The first red box shows that the dotted line underneith the text doesn't go all the way to the s in the text above. In the other red box, the dotted line goes all the way.
The neice submitted a patch to add the missing line.

Great writeup, crazy how easy that one was. Basically a HTB ctf

Any idea which unit type systemctl defaults to if there are a timer and a service with the same name? I've always left the .service
off, but it makes sense to get into the habit of adding it if it can cause confusion.

This reminds me that I need to go fishing... I spend way too much time inside these days

Those look great, but I currently use a hand grinder. Forces me to do something in the morning if I want my coffee lol

How long would you say they last? My socks are starting to get holes in them after four years I think? I got them at my local Krogers

This is a good tip. I tend to buy my shoes at the grocery store, and they barely last a year. I'll have to look into doc martins

Hell yeah! I wondered when it would start. Anyone know what time the other subreddits are going dark?

Curious about this as well 🤔

I think my next laptop will be one preloaded with coreboot or libreboot, been eyeing something from the system76 lineup. Until then I'm stuck with this MSI gaming laptop lol

Hey, thanks for the great response!
I was wondering why all the supported hardware were thinkpads from yesteryear. That makes sense about IME too. My laptop is definitely too modern then, unfortunately.

I got a question. How likely am I to brick my laptop by flashing libreboot if it's not on the supported hardware list?
I'm a software guy, so I don't fully know the dangers of messing with firmware lol

This was such a good read. Makes me want to get into application security auditing.
If only it was easier to find things like this, but sadly most companies aren't this scummy/incompetent xD

Yeah it's pretty slick

Adding to this, journalctl -fu service
will jump to the bottom of the log and effectively tail -F
the log so any new output will be appended to your terminal

I'm a Rust noob too, my work is in Java. However, I don't think a mirroring tool would need to be implemented in rust necessarily
redawl 1 year ago • 100%
So I had actually already done this when I switched to bookworm when it wasn't stable.
I am curious: what does setting LC_ALL do? I'm familiar with all the other commands though

I could be interested in working on writing a mirroring tool if that is something people would like. I'm a developer looking to work on a project related to lemmy so if anyone wants help or needs contributors to already established projects please ping me :)

Echoing what everyone else is saying. The fact that there's servers that can access each other is kinda breaking my brain right now, but I'm also excited for the reddit -> lemmy migration and looking forward to seeing this place grow.

Can confirm, having the same issue on mobile. Maybe its just a mobile issue?
redawl 1 year ago • 100%
Woo! Noob question, but I've been using the debian apt repo for a while now, is there anything I need to do to use the stable repo, or does that happen as a side effect of the bookworm becoming stable?

Awesome! Yeah, I was in the same boat, had only proxied requests through burp. I had done some .apk analysis for an android CTF and found it fascinating, but it's definitely harder to get into the iDevice space. Fascinating though, once you open that door.
Just wanted to post a couple of really interesting medium articles I found on Iphone pentesting. As an Iphone user, I have always wanted to see the source code of the apps I use, so it has been really interesting going through the process of jailbreaking my old iphone and ftping the .ipas to my host machine for analysis. The articles I found most interesting from this user were: [Setting Up a Jailbreak Environment For Beginners](https://medium.com/@lucideus/setting-up-a-jailbreak-environment-for-beginners-e3225944b400) [Preparing IPhone for Application Security](https://medium.com/@lucideus/preparing-iphone-for-application-security-6b32962bee94) [Extracting the IPA File and Local Data Storage of an IOS Application](https://medium.com/@lucideus/extracting-the-ipa-file-and-local-data-storage-of-an-ios-application-be637745624d) Hope y'all enjoy!

+1 for Communities, since that's what they are called in the official UI and documentation
redawl 1 year ago • 100%
Same here. A lot of lemmy instances are struggling with all the new people from reddit I think lol.
Most of the ones I tried just timed out on hitting sign up

Thanks Mr. Dude for this instance. I will try not to be a lurker like I usually am, and help contribute to the community.
I am an early (I think) refugee from reddit. Can anyone recommend some communities to join? Still confused about the whole federated thing. Tried Mastodon a while back, but as someone who never used twitter I was pretty confused.
