stop being so hard on yourself, for one. There's nothing moral about being able to perform the things we're expected by ourselves and/or others to do, especially in such a sad traumatic place as this.
Think of your favorite person ever: If they confided what you said here to you, hopefully you wouldn't see them as a bad person. You'd see someone who really wants to do right and is struggling. One way that helped me process this is it's a bit individualistic to think you're worse than every other person. Give yourself the same consideration you'd give to any other person.
And speaking of individualism, we're not living in the world that would make getting by in any way easy. Capitalism is soul crushing and you are not exempt just cuz you're yourself and you expect yourself to be able to. We aren't meant to have so much individual pressure on ourselves.
You should work on liking yourself, i think. Give yourself more of a chance.
and you're not a drain on your parents. It sounds like they're fine financially and you didn't even ask to be born so you're good there ,too.

if you have a kid you're doing an absolute disservice to them with that attitude. like if u have a girl you're gonna be like nah that wasn't sexism dont worry ur pretty little head? everything is political. especially parenting.
e from what I personally think about the movie, I don’t want my kids to have to worry about politics or anything other than living their lives as kids, innocent and joyful and that we as pare

yup, 100% right. these orgs are failing people by trying to appeal to democrats by staying meaninglessly "anti Putin". you don't have to get any false ideas about him to ACCEPT he is acting against u.s. imperialism and that's good.

undefined> parents, and plenty of struggling
that's my biggest thing... why just have fascists and rich people having children? the idea that having children is inherently selfish is just not true. a lot of people just understand having children as a stage of life they want to reach. which yes, we should tell people they can live a fulfilling life without having their own children, but there's gonna be children and keep being children and we have to reach them and their parents too.

I had a child when I was really young and I wouldn't have one now... That makes me feel guilty, but I am a great parent. The best I can be, at least.
Even if you love kids you might be happier and less restrained just helping parents and kids. I've found your child and their wellbeing is heavily used to wear you down from political action.

i think only people on the internet would find offense in being called 'not a communist'. if you don't want to dedicate your life to building a communist party in your country that's fine, but not communist. that's not an insult. most people are apolitical and just want to live their lives.
comradebanan 1 year ago • 100%
i agree. most people want to live their life and not think about politics. think about how it is now, basically. We absorb capitalist 'culture'(or lack of, however we want to think of it) through background noise mostly. We pick up stuff from entertainment and from wherever we do frequent: for a lot of us that's work, and/or school, and possibly 'online'.
we should seek to disseminate our ideas through many channels.
some people are very theory minded and political and like to study texts and apply it to real life situations. that won't cease to exist because we try to appeal to people in less explicit ways. in my opinion, it will likely increase the amount of studious and politically involved workers just by increasing the amount of people who are being exposed to communist ideas.
For me it was hearing figures like Tupac or Helen Keller were communist, or pro communist, that made me interested in the first place. I looked into them as figures, then into communism in general.

i think that's great, and i dont mean it as an insult, as you pointed out Paul Robeson avoided joining the communist party or ever calling himself a communist for really strategic and pro communist reasons.
i think communist should be a label for people in communist parties. mostly a semantical thing

you're not a communist just for agreeing with communist beliefs. putting them into action means being part of an organized collective; a party
