to the thread (which is what I want, like forums did\do)

Does the PWA support notifications? If not you could ask the Phanpy dev how she got them working so well on Phanpy, she's a great dev and has really good taste in terms of ui\features. Btw the option isn't appearing on ios but I know my phone can use PWA since I do for Phanpy and i did for Voyager

For anyone else interested in Lemmy API compatibility there's a Feature Request on the PieFed CodeBerg https://codeberg.org/rimu/pyfedi/issues/13 and db0 has offered to help if he gets a PieFed API doc. (He runs the dbzer0 Lemmy instance and has made bots to prevent csam and helps with fediverse stuff so I think he would be a great contributor)

How does Notify About Replies for comments work?

PieFed seems to be the only fedi software that allows you to automatically receive notifications on a post when you comment on it (which i love!) so I'm wondering if this was something custom you built since no one else has been able to ship this.

Thats awesome! Is there a reason its for logged in users only? I think it would be best if it was available to everyone since I see this becoming a good repository for useful information like reddit so having it easier for people to search would be convenient.

I think it would be convenient if it was a search field on the top middle of the page instead of a button that takes us to a search page. It would also be nice if the Title section of the Create Post page automatically searched and displayed a dropdown of different posts\comments with similar text so people can find existing threads\answers they're looking for when making a thread.

    Keep up the great work!
