I think I may have seen Glass Cannon play this on New Game Who Dis? I thought it looked fun but isn’t there like massive heaps of stuff to roll up just to play? Not only your characters whole life so far but like the whole star system? I’ll admit I was intimidated.

I have a copy of Ironsworn but I’ve always thought it was basically solo? I will crack it open, thanks!

Hey I know it’s been a minute. I appreciate all the suggestions! Some of these were already on my radar but no direct experience so, thank you! I’ve decided to grab some of my past 5e characters that I feel I know pretty well, throw together an equivalent in some of these systems, & try to solo them, see what I learn! If anyone wants to recommend good actual plays I’d love it!!? Prefer YouTube over podcast but either will do in a pinch. If I fall in love I’ll definitely come back & share! Happy Gaming!

And more stuff - possibly some teen/preteen players so at least need to have options to tone down / cut out extreme bloody sex horror. Also, I believe in rulesets & settings are separate things. Genre less important to me as fixing the problems I mentioned.
I’m looking for a better TTRPG experience. Started with AD&D in satanic panic era, left, came back to 5E a half dozen years ago. Got a great group & GM but some things just don’t suit me. For one, wouldn’t mind being done with Hasbro. My biggest issues in D&D? Character regret, & swinginess. Rolling up a character idea that sounds fun, but in-game always seems to go some completely different direction & now I’ve got an established character everyone depends on but locked into an un-fun stat / ability set. And ALWAYS whatever my concept is I can’t seem to roll for crap in those stats even with the bonuses, failing check after check when it’s the one thing I should be good at. That should only be possible rarely IMHO. Goals: I want above to go away or be much weaker. I want to be able to introduce friends & family who are new & unsure, probably rules light? But I do like dice rolling & some structure, don’t know if a pure storytelling game would work. Can’t be purely abstract. I love a good campaign but also a lot of times just want to be a beer league player, sit down, go to a cave & smash stuff, without needing a complex story to it. Party needs gold, rescue the missing turtle, let’s get swinging. Have thought for a long time about maybe west marches type scenarios. Show up, solve problems, check boxes, bring a new sheet to the next game whenever. Would work great for some of the gang. Not at all adverse to player death. Sorry so long, love to hear opinions!

Was so glad when he re-signed. He’s a prototype. Running the ball might be what he does 3rd best. Huge fan.

No lie, when first round of roster cuts were made, & they were talking about having too much talent at RB, I was asking why don’t we trade CEH & keep one of the guys who really showed up in pre-season that we let go. Glad the coaches knew more than me rn

You ain’t wrong, though, refs wanted their 15 minutes of fame.

TBH, no rules expert, but I don’t think it from a late out of bounds hit, but you can’t really ever get away with going head-to-head on a QB. No low tackles, stay away from their head, don’t take more than 2 steps, don’t body them to the ground, etc. I think that’s why it was Unsportsmanlike, but I could be wrong.

Again I want them to prove me wrong but I think we play one playoff game & watch the rest from home.

Man our HC & QB got so much class. Everybody saw the same stuff we did, everyone wants to ask them about it, they roll off of it. I love Andy about Pacheco - got to have more composure, “even when they’re shoving his head in the dirt”. & Patrick saying he wouldn’t ever speak out about folks having fire cause that’s where their game comes from. We ain’t gonna get in trouble talking crap but we got our boys back, too.

Poor officiating all around left a bad taste in the mouth there. Put a taint on the game for both sides AFAIC. All game long the Packers were wrestling, shoving, throwing guys to the ground after the whistle. Never even brought up, by refs, coaches, announcers. Not just a little, more like consistently.Watch the build up to Pacheco’s ejection, our guy had enough of it & fought back - ejected. No need to talk about the non-calls for PI. Pretty obvious to everyone not in stripes. In fact I’m surprised it was ever called at all because they were blatantly indifferent. I didn’t watch closely but I can’t believe as much blitzing as there was that there was almost no holding calls, something that’s usually called heavily. I can’t say we would’ve won or not except for the bad calls / no calls because they just ruined any chance to see what a fair game would be. There should straight up investigate the ref crew.

Not for the reasons I thought. Still sucks.

Considering the PI calls that weren’t made, I’m surprised they called any at all. Seems like it was all open play to the zebras. No talk at all about a couple series earlier when the Chiefs receiver was tackled before the ball was even thrown, ended the drive, Packers go on to score. Hard for me to say one no-call had more impact than the other.

6 points in the first half, average <5 ppg in the second half all season. Statistically, we won’t win this one even if GB never score again. Sure hope the boys prove me wrong.

Damn it where’s my sideline hotline? I seen Jalen all alone in the backfield & yelled watch the QB draw but no one heard me. They sent the blitz & ran right past him.

Holy crap. Eagles have been sacked on every single 3rd down they faced in the first half. I guess Spags got them dialed in.
Every team the Chiefs play : “The refs favor the Chiefs, it’s ridiculous”. The refs: “Jawaan Taylor” Maybe we can get big man a different jersey number next game?

Knee was down when he released the ball. That’s a sack. No one is even looking at that.

If our corner touches a guy’s belt before that guy shoves off, it’s Defensive interference, but if Kelce is wearing a LB as a coat 2 steps before the ball gets there, it’s all good I guess.

They play way up in the box all the time though, if the opportunity comes, we got a great chance of booming one over their heads to an open field. Fingers crossed!

Absolutely boils my blood when ref calls things one way but the other team commits the same penalties & there’s no call. Not just once off but repeatedly. A lot happens in a game, I don’t expect perfection, & there’s always room for players to step & play better regardless. But when we go 3 & out after a hold, & on the next series the other team gets a 1st down on the back of a hold, BS, brother. Not OK. Gotta let the guys know expectations & give the same opportunities to both teams. Straighten up, zebras.

Yeah I’m kinda curious what Mahomes’ comp % was vs his average. A lot of things going on in the game, lots of situational plays & individual ups n downs. but the number of balls boinging off of people seemed way above norm.

For sure a valid question. My presumption is that the same drugs legally produced & sold under that country's regulations would have a reasonable factor of safety. Good enough for their own people anyway. I think also if I'm faced with the decision, no insulin because I can't afford it, or drugs only approved to Country X standards, I'm already in a risky situation. For sure some people are already doing this & having to do so illegally.
upernikos 1 year ago • 50%
Dumb idea, I know nothing about this all. What about alternatively opening up across-the-border purchases, allowing people to legally buy from other countries at a fraction of current US prices. Drug companies can still set their US, uncontrolled prices at whatever they want, & no one has to buy it from them. It'd be like, a Free Market at work. I know this is oversimplified & there's a lot of complications I'm not aware of, but, just a thought. Also, speaking of unconstitutional, isn't group collusion to manipulate the market a violation of Sherman Anti-Trust law? Just saying.
