Hi friends, I have a question for you out there. What is it like to drive an awesomely fast sports car. Like a Porsche or Ferrari or Lamborghini? My question is more about the accelerator pedal. Is it more sensitive? Or does it depress a further distance than your typical Ford or Buick would? How do you control the speed around town if the machine is built to go so much faster so much more quickly than your average daily driver? Thanks for indulging me.

There has been quite a surge of sports on the ‘net as of lately. I do wonder why that is?

Right on. Sure the interiors might show their age. But for a car that’s pushing 30 years old, it is still incredibly sharp.

I had my battery replaced by Apple on my XS. I was down to about 80% life, maybe less. I have seen a very noticeable improvement in battery life. It seems to charge faster when I’m using it on a charger. And before I was losing like 40% of my battery overnight while my phone sat here. Now it’s maybe 2 or 3%.
If you go with Apple they also replace your speaker since it’s integrated or something? They also accidentally cracked my screen when replacing battery, so I got a new battery, new speaker, and brand new screen for like $80 or $90. Definitely breathed new life into my phone.

What is meant by:
In a Threads post, Zuckerberg took a light jab at Twitter while optimistically predicting that Threads could become the first online public square that attracts a billion users
Doesn’t Facebook already have more than 1 billion users?

Wow this is so cool, I had an Aero Press way back in my college days. Didn't know they were still in existence / popular. Best cups of coffee I've ever had.

Alright you caught me in a good mood, so I’ll throw some articles out here to explain my line of thinking. I hope you’ll see I’m not arguing with strawmen.
Article from October of last year describing right wing outrage to drag shows.
I believe some else mentioned the Paradox of Tolerance, but I will link it again just in case you missed it.
I hope this clears up my line of thinking. No invisible boogymen here - just some examples of,
In my opinion, things changing for the worst. And if you were not arguing in good faith… oh well.

I just took a peek at that user’s profile. Saw what magazines they moderate. Not surprised we have a different point of view.

The far-right brings messages of hate, violence, intolerance, and attempts to pass legislation to justify their views. The far-left has brought us the weekend, the 40 hour work week, child labor laws, etc…

At about 20 hours in I remember thinking, “hmmm this map isn’t too awfully large. I handled BOTW no problem.” But my god the map is deceptive of the sheer size and “hidden” regions.
60+ hours in now and I think maybe 16% of all achievements? Wild.

One thing I suggest is:
You're trying to get something working but it isn't going anywhere? Try again later.
First, because of the obvious calming down, since stress can affect the person's capacity to solve problems.
Amazing how many situations in which this can be applied!

I love rats! They’re like small dogs, only way more intelligent. Shame they live such short lives :(

That seems like it will present a problem. If an uninformed redditor asks, “hey is it safe to move this wire?” And some troll replies, “yes”… with no one there who is knowledgeable to moderate. Might lead to some disastrous outcomes.
*edit - I agree with you forcing the admin’s hands. Im not sure they know what they will be getting themselves into.

I loved the time-travel level in Titan Fall 2. I don’t play a lot of games so it definitely felt very unique.

@Otome-chan@kbin.social
that makes sense, thank you. Now, I’m starting to understand “instances” are like servers. I’ve picked kbin.social to start. Are we free, as users, to create as many Magazines as we’d like? Or does that put too much stress on the smaller server?
For instance, I saw that kbin.social had a ‘sports’ magazine, but not one for golf specifically. So I created one. Was that correct, or should I have found an instance of kbin that caters to sports?
Call me a bird, because I’m now migrating. Poor jokes aside, I’m hoping to ask a quick question. And I hope this is the place to do it. But since it’s a learning experience and I’m asking for help I won’t be offended if you tell me. Anyways, I’ve been dabbling with kbin and Mastodon a bit. I thought I might like Mastodon since there is an iOS app. But I don’t quite like how it’s laid out. It seems like I need to follow people or things for them to show up for me. With Kbin it feels more like Reddit in the sense that there is an ‘all’ page comprised of many subsections to explore. Am I correct in this assessment?
