Honestly this just made me burst out laughing for so many reasons. First of all he assumes I'm a refugee which btw I am not, I'm half Czech born in the Czech Republic way before there was any conflict in Syria. Second he calls me subhuman scum thinking he is some tough guy offending me really hard. Third of all he got offended at my Assad profile picture on telegram which was exactly what I hoped when setting it. That and you know, Allah, Syria, Bashar! and all. And to top it all off he told me to go back to a country I have only visited twice and I don't even have a citizenship in yet. I love and hate Libs at the same time lmao.

Yeah I heard about the protests and there definitely were Americans that didn't support the war. The war support was still pretty high tho. I remember reading a survey about American support for the Iraq war. From my understanding they asked 1400 something American adults back then and in 2018 about what they thought about the war. In 2003, 71% people supported the war. In 2014, 50% called it wrong while only 38% said it was right. In 2018, 48% said the war was wrong but 43% of people said it was the right decision. Judging by these numbers you would expect some people to admit they either supported the war back then or even that they think the war was a good decision now. However I have not seen anyone directly admit to it since the Russian invasion. Closest thing I saw was "the war in Iraq was different" but when someone follows that up with "Do you think it was justified then?" they backpedal and say no. Really strange.

It's a shame It didn't exist back then. I see so many people claiming "Well I was actually against the war in Iraq the US government never fooled me!". If twitter did exist back then, It would certainly lead to a bunch of "Caught in 4k" moments now lmao.

It's more like "Oh you say the invasion has a reason and didn't just happend because Putin is evil? You must be a Russian bot then. What's that? You also condemn Amerikkka for destroying Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya and Syria and many other countries both directly and indirectly? That's clearly whataboutism." Like the redditors legit don't have any other arguments than these. It's really annoying.
